BIOGRAPHY
Built during the last years of the Clone Wars, M4-G7 is an IG-100 droid that didn't really have an impact during the war, designated as a bodyguard for an important separatist member fresh from the factory, the magnaguard didn't have too much trouble at first, most enemies dying on the front and the few clones that got closer were quickly dispatched by him and the other IG-100 units. However, it wouldn't last, since eventually he met his defeat at the hands of a jedi master and her padawan, being cut in half and thrown out of a cliff, heavily damaged and running out of power, M4-G7 thought that was it. However, a week after the confrontation, he would be repaired by a jawa scavenger that visited planets in where great battles had occured in order to retrieve the droids, repair them and sell them again, something that he obviously did with M4-G7.

After that, M4-G7 spent most of his life being bought and sold to other people, being used as a body guard, exhibition piece, assassin and similar. While his own story was a cycle of the same tasks assigned by different masters, much happened in the galaxy, order 66, the rise and fall of the Empire, the rise and fall of the First Order, so much happened that didn't really concern the droid, who just started to know about it from conversations it's various masters had. His last master, however, was special, a ranger who reprogrammed him to perform the task of, well, being a ranger, teaching M4-G7 how for a number of months and nicknaming the magnaguard "Magnus". The ranger eventually died while on duty against a dangerous criminal, but at least he left someone to replace him.

Personality and skills

One of the advantages of being a very old droid was that most people that bought you knew the value of the experiences of a droid that participated in the Clone Wars, profitting from what he learnt during the war or even making people pay to listen to those experiences. That meant that, aside from the adjustments his ranger master did to make Magnus a ranger droid, he really didn't have his memory wiped, which meant that he remembered most of what happened since he was created and that he developed a personality.

Magnus is probably the chattiest magnaguard there is, not because he runs his mouth a lot, but simply because he talks a bit, which is a lot in comparison to the rest of IG-100 that really never talked except to taunt their enemies from time to time. While an absolute lack of empathy and mercy should be expected from the average IG-100, Magnus is obviously more merciful, most of the "assassin" programming gone, most, however, doesn't mean all, Magnus has an above-average amount of kills for a ranger and restrains the usage of lethal force just enough to not be kicked out of the force, enjoying the safety of lethal means vs stuns and still enjoying taking lifes even if it's just a little bit. However, Magnus also has some sense of justice now, protecting the weak and the innocents being his main directive.

While in combat, IG-100 is, just like expected, capable both with a blaster and in close quarters combat, using his trusty electrostaff the magnaguards were known for. Magnus is also a capable pilot and even learnt to patch wounds from the ranger who took him in, something that is totally unbecoming of a droid whose initial purpose was that of an assassin.
