While Azar described the events that had happened during his conquest of Korriban, Caerllion briefly closed his eyes. He imagined how it would have happened, with Arcanos leading large armies of Purebloods in battle. His mind drifted to the glorious visage of the aftermath, with the red-skinned man standing in the middle of the subjugated towns, surrounded by his partners and lovers, while his troops screamed ‘'long live the king’.
It was an amazing sight, one that Caerllion never will had the opportunity to see due to his stupidity in pursuing Ayomi.
He opened his eyes when the Pureblood said that he could be a new Emperor. Such thoughts could be considered treason, after all the Dark Lady would never allow it. It had been a surprise that she had allowed Azar to become King of Korriban. Although, the Annfyn shouldn’t be surprised at all. Tempest basically never appeared in public anymore and no one ever heard of her since Cremek's execution. For months, Caerllion had sent messages asking for an appointment with her to show his experiments. However, she never appeared. The only time that she did it, Vahliri had basically appeared at the door of his lab, looked at the stuff that he did and left because something more important appeared.
He was aware that she was busy, but couldn’t she spare only one representative? Caerllion’s presentation would be fast. He even sent them in the form of an e-mail. She didn’t answer either.
It was as if Tempest had no interest in the Sith anymore. That her taking the leadership of the Order had been a simple capricious act, because she was the only one with a level high enough to do it.
"You would be an amazing emperor." if there was anyone that deserved to lead them was Azar and Caerllion didn’t think this way because he was in love. The Pureblood had done more to the Order than Tempest ever did.
A shiver ran through his body again when Azar's thumb touched the skin of his hand. He barely paid attention to what the Pureblood was saying, being once again too mesmerized by looking at his golden eyes so close. His gaze slightly changed to the other man's lips, moving while he talked.
In the brief moment that Azar stopped talking and decided to leave the Annfyn’s arms, Caerllion would close the tiny distance that still remained between them. It would barely be considered a kiss, being a simple touch between their lips. It would be like a teenager trying to have their first kiss. However, it was enough to make his cheeks get red when he moved his head away.
When Azar got out of his arms, Caerllion remained static, only looking at his face. He was prepared to face punishment and death for this sudden surge of courage. He didn’t want to die, that was certain. However, this close experience with the person that he loved was enough for him to not scream too much when agony inevitably rushed over him.
