Ronan's master threw back his head and laughed, which surprised Ronan. "Ah, so you do care for him," he said, turning to Ronan. "So I was wrong, she is not manipulating you. Too bad for her, since you are more clever. Foolish girl," he said, turning back to Hailee with a nasty grin.

Was there any purpose in denying it? He would sense it either way, sk there was no need for a discussion there. She still breathed heavily, still being caught inside his invisible, tight grip. But she just learned another important detail, which was, until now, not fully confirmed: So it was his plan all along to seduce her. Now she did look at him, at least for a second, glaring at him in pure disappointment, before she turned back to his master. "I...will...kill you" she replied dryly, as cool as possible, with full confidence. It still seemed as though he would neither kill her nor let her go, so she could still try to assassinate him any time soon.

Ronan was angry with his master for telling her that; when it wasn't true. When she looked at him with disappointment his heart broke and he gathered the pieces to use as weapons later.

"You will certainly dry, child," his master said to Hailee. With that he dropped her from his Force grip. She was about six feet above the ground already and wasn't expecting this so the fall may hurt her.

Ronan picked up a fresh shard of his heart.

She still hang mid-air, feistyly glaring at him, when he suddenly made a clearly unexpected move. He released her. And with that she just dropped to the ground, fully unprepared. She couldn't even try to role away in order to deflect the impact, neither did she manage to land properly in any way. She just hit the ground hard, while a wave of immense pain was flowing through her limbs, so strongly that her body went numb for a moment. She couldn't assess the damage yet, as every single bone felt numb for a moment. Shakingly, she just lay on the ground, her gaze directed a Ronan, from whom she knew that he could have stopped her fall. All she could feel was betrayal and disappointment.

When Hailee looked up at him from her position on the floor, he had to pull his gaze away. The disappointment emanating from her hurt more than any beating his master could give him. Damn it, why was he still here? Why was he still doing this? What was wrong with him?

His master stood up from his throne, and walked down to where Hailee lay motionless. "I can feel your anger. Use it," he said. "You want to kill me. I want you to kill me," he hissed, his voice raspy and malicious.

There was a part of Ronan that really did want Hailee to kill his master at that moment. He turned back to her, trying to meet her gaze, trying to convey his conflict and pain.

Slowly, the feelings came creeping back. She could feel the pain radiating from her left side, seemingly from her ribcage. In addition to that, her left leg hurt, from hip to foot. She couldn't feel whether anything was broken, but it all felt a little twisted. She lifted her head slightly which just sent a fresh wave of pain through her system while she shifted her gaze back to the master. Just as he began to spoke, she could literally feel the rage burning inside her, this desperate drive for revenge. She wanted this master dead, regardless of the costs. He couldn't be left alive for all that he did to her, to Ronan and to possible further victims. Her breathing was still fast and heavy and she felt an undeniable heat findings its way up to the surface. The cold left her body. But Ronan still stood there, doing nothing. Through the corner of her eye, she could see him directing his gaze back to her, but it didn't matter anyway, since all her attention was focused on that ruthless bastard in front of her. She knew what he was doing and she knew that she had to avoid loosing control, but it slowly became impossible not to. She had to hold onto the light, even if it was just this dim, faint sensation deeply buried inside her. The conflicted feelings deteriorated, and so her impulses took over. She opened her hand, stretching out her right arm as far as she could, using her last bits of strength to summon a lightsaber. Ronan's lightsaber. Not knowing whether it would listen to her call through the Force. She couldn't swallow her anger. She couldn't swallow the pain. She couldn't swallow the fire inside her.

Ronan felt immense power emanating from Hailee. He picked up more pieces of his heart when she wouldn't meet his eyes. Like a coward, he stood there, staring straight ahead. He felt a tug on his belt and suddenly his lightsaber zoomed into her hand and turned on, the crimson blade illuminating her face. In that moment, she looked consumed by her rage. Panic set in and Ronan tried to figure out something, anything he could do to prevent her from doing this; yes he had wanted her to accept her rage but this was suicidal.

Knowing what he was about to do would only make her hate him more, he used his own Force to shove her out of the way right as his master prepared to throw her backwards with the Force. She managed to escape his master's aim but she ended up skidding hard on her side on the rough stone floor.

Hailee literally felt herself being consumed by her rage and my her emotions in general. She knew this was bad, she knew this was wrong, but she thought that she could do damage control afterwards. Right now she needed all the strength she could summon and Ronan was right- the anger did help her. She was still on the ground, but as the lightsaber illuminated in her hand, she thought she was actually going to get through with it. She felt truly powerful, more powerful than she had ever thought before and so she tried to push herself up, knowing that this would cause immense pain but she actually thought she could take it. However, before she could even lift her torso, she saw the master aim for her, but before it could reach her, a Force Push hit her right from the side, straight out of Ronan's direction. First he didn't do anything and now he dared to intervene?! While she was trying to attack his master?! So he was still on his side after all. Now it was just obvious. There was just no uncertainty left anymore. She shot him a deadly glare, realizing that everything that had been build up between them was a lie. Internally, she hated herself for being so naive. She cursed herself for every single emotion she had developed since their flight to Moraband. She was engaged. Her wrath was directed at herself, the master and Ronan. But right now, there were more pressing matters. Ronan's intervention had outraged the master and he was now shifting his full attention onto him. And that was her chance. She tried to shut of every emotion while getting up and running towards the exit. She only had this one chance to leave it all behind. It was now or never. Hope was not lost yet. She ran, while feeling an immense pain She had never felt before. She was severely limping, every bone seemed to ache and every muscles was seemingly sore. But she didn't think about stopping. She just ran, his lightsaber still in her hands, hoping that she would somehow manage to get away, even if it seemed almost impossible in her state.

Ronan focused his attention on his master as his master did the same, hoping Hailee would make it out okay. He knew from her point of view it looked like he was being especially cruel but his master knew better. Unleashing a scream of fury, his master lashed out with the Force, and Ronan threw up his own wall using the Force. Despite this wall, he still moved backwards. Ronan squeezed his eyes shut and gritted his teeth and pictured Hailee laying in pain. With a resurgance of power, he threw his master's Force energy back at him, knocking him over the back of his throne. Ronan could feel through the Force his master's sudden disappearance, almost as if there was something sucked out of the Force. Ronan knew his master was not dead, merely unconscious. He barely took a moment to revel in his unusual victory before turning to the rest of the temple. Hailee was nowhere to be seen, and, he soon realized, neither was his light saber.

With gritted teeth she ran on until she had finally reached the outside again. She could barely breath, as the pain was so immense, the air incredibly hot and dry and her torso still felt somewhat compressed. Still, she pressed on as fast as she could. It was the sheer will to survive that drove her further. She needed to get out of here, no matter what. She saw his ship, but assumed that it was locked as always and so she went past it, just straight on until she would find any help on this desolate, forsaken planet.

Ronan turned back around and walked towards his master around the back of the throne. He stared down at his unconscious form. In this state, he looked like a regular, old, frail man. Hatred unlike anything else flooded Ronan. He bent over and picked up his master's lightsaber from under his cloak, and turned it on. He then proceeded to carry out the fantasy he had had a couple days ago- hacking his master's body to pieces.

While she ran, she was too concentrated on not fading from all the pain that she had neglected the rest. However, suddenly she stopped as she was shaken from the inside. Something was happening. She could feel them fighting. Their angry presence in the Force was undeniable. A new level of wrath was seemingly unleashed while two beasts collided. Why were they fighting? Ronan was probably getting punished for interfering, she assumed, but right now she couldn't care less. It still broke her heart, but she forced herself to go on. She had to get of this planet and leave all that terror behind. She winced and cried, clearly forcing her body over the edge, but she just knew that if she couldn't get off Moraband right now, it would be her end. And so she ran and ran until her body couldn't do it anymore. She landed flat on the ground, her vision growing blurry. Something was moving in front of her and she prayed that it was solely her imagination.

Ronan stood over his master's body, blood splattered on the floor and all over Ronan's clothes and face. His master's blood tasted foul. He spit on the ground which was covered with bits of flesh, bone, tissue, and brain. It was strange, seeing his master like this- powerless and normal. Despite his power, he was still just blood, skin, and bone. A minute or an hour passed, and Ronan finally gathered himself enough to stumble backwards, before he ran out of the temple. Or ran as much as he could with bruised bones and a bruised heart.

He made it out of the temple in time to see a cargo ship take off. He tripped to a halt, watching it as it exited the atmosphere. Hailee was on that ship. He didn't know how she had gotten on in her condition, but she had.

It had been his plan for her to get off Moraband, so why was he sad? He was so, so sad, and maybe he should just lay down and rest. If he just closed his eyes and went to sleep he wouldn't feel this tearing, searing pain in his chest. If he hadn't still been breathing, he would've sworn someone was ripping his heart clean out of his chest. He would just rest his eyes for a little while...
