Maiden Voyage of The Black Rose

Well this is pretty much a roleplay setting the scene for my character about how she purchased her fleet The Black Rose and used it to hunt down a spaceliner that was carrying a Jedi and killed it along with spaceliner.

So if you want to join just chuck your character in where you think it will fit.

Astrid sat at a small round table in one of the meeting rooms within her palatial estate on the planet of Bastion. She had in her company two representatives, one from SoroSuub Corporation and the other from Sienar Fleet Systems. They were all currently in the process of discussing Astrids small personal fleet she would be purchasing.

Astrid was in the process of explaining the aspects for the main space craft
"It has to some form of weaponary but needs to be inconspicuous so as to be able to slip into Alliance Territory without questioning" she told them "It must also have its own hangars big enough to house th rest of the fleet. I also like throwing parties so comfort and space is also a must and I think thats about it." she finished up

The SoroSuub rep pulled out a datapad and began scrolling through the various ships with those specs "Well i've got a few here but first let me ask you about the price range"

"Credits are of no concern in this matter, I am the Grand Moff of this star system and an Admiral too, my paycheck more than covers this" she stated pompously

"Well then there is only one craft I would recommend and that is the Personal Luxury Yacht 5000 series. It meets all your specs, it has two laser turrets, speed and excellent manouvarability, immaculate suites for 30 people, three hangars that will fit six small craft and being a Spaceliner it couldnt be anymore inconspicuous" explained the SoroSuub rep smartly "oh and the price is 500,000 credits" he added

"Do you have any pictures?" Astrid asked

"Oh of course, right here" explained the rep and laid out a holocron on the table that immediately displayed all the information, layouts and pictures of the PLY 5000 series.

"Well, I think you've hit the nail on the head with this one" Astrid excalimed "I want one waiting at my personal loading bay at the Bastion Spaceport within the two days" she demanded

"As you wish Miss Zendu, good day" and the SoroSuub rep left the room

Now it was just Astrid and the SFS rep

"Well, its your turn now" Astrid stated

"Yes of course" replied the man and he moved to the seat across from Astrid "Now you said you were looking for some small speedy fighters to accompany your main vessel" asked the rep

"That is correct, they will be positioned within the main vessels hangars untill deployed" Astrid told the man

"Well I think you need'nt look any further than the TIE fighters series, they are standard Imperial starfighters and come in a variety of models" explained the rep

"Well, I want the best model on offer, again I dont care about price" stated Astrid

"Then you will probably be looking at the TIE Defender model or TIE/D for short. It is the most advanced model in production and will set you back 300,000 credits a piece or 80,000 for used models" explained the rep

"I dont want used!" spat Astrid "Thats just poor taste and a sign of depleted funds both of which I do not have"

"New it is then" replied the rep quickly "Which will set you back 1,800,000 credits for six to fill your PLY 5000, are you sure you can afford that Miss Zendu?" questined the rep cautiously

"Of course I can afford that you fool!" she yelled "Look around you I basically live in a palace, have it billed to my Galaxy Super Spender Account and have the fighters stationed in my craft within the week"

"Of course Miss Zendu, pleasure doing business with you" responded the rep and he then left

Astrid was quite pleased with herself, she was going to have the most expensive personal fleet in the galaxy and the name The Black Rose would be known from one end to the other. Now she had to begin the plans for the attack on the Jedi.

Ara sat in the one of the cantinas in the undercity,dealing with a gruff-looking human."How much are we talking for this job?" Ara said.

"It depends if you actually get the jedi,doesn't it?"The human said.
"Is that really how this is gonna work,you give me the payment or I'll blast you through the wall."showing his blaster to the man.

"Fine,lets go with,hmmm..................,300,000 as starting payment."

"Make it 450,000,and I'll do it."

"Okay,450.Clean."

Ara nodded at the man,and stood to leave,slinging his long,duster coat on as he went for his ship,The Corellian Saint,and set his target to Corellia,having a drug deal about to go off.

Ara arrives in time to see the money being handed,until they spot him and a shootout begins.


A drug lord shot at Ara,as ara blew him away with his pistol,then takes his M5,shooting three drug dealers.Ten he shoots at the buyers,who shot back,one blowing a grenade his way,but in mid flight,Ara shoots it,blowing up two dealers.The buyers continue to shoot as Ara heads for another block of cement.Ara shoots four dealers and two buyers,and then throws a grenade,blowing up their cover.He then stands to shoot all of them as he collects the credits and heads to his ship,Calling Astrid with his comm.


"Hey Astrid,if we need anything else for the plan,let me know,I'll pick it up on my way back."Ara said,smiled to himself.

(OOC sorry TheTrodaire but can you please explain the connection between our characters? I see that someone is paying your character for something about the Jedi my characer is after but the person you described doesnt sound like my character so is it somone my character hired or? its just so i can mention your character in my post but its hard if I dont know how they know each other)

Astrid was sitting in her office working through mounds of paperwork when a voice came through her communicator

"Hey Astrid,if we need anything else for the plan,let me know,I'll pick it up on my way back."

It was Astrids old childhood friend Ara, they had known each other for many a years now. Ara was a Bounty Hunter and a good one at that, which is why Astrid had asked him to accompany her on her latest mission which would be to infiltrate a Spaceliner that was heading to Coruscant and kill a Jedi that was on board, as well as any Alliance big wigs.

Astrid picked up the communicator and spoke back

"Ah Ara I was just about to comm you about such a thing. Yes we will be needing some explosive charges to place throughout the ship once we are on board. That will be your job but we will discuss that later. Just send the bill to my account. That will be all"

Astrid finished and put the communicator back on her desk and no sooner was there a knock at the door

"Who's there?" called Astrid

"Message droid 394-AbH with a HoloMessage from Bastion Spaceport" came the reply

"Very well, enter" Astrid replied

The droid entered and walked up to the desk and placed a HoloMessage on the desk. A hologram of the Spaceports manager appeared and began speaking

"Dear Miss Zendu, I am pleased to announce that your Personal Luxury Yacht 5000 has just arrived and is waiting at your docking pad. We expect the TIE defenders within the week" the Hologram dissapeared and the droid picked up the HoloMessage

"Do you wish to respond?" asked the droid

"Yes I do" replied Astrid

"Very well" said the droid and placed an empty HoloMessage on the desk into which Astrid began speaking

"Thankyou for this message. I will be their shortly to view it"

The droid picked up the HoloMessage and left the room.

"Well I suppose I should go and see then" spoke scarlet aloud

She picked up her handbag and left for the Bastion Spaceport

Ara nodded at the comm,then went out,flying to the black market salesman,Porkaso,and picked up the charges."Charge these to my friend Astrid."Porkaso nodded,and did it."Done."He said as Ara walked back to his ship in the docking bay.

"Time to see Astrid...."Ara said,getting in the ship as he flew to Bastion Spaceport.

(Minutes later.)Ara arrives in the dock as he pays the fee and walks over,seeing the yacht that Astrid had ordered,he took his helmet off as he saw it,twirling his bluebolt in his hand."Thats a beauty."He said as the Dock workers put it in its position.

Ara goes in his ship,The Corellian Saint,And put his gear up,coming out in his casual clothes."I wonder how much this thing and the others cost all together."He said as Nymas,his smuggler rival."Been some time,Ara,too long."Nymas said,flipping his pistol.

"Nymas,get out of here,or I'll blast you through a hole."Ara said,glaring at him.

Nymas just smiled,as he lifted the gun to Ara's head."No,you wont."He said,almost pulling the trigger before Ara punched him and slammed him on the ground.

Astrid arrived at the Bastion Spaceport just in time to see them putting her yacht into position. A few moments later she spotted Aras ship The Corellian Saint and Ara who was just outside it smacking down someone else.

"Just like Ara" she thought to herself as she walked over

"Well, well, well Ara. What have we here?" she asked smiling down upon the cretin that lay on the ground "Thats quite a punch you've got there but best leave it lest you alert the gaurds"

"As for you" she began now speaking to the this Nymas character "You have looking down upon you the Grand Moff of the Bastion System on top of an Admiral of the Imperial Fleet. I think your best decision would be to walk away and never let me see you harrassing this man again. Do I make myself clear?" she finished and turned to Ara

"Come Ara, let us feast our eyes upon my new beauty and take a look inside" she spoke

Ara nodded,as Nymas jogged off,muttering about Humans and Vurk."Okay,lets go.I've been itching for this ever since you had the idea."Ara said smiling.He then walked towards the ship,before running go his own to shut it off and lock it.


He then headed back toward the yacht,opening it and walking in."Woah,this is,big."He said examining it."I heard these things come with whirlpool tubs,great for my Species,and lace and silk beds."Its like Naboo in a ship!Ara exclaimed,happy about the ship."Oh yeah,I have the charges in my ship,I can get them if you want me to."Ara said,pointing at the entrance of the Yacht.

"Haha, yes it is isnt it!" Astrid laughed at Aras remark "Top of the line, no finer yacht in the galaxy. Set me back around 500,000 cred but with titles like mine cost is of no concern. I beleive the TIE defenders are arriving tomorrow night so we should be able to start making preperations tomorrow morning. I have also invited a few officials, who hold the same view of the Jedi, to join us.
As for those charges you may bring them over here and pass them on the deck hands although for peice of mind i'd like you to observe their loading if you will please.
When your done here join me at my estate and we will discuss the plan in greater detail. Ta ta for now daling" Astrid finished her explanations and returned to her Hover-Limo which sped her back to Zendu Estate.

When she arrived Astrid retired to office but not before instructing her servants to prepare dinner for two.

Ara nodded as she sped off,and unloaded the charges from The Corellian Saint,and handed them to the deck hands,watching as they put them into the yacht."Be careful with those,too.If you happen to drop it,dispose of it,or it will explode earlier than expected."Ara said,as he saw Nymas talking to a few smugglers,who looked at him smugly,then walked away.

(Minutes later....)Ara grabs his pistols,and gets in his formal attire,puts it on,as he gets in a taxi,arriving at Astrids Estate in a few minutes.As Ara gets out,he walks towards the doorsteps as he looks at the guards about as he looks at his two oversized pistols.

Astrid had just finished changing into a more formal attire when a message came through the intercom

"Miss Zendu, your guest has arrived"

"Oh that will Ara" she exclaimed to herself and she descended to the ground floor and walked to door, opening it.

"Ara darling, I was half beginning to think you were backing out on me" she teased "But do follow me into the dining room, dinner is about to be served and we can discuss the plan in detail"

Astrid led Ara into the dining room which was as immaculate as the rest of the house. They took their seats as the servants plated up various delacacies in front of them

"Bon Appetit" Astrid exclaimed smiling at Ara and she began graciously eating her meal

After a mouth full she began speaking again "So, basically the plan is this. Once The Black Rose is loaded, TIE defenders and all, we will set course for the Coruscant System. However, before we reach it we shall have sited our target, a C-3 Passenger Liner allegedly carrying a Jedi among other Alliance Officials, so you see it wouldn't be a great loss, to the empire, if this ship just happened to..dissapear. Once sited we will send out a distress signal to the ship luring them to us, we will tell them we have some sort of malfunction and request to board their ship. Once on board it will be up to you to place the charges, undetected, whilst I search for the Jedi. When I find him I will comm you and you will send a message back to The Black Rose telling them to dispatch the TIE defenders to keep the ship within our radius and send over the soldiers we will be bringing. When they are alerted to our allegience and intentions I will take on the Jedi whilst you and the soldiers attend to the various riff-raff on board, kill untill the final count down for the charges begins and then we will retreat. Oh I should also add we will have a technician jamming the communications of the C-3 Liner so they will not be able to contact anyone, it will also cause any escape pods to malfunction preventing escape. So I think I have covered all the bases, what do you think?"

Ara nodded while he ate,eating and swallowing before he talked.


"Thats good,do we have men and women to pilot the defenders?If not,are they robotically controlled?"Ara said,drinking a glass of wine.


"And, if you could, get me a 'Senator's' suit,which would allow me to blend in as the Senator of Sembla.......nobody would think I'm a threat if you did that.And,how are you going to fight a jedi?Oh, yeah, yeah, Grand Moff."Ara said as he ate a delicate piece of meat."I tell you, I should've been a Moff, because this is better than what I usually get, screw Bounty Hunters....."Ara said as he gleefully ate.

Astrid continued eating and after swallowing she began her reply

"No need to worry about that, I have requested pilots from the Academy to man the defenders, I had considered robotically controlled TIE models however that would have required another ship to act as a transponder which would just catch to much attention. They will meet us at the spaceport tomorrow to test out the defenders. As for he Senators suit I will deal with that right now" and she picked up a bell and jingled it, almost immediately a servant appeared "Go purchase a Senators suit from the Imperial Palace please, tell them I sent you and to charge it to my account" and with that the servant left to run the errand

"There, thats that taken care of, should be back later tonight. As for th Jedi, I will handle it to the best of my ability, it will be challenging not being force sensitive however if all else fails we shall flee and the Jedi will perish in the impending explosion. Haha trust me Ara darling I think to much power wouldn't be good for you, no offence of course. But perhaps you would consider leaving your bounty hunter past behind and joining me here, all I would have to do is pull a few strings, slip in a few credits on the side and you would become my advisor as it were. I think you would find the pay to be somewhat more entising, how does 10,000 credits a week sound?"

Ara looked down at his plate,nodding a bit."Yeah........maybe.........no sure!"Ara said as he imagined himself that way.

"It'd be just like whenwe were children, playing as Jedi, except now were hunting them."Ara said,looking at his pistols.

"So,I will take you're offer and join you as advisor of Grand Moff Astrid Zendu!"He said as he pulled out a small bottle,amber colored liquid that gave off a sweet smell.

"Whyrens Reserve."He said."I have to get a bottle every week."Its the most expensive whiskey, from Corellia."Ara said as he popped the cork off of it and drank."I would like a bottle of this from a servant then."He said, thinking about being advisor to his chilhood friend.

"Hahaha yes it would my friend, yes it would. But as i've grown older and watched the Jedi around me i've developed a deep sense of hatred which simply put would be, if I cant have the force then no one can" She finished snobbishly "Lovely I knew even you would'nt be able to resist my offer and so I will have the appropriate papers filled out tomorrow and sent to the Palace stating that you are now my advisor, if simply for the reason that you can enjoy the life I live. As for that whiskey I will have the servants search the stock rooms and will also have a few cases ordered in. Now if your finished with your meal I shall show you to your room, that is if you wish to stay of course"

Ara nodded,putting the half emptied bottle of whiskey in his jacket,as he gets up and wipes his face."I don't think the Empire has ever had any Vurk as, well, anything really."He said as he looked at the beautiffuly engraved wood table."And that whiskey......Cant believe it.I get cases of it, I used to only be able to get one a month, I'd have to enjoy the flavor and aroma for as long as I can."

"Yes, it is true we don't take a liking to non-human species but if they are all for our cause and don't stir any trouble I should think it would be fine. Although I would that need'nt be a problem with you. Now let me show you to your room"

Astrid led Ara up the grand staircase and down numerous hallways untill they came to a large set of double doors. She opened them and they stepped inside.

The inside of the room was immaculate. A large four poster bed dominated a fair portion of the room but there was enough left for a small lounge area and built in robes.

"Well I hope its to your liking. You'll find its detailed to the highest of standards. Now if you need anything dont hesitate call one of the servants, simply ring the intercom and they'll come running, and if you need me I shall be in my room on the top floor. We'll need, unfortunately, to make an early start tomorrow to start prepping. I'll have the servants call you for breakfast, dont be late you know I dont like waiting. Good night" and with that Astrid left to retire to her bedroom on the top floor leaving Ara to his own devices.
