DESCRIPTION​

Another failed contract design by Rendili Stardrive which shares certain design features with the Hawk Bat (including the main engines and cockpit module), the Manta Bomber has not been as much of a commercial success since it hit the market. While it is heavily armed and features substantial armor plating for a ship its size, the added weight makes the craft slow and sluggish to maneuver even for a bomber, despite its four engine design. This makes it easy pickings for proper fighter screens, and necessitates that it be deployed in conjunction with escorts- a costly prospect for many potential consumers.
