NAME: Lux Tenebris

FACTION: Independent

RANK: N/A

SPECIES: Vahla

AGE: 26

GENDER: Male

FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes, Trained

APPEARANCE:

Physical: About average Height for a Vahla (2 meters ~ 6.5 Feet), Medium-Long Black hair with 2 white locks adorning his temples, Muscled but slim, lavender eyes, Straight white teeth, light unshaven beard/goatee, Ashen Gray skin, weighs around 225 lbs (102 kg), chiseled jawline, unblemished skin.

Often wears a black hood, which shrouds his dark skin nicely, wears light to medium armor so as to maintain mobility and physical deftness.

The black hood is part of a loose black cloak that comes down just past his knees.

Medium armor on his torso but lighter on his extremities.

Coloration of the armor consists of a midnight blue with red accents.

Black boots come up to the knee that fold down at the top.

ATTRIBUTES:

Lux is physically strong and generally can lift around 1.5 times his own weight. (~300 lbs / ~150 kg) Lux can travel for long periods even by foot fully armed and armored. Lux is practiced in the art of shooting and keeps his aim honed with both pistol and rifle alike. Because of Lux's force sensitivity he has quick reflexes, can manipulate fire, create small bursts of energy (lightning) that he can hurl short distances, impress ideas/emotions upon the weak minded, manipulate small to medium sized objects with little exertion (50 lbs ~ 25 kg), and can heal smaller wounds. Because of his force sensitivity Lux usually can sense danger nearby, and the presence of lifeforms (larger lifeforms are much easier to detect than smaller). Lux is a fair negotiator and can often get better deals from vendors, traders, and larger rewards for bounties (even when not boosting his prowess with the force). Because of his species Lux is extremely flexible and can bend/contort what would seem like more than he should be able.

Lux is astute and likes to learn new things, but learning new languages is not a strong point. While fluent in Basic, he relies on droids or translation devices to speak to those who are not using this form of language. Lux is not well learned regarding the galaxy's species, and cannot readily identify many species by name. Lux in relation to the previous sentence is unaware of the traditional customs followed by very many species. While Lux isn't ignorant nor racist, he has much to learn regarding the galaxy's inhabitants. Lux generally has a positive outlook on life, and isn't inspired by greed. That doesn't stop him from being impulsive from time and purchasing that new toy/doodad, blaster upgrade, speeder bike, etc.

PERSONALITY:

Lux Tenebris is a fun guy. He likes to have fun, tell jokes, be facetious, and hang out with others. Lux generally likes to include people, but can be put off by those who are mean and rude to others. Lux will stand up for himself and others when he feels appropriate, but will also let others fight their own fights. When Lux accepts a contract he likes to complete it fully, no need for half-baked resolutions. Lux is honest when he speaks, but will often remain quiet and let others talk until he deems it appropriate or necessary to put in his "two creds". Lux is heterosexual, and a natural born male. Lux is non-judgmental and is generally accepting to anyone who is at least friendly. Lux is open to helping others he doesn't know, and will perform small acts of kindness even for strangers. Lux is willing to help friends, but knows the worth of his knowledge/skillset and will likely negotiate pay when he feels it appropriate.

BIOGRAPHY:

I grew up with my Mother Al'mum Tenebris and my father Umbra Tenebris. We would very often travel between planets and stay for a short time. Father would only fly into spaceports as was necessary for fuel, parts, and commerce. Otherwise we were spending time in the wild, hunting for both sport and food. Mum would usually go gather some flora for eating and some others for decoration. As it were, even she was a decent shot with a rifle. I spent most of my time following my father around learning advanced hunting and crafting skills. We would most often hunt nerfs as they were plentiful and meaty. Not to mention their fur and skins for craft. As I grew and learned more from both my parents I would became more and more self sufficient and even to the point of holding competitions of the selling of our hand made wares to see who was the better salesman. It wasn't until I got a bit older that I realized my father was using the force to entice some clients to buy more than they had intended... Haha those were good times. The older I got, the more acquainted I became with many skillsets including, use of the force, cloth and leather hand crafting, blaster maintenance, and of course the art of shooting blasters. I started getting really good, even better than my dad! Though, he'd never admit it. Life as we had it seemed a grand thing, until that dreadful day.

It was on that day I woke up late in the morning, I had hunted well into the night the night before. I was exiting our ship and realized just how late I had slept, the dew had already dried from the grass in the field where our ship had been landed a few days back. The nearby star had already begun to heat up the landscape. It was quiet, which was a bit odd, usually you would hear buzzing of the over-sized bugs that inhabited the area. Nothing. Not a chirp. I thought nothing of it, until I heard the 2-way transponder with my Father's voice coming from the other end. "LUX! LUUUX!" He sounded frantic, so I quickly responded "What's going on?" - "Quit with the questions! Come at once!" he then provided me his coordinates and I leaped up at once ran to the small swoopbike that I had bought the year prior off of a spicer who "needed a hit" and sped off as fast as it would take me. After having arrived at the foothills of a nearby mountain, I found my father kneeling over something in a tall patch of grasses and dazzling flowers . I ran over, and it wasn't until I came close that I realized that it was my mother. She had been killed by a predator. The gashes made it obvious that this beast was a large cat-like creature. My father sobbed into the corpse that had once been my mother. I just stood there in disbelief, I could see with my eyes what had happened yet my mind was failing to capture the reality of the situation. "What happened?!" I couldn't help but ask my father. "We were out here gathering flowers when this creature came from nowhere and... and....." He couldn't finish the sentence, but he didn't have to. "I shot off a few blaster bolts and scared it off" He continued to sob uncontrollably into the remnants of my mother's dress. Just before I allowed myself to drop into my own crying fit, I felt something...

Not physical, a thought... a feeling... "dad" I said almost under my breath. The feeling got stronger, I turned my head and in the not so far distance I saw what my feelings did not reveal. Something, or rather some things, were headed our way. I grabbed my father by the shoulder, and said "We have to go, NOW" I've never felt so stern in my entire life up to that point. My father heard the seriousness of my tone and looked up at me. After seeing the fear in my eyes, I could tell that he could feel "it" too. "We can't leave her here, son." - "We must" I responded, feeling ever so frantic. We jolted as fast as we could to the swoopbike, but the felines were approaching faster. As they got ever closer to our frightened souls, we could see the leading beast more clearly now, dark brown fur, with fierce orange eyes, razor-sharp claws, and a maw that would break an arm should it get the chance to clamp down on one. After getting to the bike we realized that there was only room for one, and we clearly wouldn't outrun the monstrosities on foot. Being the man that he is, took out his blaster and turned to fire a few shots at the charging animals. He then said "Get on the bike and leave me! I'll not go without a fight and I'll soon be joining your mother!" Before I could argue with him he turned the blaster and shot near my feet. That got me jump started right onto the swoop. I started the repulsorlift and heard my dad say, "You get goin' on that bike and you don't come back for nothin'!" I nodded, and said "I love you Dad!" He smiled and nodded back. I punched that bike into gear and darted off back to the ship. I heard a rain of blaster fire and yelping growls, that is, until the blaster fire ceased. And I knew the inevitable had come. I promptly left the planet, and have kept my dad's wishes ever since "don't come back for nothin'!". I've asked myself sometimes, is it because I'm afraid to go back?, am I ashamed that just left my dad to his ruin?, or is it because I had lost my whole family in what seemed to be a one hour period? No, none of those matched my feelings. It's because I respected my father too much to go against what became his last wishes. That was about ... 9 years ago. Wow, time really does fly.

Since then, I've scooted across the galaxy rarely returning to what had previously become my family's main source of living. I picked up some odd jobs here and there, mostly what seemed to be shakedown operations for those who had loaned money to less than reputable people, and this was primarily in the Spacer’s section of Celanon city. I've been in my share of brawls and was mentored by one of the “kingpin’s” guards for melee tactics and fighting. I came to find that my preferred method of close combat was with dual short blades. Large knives that I could easily conceal in the top of the boots I wear. I collected a lot of money with a low return on my part. That is until I took my first real bounty, a killing bounty. At the time I didn't know it was an illegal bounty, so I accepted all the same. I "borrowed" a heavy carbine from one of the henchmen and went on my way. It was an easy bounty really, a local rodian who really thought he was some hot stuff. I walked right into this guy's home and shot him right between the eyes, no hesitation. My first thought was, "I haven't lost my aim!" so proud of myself I returned to the thug and received my payment. Even on this illegal bounty I wasn't paid too very much, three weeks rations. It wasn't too long later I realized that this "kingpin" was really just a schlub, a middleman; and low-level at that. After doing some research, I found out about the illegal bounty. I used this as leverage to leave this scum behind with no baggage, a decent pile of money, and I even bargained to keep the heavy blaster too!

I have since been picking up legal bounties and fulfilling my contracts. I exercise, and hone my aim nearly everyday. I feel that I am even just yet beginning my journey through this vast galaxy. There is so much more to be had out there!

SKILLS:

A highly proficient marksman, he has spent most his life honing this skill starting at the young age of 7 hunting with his parents.

Trained in knife fighting and knife defense and can hold his own in this regard, someone who is specialized in melee style fighting might have an edge over him, depending on their skill level.

Has an intermediate knowledge of medicine/healing, and can usually identify flora that would aid in many scenarios.

He has an affinity for technology and can usually figure out how a new gadget works within a few minutes. He does not, however, have more than just a low-level understanding surrounding software structure (coding/hacking).

Has had many years of piloting experience, though this has mostly been with his family’s light freighter. Lux has had some star fighter combat experience, mostly against pirates.

Has proficiency in situational awareness and stealth, due in part to his force sensitivity. He is an adept hunter and so being has great self-awareness and can remain incognito, from the deserted plains of Tython to blending into the crowds of Coruscant.

Can craft a variety of cloth, leather, mesh, and plastoid garb he has used this skill to add additional customizations to existing armors and clothing. Given the raw materials with a few basic tools he can make clothes and armor of his own design, and given a design or a concept he can usually craft it to the requested specifications.

He was taught and maintains excellent blaster maintenance procedures, so that his weaponry maintains reliability and precision.

Force powers:

Pyro-kinesis – Can manipulate existing flames into shapes. Can flare a fire source to a few times its size. Can pull and manipulate flames into his hands. Can ignite a source into flame and keep it aflame fueled by the force.

Telekinesis - Can manipulate small to medium sized objects with little exertion (50 lbs ~ 25 kg). For larger objects or characters, he may be able to knock them off balance using this power. (This would include the power of Force Pull & Push)

Healing – Lux can use the force to heal small to medium sized wounds such as cuts, scrapes, burns, and bruising in a very short period of time both on himself and others. When it comes to larger wounds, especially ones that would prove fatal without a trained doctor or surgeon, he can assist others in a speedier recovery but would not be able to heal them himself.

Mind Tricks – Can influence the thoughts of the weak minded.

Enhanced Perception – Can see or feel things before they happen (reflexes), can feel impending danger, and can sense the presence of organic life (characters/creatures) and synthetic beings (droids) [Story Threads Only]

GEAR:

DXR6 Heavy Carbines – with mid-long range adjustable scope – custom lighter trigger

Two GSI-B4 Blaster Pistol – Hold-out blaster held in a concealed holster on Lux’s lower back
Other on Droid

Lux’s Chest piece has a small, smart chipped, wireless/wired capable, audio/video recorder, biometric/tech scanner that integrates with the smart A.I. on Lux’s ship (see below) and can provide on the go updates/translations via Lux’s earpieces, Lux also installed a universal datapad interface located on the inside of his left forearm, this integrates with the Smart A.I. as well. Lux can relatively easily exchange this between sets of armor.

Generics (Lux handcrafted):

Chest piece is of medium consistency, the outer layer is a plastoid composite, the next layer has an anti-blaster mesh, followed by magnetic shielding, with the inside being made of a comfortable insulation.

Shoulders, arms, and legs are covered with lighter versions of the above armor composition.

Gauntlets are of the same make with the palms and fingers being covered with a thinner/lighter/more malleable plastoid.

Tactical knives are sheathed on the inside of the boots & concealed pockets are within the top folds.

Hello, @HagPuppy! If you don't mind, I've got some friendly tips:

  • Your technology (Armor, ships ets.) needs to be linked to a thread on the technology board.
  • Also, a small side note, precognitive abilities can only be used in story situations. It cannot be used in PvP combats to sense, detect, and/or avoid an incoming attack.
  • Oh, one more thing, the word "Independent" in the "Faction" section is misspelled.
That's all from me. Hope you're having a great day today!

These points above still need to be addressed. And your character can't be highly proficient at anything as a level 1. I'm being a little picky with the wording but I want to make sure you understand our level system. If you haven't already please read the The Level System rules.

Once you've addressed everything above let me know and I'll review your profile again.
