NAME: Marcus Veraxis
FACTION: The Exchange
RANK: Scoundrel
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 29
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 6"1
WEIGHT: 189lbs
EYES: Hazel
HAIR: Black, usually kept short
SKIN: Caucasian
CREDITS: Enough to get by (500-600 Creds)
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Scar down his left forearm from just below his shoulder from a fight long forgotten. Chipped front tooth.
FORCE SENSITIVE: No.

STRENGTH: 6/10. Marcus can hold his own in a fight, but not for long. Prefers to rely on his speed and smile to get him out of scrapes.
DEXTERITY: 7/10. Years of fingers darting over starship controls and datapads have quickened his reactions to above average.
CONSTITUTION: 5/10. He can take a few punches, but as with strength, prefers to rely on his speed to avoid blows.
INTELLIGENCE: 4/10. Not overly "Book Smart" or the like, Marcus generally prefers to rely on his datapad for most things.
WISDOM: 6/10. Years travelling the galaxy has him wiser, but he is by far no sage handing out words of wisdom.
CHARISMA: 8/10. With a crooked smile and a glint in his eye, he can generally pull people around to his point of view. Relying on his charm to get him out of the odd docking fee or something more sinister.

PERSONALITY:
Born and raised in the seedier parts of the galaxy, Marcus has always had to rely on his wits to scrape a living. Sarcasm is his main source of enjoyment, though he has been known to push it too far at points earning him his fair share of canteen bust-ups and back alley brawls. Stubborn as they come, he will rarely give up once he sets his mind to a task. The hard part is however setting his mind to said task, as he has seen enough of the galaxy to not want for honour or fame and prefers to be paid in cold hard creds, or something that will put him ahead of others of his kinds.
With a general up-beat outlook, nothing is too overwhelming to break his spirit, least not that he has encountered so far. While preferring his own company most of the time, he will always look for a friend if the job proves too much, at the right price of course. While not overly selfish, he will always look out for himself first, however he is a great believer in everyone getting their fair share if they pull their weight.

BIOGRAPHY:
Marcus was brought up in the shadier places of the galaxy. His father travelled with the work, jumping between planets when he had scraped enough together for the transport fee. A salvager by trade, this often took longer than planned however they rarely stayed in one place for longer than 1 standard year. Any form of schooling was picked up in dusty canteen bars and oily starports. His father imparted what knowledge he could at every opportunity, but it could never match actual schools. Despite this, Marcus never felt that he needed such.

While on a salvage operation in the Outer Rim, a large transport ship that had been scuttled and was floating uselessly in space, his father met a gruesome end. The pirates had hit hard and fast, leaving few survivors and even fewer remains to be claimed. No matter how hard he searched, Marcus could find little about the pirates that had hit them, and liked to believe they met such a fate at the hands of someone far more powerful. That said, he will still up and jump to a far flung system if he gets information about them. In the early years, the information had come thick and fast and he spent little time thinking of his own needs. However, after a few years the information had dried up, and he found himself floating in space with little direction.

Keeper of his fathers scrapping knowledge, he thought he would put it to use. He sold what little he had, enough to buy passage to Tatooine and work in the ship yards there for sometime. He worked for traders and smugglers, pirates and merchants alike. No job was too little, or too big as he worked his way up in the world. With enough to buy his own ship, he quickly skipped town in search for his own work, however not before running up some rather large loan and gambling debts from the nastier sorts. Turning Tatooine to his rear, he jumped and never looked back.

Working for sometime as a courier, he quickly learned the quicker routes through systems and found that more money could be made should the cargo be a little more ... difficult to get past security. Sliding down a slippery slope, he quickly became a runner on the opposite side of the law. He always managed to be one step ahead, slipping the cargo where it need be going, beside a rather sticky situation involving a Twei'lek, a Blaster and an angry Wookie. His only refusal of work was when it was sentient, he was a smuggler not a slaver and found living cargo too much hassle than worth.

SKILLS:
A decent knack for slicing has set his ahead in some deals, however his true skills lie with salvaging and smuggling. A decent shot with a blaster, and preferring to carry at least two at any given opportunity. A good pilot, he makes his own way, though is not the best. Flying smaller vessels in his younger days gave him good reactions.

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Good eye for a deal, and can scrap anything with engines, legs or wheels. He is rather trusting, which can often lead to sticky situations. A keen eye for canteens and their occupants, his mouth can often get him into trouble.

GEAR:
A pair of thick, black boots up to below his knees. Black cargo pants, and a Flak jacket. He often wears a thick collared over-coat with a leather exterior. His datapad is generally tucked into his back pocket, and a Blaster Carbine slung on his back. Nothing fancy, though he has extended the stock for steadier aim, though this removed the "folding" function. He straps his pistol to his side, fully loaded and within easy reach.
If the situation calls for it, Marcus keeps his trusty old Blaster Rifle stowed away on his ship, and can switch it for his Carbine. With a simple 2x Optic on top, it provides him with a bit longer range that his favoured Carbine.

SHIP:
YG-300-class light freighter, Witchcraft. Modified to fit more storage, dropping some of the lesser used compartments. Can still fit 2 passengers comfortably. Fixed-blasters slaved to pilots controls, while twin-linked turret still requires a gunner.

These are the floor plans for the YG-300, complete with modifications. Mainly for my personal use, plus I enjoyed making them.
