How to describe a man like Ma'hal. Conniving? Vindictive? Somehow, those words dont really seem to measure up. To put it this way, Vahla is a very... Principled... Sith. He has his own rules and, warped as they may be, he sticks to them. By no means does this make him a good person, far from it. Ma'hal would sell you his mother if he thought he could get something good out of it. Rather, if he tells you something... You can be sure he isn't lying to you outright. He adheres to the policy that the best way to manipulate someone is with the truth. Maybe not the truth they want to hear, or the entire truth... But the one they Need at the time.
Within the Sith Order, Ma'hal prefers to turn his talents to more academic pursuits. Preferring to search dusty tombs and old holocrons for ancient secrets, or barring that try to come up with a few tricks himself. Because of this, he has very little respect for those sith who prefer more martial pursuits. A Contempt only surpassed by his feelings for the Jedi order. More than just hating them, he sees the Jedi as Silly Children, too busy being self righteous to realize just how foolish they are.

Ma'hal began his career as a sith much like any other. Discovered and brought in by the order at a tender age. Told to embrace his passion, to use it as his strength. That's the part that everyone knows.... Because all Sith go through it. The Pain. The Loneliness. The warped comradery of shared trials. The important story to tell is how he became a true Sith. Something to this day which he chalks up to his personal knack for manipulation.
The Short of it is that, during the course of his time as an Acolyte, Ma'hal acquired a great many favors. Some small. Some large. You see, he made a habit of doing favors of his own when it suited him. And how he loves having someone powerful in his debt... In any case. The story goes that in the waning months of his Acolyte-hood Ma'hal was given a task to decipher old Sith writings. Writings that he had no business being able to figure out. Writings whose only key of sorts was locked in a Sith's study. By calling in the favors he had accumulated and otherwise twisting the arms of his peers, Ma'hal managed to acquire a copy of the Codex to decipher the Writings. Sufficiently impressing those higher up and earning him his full title. Of course, the first thing he did was cut ties to the people who had helped him. After all, they had outlasted their usefulness to him. However he burned no bridges. Why throw away a tool that could someday be useful? Call him a Hoarder.

[/fancybox4]- Flexability: Due to his natural Vahla Biology (His skeletal structure is primarily thick cartilage rather than bone), Ma'hal is a natural contortionist. Capable of warping his body into all sorts of fantastic positions.
- Strong Mind: His natural talent for mental application of the force runs deep. Allowing him to commune with Animals on a basic level and force his way into the minds of the weak willed. However, both things require focus and preparation. It is not something he does lightly. Should he be forced to use these talents in the heat of combat, he has to rely on the brute force approach. Launching mental attacks to distract while he seeks another opening. This tactic is impractical at the best of times, however, and leaves him wide open to a counter attack.
- Telekinesis: The most basic of Force Powers, Ma'hal is capable of fine control with Telekinesis. However, he has always lacked the brute power to move over sized objects.
- Lightning: Ah yes, Lightning. One of the Sith's favorite toys. True to form, Ma'hal does enjoy a good shock now and then. However, the use of any form of Lightning is incredibly draining for him. As such, he prefers more subtle means to an end.
- Form VI: While he deplores having to resort to his Lightsaber in combat, Ma'hal is versed in the basics of Niman. Primarily, he uses the form to hold off an opponent long enough to create an opening with the force. The Lightsaber itself is a plain red blade, nothing unique as of yet.
- Stealth: Ma'hal is capable of disguising himself in the force, although not rendering himself completely undetectable. The trick will work on his contemporaries so long as they are not actively searching for him. However, someone more powerful in the force would most likely notice him.
- Knowledge: As he spent much of his Acolyte-hood (And all of his time as a Sith) with his nose buried in Holocrons, Ma'hal has a great deal of general knowledge about sith lore and History. As such, he can read most dialects of the Sith Language (At least those which have not been lost), along with being able to understand a great many galactic languages. What better way to defeat someone than by knowing them.
- Trances: His experience with Sith History and the Holocrons has given Ma'hal the basics he needs to perform a very rudimentary form of Battle Meditation. Employing his Mental Prowess on a wider scale to demoralize and distract his enemies while focusing and enraging his Allies. Doing so requires all of his focus however, and leaves him vulnerable to outside attacks should he not be guarded.
