Samantha continued to pace and look at the four as she stopped and opened her mouth wide in a yawn. She didn't go to sleep more just stood there and shook her head. From the tree Risty spoke. "Good team work, one of you might have failed but three of your trying to soothe her. I half expected someone might get bit. I think you guys are ready for your final part. A duel with Master Matsu." Risty gave a grin and motioned them as she hoped they weren't distracted and stopped to listen ignoring Samantha. She wouldnt' hurt them but most large creatures don't like the mental influence very much.

 

[Jax Vos]

Qyv smiled when he heard Risty bring up a duel with Master Matsu. That told him there would be some fun in this maze. Qyv pulled his lightsabers out and walked toward Risty. I'm ready for this, he thought. This would be hearder than the last time he dueled with Matsu.

 

[Fusion]

A duel with Master Ike...

Lamia quizzically grinned. She knew literally everything Matsu could do thanks to her bond with her, though she doubted it would mean anything while dueling.

 

[Prosaurus]

A duel with Master Matsu? He had duelled with Matsu before she had been a Master, but there had been no winner due to the fight being cancelled. He had also duelled with a Master, only to get cocky and lose. X'jan got out one of his training lightsabers and prepared to fight. Were they all going at once, or was it a one-on-one duel?

 

[James]

Tyrus raised his eyebrows. Another duel? He was still holding his lightsabers: it occurred to him he had never actually turned the power back up.

He moved forward, ready to fight when it was his turn, but still wary of the beast behind them.

 

[Syn]

Risty looked at the group and gave a grin as she spoke and pointed. "Go on she is waiting for you and good luck."

 

[Thorn]

Having gotten distracted while observing with the others, Are'kyl missed the whole Felecat incident. When he finally realized something had gone on, he went to where the others were, walking in on the end of the conversation.

"Go on she is waiting for you and good luck."


Who is waiting for us.... I knew I should have looked for clues a little closer... now I feel like I'm missing something.


Waiting for the others to show him where to go by moving on, he waited for one to go, than he would follow them.

 

[Jax Vos]

Qyv turned back towards Are'kyl. "You comming or not?" he called after the younger man.

With that Qyv headed to where Risty had indicated Matsu was.

 

[Thorn]

"Yeah" Aer'kyl replied before following. He still didn't know who they were going to, but it didn't matter. He was ready for anything.

 

[Prosaurus]

"Alright," said X'jan "Let's go." And with that, he went to where Risty had indicated with the others.

 

[Fusion]

Lamia followed the group that were going to fight Matsu. She was very eager to show her master what she had learned.

 

[James]

Tyrus followed along with the group, as cautious and as ready as ever.

 

[Syn]

Matsu was in the final clearing. She had watched their progress and was ready to test them as the final of the course. She had a few surprises for them but remained there on the ground in the kimono letting it hide her feet and look like a large white circle. Laid out on it was her equipment. Her fans and parasol, her lightsabers and sword with dagger and tanto. She wanted to see how much they had learned.

 

[Fusion]

Lamia ran to the head of the group and was the first one to spot Matsu.

Well, Master, it all comes down to this, doesn't it?

 

[Prosaurus]

X'jan saw Master Matsu, looking a lot older than she had last time. He doubted that she would remember him, but he surely remembered her. She sat on the ground with a lot of useless looking equipment, including and umbrella. Perhaps it was made of cortosis. Wither way, X'jan made sure he was ready to fight. She would be using that form where you flew, he remembered that, so he had to be prepared.

 

[Thorn]

Seeing the master that had set all this up with all her stuff, and hearing the other padawan, Aer'kyl was confused. He had no clue what to expect, and what to be ready for. Deciding against just standing around clueless, he decided to voice his thoughts.

"Just curious, but since I missed a little while we were investigating... What is going on?"

 

[James]

"I believe we are to duel Master Ike, Aer'kyl."

Tyrus looked at the parasol. An interesting weapon. He knew not how it would be used in combat, and he hoped he would not find out first hand: He hardly thought he needed the handicap of facing an unfamiliar weapon as well as a Master.

 

[Fusion]

Lamia looked at the other Padawans and smirked. The only person who could truly know the master was the apprentice. And as was the ancient Sith tradition, for the apprentice to truly considered equal to the master, he or she must best their master in a duel. Lamia knew all too well what she needed to do to succeed in her right of passage, and decided to give it a shot.

I'll gladly fight Master Ike first if none of you want to volunteer...

 

[Syn]

Matsu looked up and at the padawans as she spoke with a smile and bowed her head. "YOu have all done well I watched your progress. But now is the final and I am afraid the grading will be far tougher." Matsu didn't stand she just held up her hand and turned it palm up then showed it. "Now you all have one answer for the first part. In which finger is the power to affect the universe?"

 

[Fusion]

Lamia thought for a moment... which finger? This had to be a trick question...

All of them. Every single part of your body has the capability to affect the universe, even if it's in a very minor way.

Having been a student of the Unifying Force, Lamia's answer wasn't exactly that unsurprising.
