Only his closest allies know of him; The old hermit who had wasted away his middle age sitting in the Jedi archives. The old hermit who had been there when Illum fell to the Sith. The old hermit who had seen first hand the destructive powers of the force, how it can corrupt, and how it can cleanse. He could no longer wield a sword without feeling grief; he is not who he once was.
While spending his time wasting away in his home, filled with books, and covered with dust, he reminisced on his past. How he was raised on Dantooine. This is where he found his love for knowledge; The books his mother had passed down to him, the knowledge that he had gained from his father, and the wisdom he gained from his master.
He had trusted the jedi order with his life, he dedicated all of his time to becoming a wise and just wielder of the light side energies. He had no need to be anything more than a knight with an arsenal of books at his disposal. When Illum had fell, he was in the atmosphere above, when their own grandmaster had forsaken them.
Manjusri felt conflicted. The master he had looked up to his whole life, who had taught him the wonderful ways of the jedi, had been so easily tainted with his own lust for the dark side. Manjusri had from that day on vowed to never be swayed by the dark side of the force.
Being a consular, Manjusri has full knowledge of most politics in the galaxy, and firmly thinks that though the jedi are good, they have created an immense amount of pain and war to the worlds of many species. He has dedicated his life to reversing the evil that he feels such sorrow for being a part of. -
Manjusri is an old man in his middle sixties. Donning a traditional jedi robe, he wields a emerald green lightsaber, and a small Stinger stun blaster, concealed inside of his cowl.
He uses the sixth form of lightsaber combat, The way of the Rancor. Spending his younger age learning to use a lightsaber to full effectiveness, he was very deadly in one on one combat. In his older age, he has lost most of the physicality that made him the once great lightsaber duelist, but he still is very useful on the battle field.

Cold. Calculating. Fair. A few words can almost perfectly sum up Manjusri. He doesn't have many friends, and follows the Jedi code to a fault. His inability to be trusting of anyone hinders his ability, the only thing he can trust is hard facts and knowledge, and he will leave nothing up to chance. He believes the force dictates everyone's actions, and thinks that with enough belief in the force, anything can be possible.
Recently, after the betrayal of the jedi grand master, Manjusri has felt conflicted. To believe that the jedi is all righteous, just to have your own leader turn on you is still a shock to many in the order, the most of all Manjusri. He no longer feels many attatchments to other people in the order, and has spent the last year in the jedi archives alone, and learning everything there is to know about the force. -
