Prakess was a cold world and the Rancor beast was an intimidating creature. These two things should not be put together ever in order to make an entertaining fight. This grand tournament seemed cruel in nature, but the public loved all the harsh climates and death defying circumstances. The best part for some was that nobody could die. That was the only part that Granvier didn't like about it.

He stood in the middle of an open field and waited for the rest of the participants to arrive. He was teamed with the Jedi Grandmaster, something he took as a great priviledge, for he figured that he would not be able to lose with the most powerful force user on his side. On the other side, a bounty hunter and some sort of project which he knew nothing about. Off in the distance, he could hear a rumbling of the Rancor approaching the fighting area to disrupt their otherwise peaceful match. Oh, it would be fun.

Utterly indifferent to the frigid climate, and seemingly oblivious to the guttural sounds of the Rancor, the Grandmaster arrived in the open field. The Grandmaster said naught to his teammate, and began scrutinizing the horizon. He had been unwillingly paired with what seemed to be an assassin. A profession for which Sarus had nothing but contempt. It was too late to resign now, however. His opponents were approaching.

Unlike the Grandmaster, Project MANIFEST did nothing, but scrutinize and critique the potential of his new ally. Unfortunately, all of his assumptions and estimations were negative, and quite frankly, very insulting. He had heard of the Grandmaster, and sighed that he couldn't be teamed up with "by-week".

"Who are you?! What kind of name is Lupin anyway?! This tournament is rigged... I swear..."

Lupin sat apart from his ally who scrutinized him incessantly ignoring the man he looked out across the icy world seeing his opponents he smiled. The cold air bit at him as he looked at his opponents but something far more chilling coursed through his body his sixth sense. One of the opponents was a Grandmaster of the Jedi Lupin had expected weakness from the old man but he knew power when he felt it this could spell trouble for them.

Rumbling sounded far away in the distance the Rancor would soon be here but he felt no fear over this snag he'd slaughtered beasts before though admittedly he hadn't killed anything of its size. Hearing the project speak over the distant rumbling breathing out a misty vapor he answered the man."Lupin is a name bestowed upon me by the leader of my clan my now deceased father if I had not shown strength as a warrior they wouldn't have given it to me. Forever to walk through life in shame without a name. Which I of-course avoided is that enough to silence your fears of my presumed inadequacy or would you rather a show of my strength and skills?" Reaching behind his back with one hand he pulled out the massive sword Carnage and swung it into the large pack of ice they were standing on not bothering to wait for an answer.

With a rending noise the sword tore through the ice creating a deep crack traveling many meters either way from the sword. Pulling the sword out with practiced ease he sunk it silently into the ground and leaned against it. "I suppose we should discuss a strategy that'd would make our teamwork more efficient or would you rather just attack them slug throwers blazing?" Lupin waited silently for the answer he didn't like the man but he felt cooperation would be in their best interests.

"We need to focus our efforts on a single target, follow my lead." MANIFEST retorted, as he turned his attention back to the Jedi Master, spraying an onslaught of molten hot metal from his two slugthrowers. He'd been bred to fight jedi, just in case they ever turned on the Republic. He was the insurance policy, so to speak. It was time to prove it.

Immedately the Jedi reacted. Calling on the Force to enhance his movements, Sarus leapt high in the air. With a twitch of his finger, a blue blade of pure frictionless energy boiled forth menacingly. The Grandmaster calculated his every gesture, and as he fell, he directed his trajectory on his opponent. At unparallelled speed the Jedi came down upon the PROJECT, his cerulean lightsaber coming down in a blindingly fast strike. Sarus had trained for years under the tutelage of the wisests Jedi Masters the Order had witnessed. Losing against a mere Bounty Hunter was out of the question.

In the distance the rumbling was growing louder the Rancor would be here soon but for now the combatants fought. Lupin followed the project but was slowed by his sword Carnage. In his left hand he the blade scrape lightly over the ground to conserve his strength he ran after Manifest who was now yards ahead of him attacking the Grand Master. He watched how the G.M. leaped into the air and with great grace began to fall igniting his lightsaber for an amazingly fast strike. Lupin reacted quickly grabbing hold of two vibro knives he chucked them with deadly accuracy at the spot where he expected the G.M. to fall. This Lupin hoped would be a big enough distraction to aid the project while he pulled out his slugthrower getting ready to open fire.

[G.M.=Grand Master.]

With a quickness to almost parallel that of the Jedi, MANIFEST held his arms up in an "X" formation, catching the blade in between his two massive gauntleted arms. Even with the heavy durasteel, and the limited energy shields, the cerulean blade was quickly slicing through, and he had only a few moments to do something. Anything, basically. Holding it for a moment more, he shoved up with the combined effort of both of his strength enhanced arms. This was a ploy to get the Jedi off balance, while he smashed him to the ground with a powerful boot to the gut.

Taking his time to get in the fight, Granvier watched as the Grandmaster worked his magic and lept all over the place. Seeing that the other two were not worrying about him at all, he walked over behind the bounty hunter as he threw his vibroknives, then took out his own vibroblade. With a quick and powerful stroke of his blade, he brought it down towards the back of the man's head, seeking to make this more of a one on one, two on two type of battle.

BAC NOTE: I have a message from Dex. Dex's keyboard is not working properly and he cannot seem to log in to anything on that computer. Therefore, he will be unable to post for awhile and has asked me to ask you to kindly wait until he is able to post once again before you continue in this match. That is all, thank you.

Lupin felt a tingling sensation run down his back an attack was coming that he wasn't expecting. This was annoying he needed to aid the project in battle against the grandmaster without interruption. The assassins blade found its mark scraping and cutting a small scratch through his flesh onto the back of his skull. Lupin could've dodged the blade but he took the hit to know the exact position of his enemy.
Using Carnage's weight he spun around causing the vibrosword to cut into his cheek until finally he caught the blade in his mouth biting down on the metal with all of his strength actually holding it still. As he caught the blade rendering it useless for the time being he opened fire sending streams of molten metal at the assassin with his slugthrower. Actually hitting the assassin would be easy like shooting a fish in a barrel at this range if the man didn't dodge but there was a chance that if the man stayed he could kill Lupin with the vibrosword but he'd die riddled with bullets from lupins slugthrower.
