Zak was relieved to hear Dimetri's voice over the commlink, the fact the young man was safe caused a relieved smile to appear on Zak's lips. While his focus was entirely on the commlink, Luci would call to him, drawing the Knight's attention away from anything else the Mirialan Padawan was saying and onto her. Luci had struck a pose similar to the one he had earlier, it caused the broad smile Zak so commonly wore to re-emerge on his face before it too broke into a small fit of laughter.
The Padawan's training saber flooded the room with a dull purple glow, illuminating the room they were in and some of the hallway beyond. Luci would notice their previous unnoticed visitor before Zak did and his reaction was almost quick enough to reach out and grasp Luci has she made to chase the tiny crystalline fox but not quite quick enough. Instead, when Zak's hand shot out to grasp the young Padawan, it closed on nothingness instead of gripping her shoulder like he has hoped. Zak grimaced as the Padawan disappeared into the hall beyond, he shook his head in disbelief for a moment before dashing out to try and catch the Padawan. He just hoped that she would not find herself in any real trouble before he could get to her.
"Luci!" Zak called as he rounded the corner. "Slow down! We don't know what el-" Zaks words were cut short and his warning was punctuated by a roar that echoed down the hallway.
The Togruta Knight redoubled on his pursuit, he hoped beyond hope that he could reach Luci before whatever else was with them did. A thought process that was accented by a second roar, one that had grown closer than the initial one did. Anxiety gripped the Knight, for a moment he thought of utilizing the Force to toss Luci from her feet and onto the ground, it was an instinct that was quickly dismissed.
"Luci! Stop NOW!" He bellowed out, in an authoritative tone of voice the Knight seldom used.
