Composition and Appearance:
He is the very picture of an Imperial officer. Standing 5'11" and in excellent physical shape with piercing dark eyes and swept back black hair. He is rarely seen in civilian clothes, often wearing his gray admiral's uniform.

Personality:
He is courteous, polite, and respectful to everyone he meets, giving fair treatment to prisoners of war, and civilians. He inspires a great deal of loyal from the men under his command, he prefers to promote creativity in them, rather than merely punish their failures as his Sith counterparts do. He also encourages his officers to voice their own ideas, giving them consideration instead of dismissing them for not being his own. His support for the Sith-controlled Empire stems from his lack of belief in the democratic system of Galactic Alliance. Believing that a strong central government is necessary in maintain peace, order, and stability in the galaxy.

Likes and Dislikes:
On his off time he enjoys writing, hiking, star gazing, and the simple pleasures of not having the burden of command. However, he loves the thrill of battle, the sensation of dread and fear that come with each, and the subtle beauty of a well organized attack. He fully supports the Empire, believing only it can bring peace to the galaxy. He utterly despises the Galactic Alliance, perceiving it as a corrupt system that serves only the bloated and greedly politicians who have no concept of what duty to the common citizenry means.

Strengths and Weaknesses:
A master of strategy and tactics he is constanting thinking, analyzing, and strategizing. Which allows him to remain a step ahead of his opponents. These gifts do not stop him from admitting defeat however. Knowing when it is time to retreat, rather than stand fast and fight a losing battle.

History:
Born on Agamar to parents who did not have in the way of money. He joined the Imperial Navy to escape a life of poverty. Starting off as a mere low ranking crewman, he rose the enlisted ranks quickly and soon gained an appointment to Bastion that of the Empire's most prestigious military academies. Graduating top of his class he given the rank of lieutenant assigned as Deck Officer to the Imperial Star Destroyer Storm's Fury. It was unusually well placed assigned for someone to receive as their first assignment, top of the class or not, but Darch excelled and his career was quietly watched by a few of the Empire's higher players. After five years he was rised to the rank of commander and given a vessel of his own. Tasked by Imperial High Command with hunting down pirates and smugglers operating along the Empire's border regions. Darch in little less than a year had captured 57 smugglers and their ships and had destroyed 14 pirate groups. By the time the Sith had launched their coup against the Emperor he had made captain and was in command of the Imperial Star Destroyer Steadfast.

Due to the peaceful relations shared between the Galactic Alliance and the Empire. Darch knew it was unlikely he would rise to the rank of admiral in anything approaching what he considered a reasonable time frame. As the centuries of peace had caused both sides to reduce the sizes of their respective military forces. There was no need for more than a hand full of the highest ranking officers. When the Sith took open control of the Empire, however, and expanded the Imperial Armed Forces in what even a mynock could see was the preparation for war against the Galactic Alliance. Lucien Darch knew his time had climb further in the ranks had come.
