DESCRIPTION​

The Marauder, much like the smaller Thunderslug, was one of the last pulse wave rifles to see regular mass production as blaster technology matured into mainstream use. Produced by Rimfire Munitions, the Marauderholds true to Rimfire Munitions standards- Unremarkable products, decent quality, reasonable prices. Like all pulse wave weapons it packs a powerful punch at close range, but the bolts quickly lose cohesion and power. That close range damage and the molecular level destruction that comes with it means that the weapon is universally banned in civilized systems in favor of more humane weapons. The rifle comes stock with iron sights, but is commonly fitted with simple scopes and rangefinders

Pulse Wave Blasters like this one, while on the verge of being antiquated, are still a common sight in seedier parts of the galaxy. Their destructive power means they are banned in much of the core, but they are a favorite among questionable bounty hunters, pirates, and others in the Rim unconcerned with societies laws.
