BIOGRAPHY

Marcus Octavius Varus was born to a poor income mining family who had a mediocre upbringing. Majority of Marcus's life was that of survival to eat and put food on the table. His father worked in the Mines and his mother a stay at home wife trying to raise themselves above poverty. It was when Marcus was old enough to join the Guard for service that he left the life of a miner and took his journey on becoming a Warrior. A roof over your head(sometimes) and a wage of service to be promised was all that was needed to drive young Marcus out of his home and serve the house of Juvexia.

Though Marcus wasn't born a savage man, his time in service quickly changed that. War changes people and Marcus soon seen the ferocity of war when he fought under the houses banner against rebels and raiders who sought to take the mines from the family. At the age of 16 he killed his first person. A young boy nearly his age when Marcus ran against him in the battlefield and bringing a dagger to the boys throat. This act forever setting the memories of war in his mind as he continued to push himself. Every battle, every death, every friend lost, every scream, the smells of burning flesh and decayed bodies on the field tormenting his mind in his sleep. Now in his mid-to-late twenties he solidified himself on the field as a animal and earned the respect of his piers.

Marcus earned himself a spot in the Queens guard. Though he is not the head of it but merely one of few who are hand picked for this duty. Feared but respected by his companions he was given the nick name "The Bringer Of Mors". Marcus now stands with the guard and will do whatever it is needed to protect his family as the house of Juvexia and war is all he ever known.

Personality
Marcus is pretty self reserved. He is quiet but when he speaks its usually in a serious not messing around tone. His quietness is what intimidates most who don't know him. Not the scars on his face or his brood look. His anger is that of a man with everything to loose when he is mad but his asshole demeanor outside of that is what makes people stay clear of him. He cares only to protect the Queen and to drink his whiskey.

Skills

Marcus is very skilled in hand to hand combat. Being took into Military Service at a young age and fought his first battle at 16, Marcus is very comfortable with a blade. Though initial training helped him some what in how to be a soldier it was only until he fought on the battlefield that gave him the real experience of combat. Though he is not an avid strategist, he knows well enough from combat to handle pressured situations and react quickly with a warriors thought process.
