Lyra Lota

Lyra Lota is a minor noble, adventurer and socialite currently residing on Empress Teta.

Born to a third son of the noble Lota family, Lyra is a descendent of the Tetan royal family. Like many other nobles on Empress Teta, she claims a direct familial line to Teta, the mythical warrior empress. Raised in a smaller offshoot of a wide and expansive noble family, Lyra received an expensive and elite education as befits her station.

Upon leaving education, Lyra decided to travel for a while. As is the custom with many nobles who come of age, she undertook a tour of several Core worlds, taking in different cultures and environments. This broadened her mind more than expected, however, and lead to Lyra extending her tour again and again. Against the wishes of her family, she travelled across the Galaxy and spent several years as an explorer and minor adventurer. Her travels gave her a deeper understanding of the many cultures and governments in the Galaxy.

Upon the death of her father, she returned to Empress Teta in her thirties. She inherited the home she grew up in and her father's small percentage holding of the Mining Guild operations on the planet. Settling back onto her homeworld, Lyra started to try and balance her adventurous nature with the cunning and ambition needed to make it in the cuthroat world of Tetan noble politics.

Confident, charming and clever, Lyra possesses the drive and intelligence to go far in her field. Always stubborn, Lyra has been fiercely independent and set in her ways since she was a child. Her curiosity and compulsion to explore the Galaxy clashes with her ambition to further herself in Tetan nobility. Like most of her peers, Lyra holds a poor opinion of Coruscant and it's position in Galactic culture and governance.

Lyra is an experienced traveller and polyglot, with at least a passing knowledge of many major Galactic cultures and languages. Her upbringing has given her an excellent understanding of Tetan noble politics, although her own activities and background give her a disadvantage at doing so. Lyra is a competant ship pilot and adequate with both blaster and blade.
