The collapse of the old ISB hierarchy under Stolas had changed a lot for both the Inquisitorius and those who resided within it. Before his death the Inquisitors had hardly stepped out of the shadow, their blade’s only touched a few throats, their words silencing a few voices. But now both Internal and External threats were on the rise and the Inquisitors could no longer sit back idle, they needed to act. But to act they needed manpower, manpower they currently lacked. Only hundreds of the Inquisitorius had to monitor the entire Empire and the threats outside. In Ryujin’s best estimate they needed to double that number to keep up with the expanding Empire and its enemies. Darth Anaris, aware of this problem had begun to look for more Inquisitors among the rising Sith Acolytes of the Empire.

One of them had been sent to Ryujin to test his aptitude. They were on the planet of Lianna, deep within the backstreets of the city's capital. The sound of speeders rushed far above their heads, the chatter of people going about their daily life filled his ears as he sat at a nearby coffee shop with a drink in hand. His eyes slowly scanned the little area behind the cup as he drank, looking for the Acolyte. He had been sent these coordinates along with a coded message that would only unlock once he reached the intersection ahead of him.

“Welcome Acolyte Jude, there are two people out of place in this section, one is out to kill you, one is me. Find the killer.” Is all it said. As this was a mission under his Inquisitor moniker Susanoo, the Sith had changed his look, he wore his hair long, down past his shoulder blades, it was blonde with streaks of brown and red. His face was covered with a variety of jewellery, blonde contacts and the signature red dragon tattoo’s tail coiling around his neck. Picking up his holo he opened up the news, still articles about Darth Caelestis and Darth Stolas filled the net, only reminding him of the threats which were out there for him to find and eliminate.

"Okaaay." Jude stared at the message for a moment as he tried to gather his thoughts, trying to remember the year on Pho Ph'eah, how he had survived there, how he had been forced to think. This was going to more of that, more games, more parlor tricks and misdirection.

Looking up from his datapad, he looked around, doing a quick assessment of his surroundings and spotting a number of viable candidates. His eyes momentarily crossed the same coffee shop where the Inquisitor sat, but he ruled it out as it did not meet his criteria, before settling on a restaurant that had a wide entrance and a bunch of droid servers.

Walking over, he found a table that would allow him to sit with his back to the wall and have a view of both the entrance and a decent chunk of the restaurant itself. Ordering a caf, he passed the droid a credit chip to scan for payment, and as the droid left he pulled out his datapad. The chip had a small bit of code on it that would have piggybacked into the droid's system when it scanned it, and now he had access to the droid's systems. A few quick commands allowed him to follow the droid's connection to the restaurant's network, and just like that he had access to few holocams at the different entrances, and more importantly all the droid servers. He had eyes and ears, now he needed to wait. Sometimes it was better to let the target approach you, specially when you could prepare for their arrival. At least that's what the books said, and therein lay a glaring weakness in his plan, all he had was theoretical assumptions on how things would play out.

Ryujin took another sip from his coffee as he watched the young man look around the clearing. “It's not going to be a cakewalk.” He mumbled to himself before the potential applicant made his way inside the restaurant opposite. Hmm, less vantage point of what was happening around him that was for sure. Not a good start, you need to see, to observe. But he would give the man some time; he had been recommended for the Inquisitorius by another Inquisitor within the Korriban House, so he must have something about him.

“Excuse me Sir, would you like anything else.” A waitress stood at his shoulder with a bright eyed smile on her face. Shuffling back to take a good view of her, Ryujin returned the smile before looking down at the menu on his table. “The marble cake sounds lovely. Can I have a slice as well as another Cappuccino?” He asked. The waitress quickly noted down his order on the pad at her waist and went off to serve another table.

Turning back to the crossroads, Ryujin aimlessly looked out watching the world go by. At the end of the day he knew what was going to happen here so he didn’t need to pay too much attention. It was up to Jude to figure it out.
