Mavrak Phel is a small, short man with a rather slender build. His skin is purple with white tattoos along his face. PERSONALITY
[fancybox2]Mavrak Phel is, through and through, a psychopath. He is also a hedonist, a solipsist, and, in some regards, a sadist. He is greedy and only cares about his own wealth and status and has almost no empathy for others. To expand on his hedonism, he believes in the doctrine of libertism (or extreme freedom). He does not care about morality, believing it to be a false concept.

Phel is also very intelligent, and expresses it well through his articulation. While he can be very erratic and eccentric in his actions and do things on whim, he is a logical and pragmatic thinker. He loves to prove how smart he is and outwit his opponents. In that regard, he is extremely arrogant. He could also be considered a coward, as he prefers to pit himself against opponents he knows he can beat and will flee if he can. He is not above deceiving or manipulating to get what he wants.

He has a particular fondness for the finer things, such as lavish clothing, rare foods, and exotic beast pets. This is primarily because, as a slave, he had very little. His appreciation of exotic animals was fostered primarily due to his exposure to Dathomir.

BIOGRAPHY
[fancybox2]Mavrak Phel was born on a space station in the Outer Rim. A second generation slave, Phel was separated from his mother by slavers and sent to Kor Usilic where he was sold relatively cheap to the crime lord Megru. He served the Gammorean as a custodian from the rather early age of four up until he was ten. During this time, he began his career in spirit as a mischief maker. In a series of escapades he referred to as 'pranks', Phel went out of his way to sabotage the Gammorean (who he referred to as 'Piggie', though never to his face). This included sabotaging rifles, slicking floors, and, on one occasion, accidentally poisoning a guest. He was never caught, and attributed his luck to 'outsmarting the pig in his pen'.

Though he didn't realize it at the time, Phel's latter action had far-reaching consequences for Megru. The guest was the son of a Czerka arms dealer. Believing Megru responsible, the vengeful father sent bounty hunters to avenge his son's death. The hunters raided Megru's palace, but failed to kill him as he fled. The leader of the hunters ordered the execution of the survivors of the raid--soldiers and slaves alike--though a Mandalorian member of the party named Achilles Kelborn was allowed to take Mavrak Phel as his own.

However, Kelborn was cold and rough, primarily brought on by drinking. When he didn't use Phel as a 'second-rate flight attendant', as Phel called it, he tried to make the young Togruta indulge in Mandalorian culture. On one occasion, he even forced the young man to execute a prisoner. He always grew violently frustrated when Phel failed to live up to his expectations. Of course, it wasn't all gloom and doom for Phel. He had learned to use a blaster and, when free from Kelborn's interruptions, taught himself to read.

Three years later, Kelborn and Phel found themselves captured by a Dathomir slaver transport. The witches of Dathomir took them prisoner and intended to sell them as slaves, but one Nightsister named Rowan noticed Phel's Force sensitivity and offered him freedom if he shot Achilles. Achilles was puzzled when Mavrak walked in with the witch unchained, but was shocked when Phel raised the blaster and ruthlessly shot him.

Despite Phel's cooperation, though, the Nightsister went back on her word and took him to Dathomir where she began to train him. Gifting him a pike, Rowan taught him how to wield it effectively. She did not teach him how to use the Force, as the Nightsisters' way of using the Force was different from the traditional Sith and Jedi methods. However, Mavrak did know the Force to some extent, being able to slightly move object telekinetically in the past, though only by centimeters. Because of the Dark Side's natural presence on Dathomir, Mavrak was able to immerse himself to the point where he could harness a rudimentary form of telekinesis.

The witch put him to the test through a variety of trials, such fighting Nightbrothers, braving the wilderness and even facing off against dangerous beasts. However, this proved all vain as the Nightbrothers discovered Mavrak's existence. They quickly noticed Mavrak's growing prowess in the Force and grew jealous. Three warriors confronted the Togruta and easily bested him, though granted him mercy on the condition that he leave the planet forever. Mavrak was left with no other choice.

Still, it wasn't totally a waste. Mavrak used his skills learned to become a bounty hunter in his own right, using Achilles's connections to gain employment with contractors. But Mavrak had greater ambitions. As luck would have it, he discovered the crippled remains of Megru's syndicate. Vying for revenge and status, Phel accepted a contract to kill Megru and payed the Gammorean a visit.

There was sparse resistance, though what little there was had been easily eliminated by Mavrak as he entered the stronghold. Phel confronted Megru, mockingly calling him by his petname and telling him that his end was near. Calling Phel's bluff, the well-built Gammorean took out his twin axes and the two dueled. Megru fought well but his strength was no match for Mavrak's speed. Phel swept Megru off his feet and to the ground, holding the blade of the pike to his neck as he callously mocked him before gutting him.

The credits were good, but the victory was so much more to Mavrak. He was finally free. Claiming what Megru's stronghold and what little remained of his syndicate, Mavrak shed his identity as a bounty hunter and took on a new chapter as a crime lord.

ATTRIBUTES

[fancybox2]
Strength: 3/10 - Because of his build, Phel is not build for brute force.

Dexterity: 7/10 - Phel is rather quick and light on his feet if needed.

Constitution: 9/10 - Though he prefers a lavish lifestyle, Phel is in near-peak physical condition.

Intelligence: 9/10 - Phel is naturally brilliant, and he makes sure you know it.

Endurance: 4/10 - While he is hardly a weakling, Phel will collapse to overwhelming pressure.

Charisma: 8/10 - Another natural gift of Phel is his charisma; he has the forked tongue of a snake and can make irrational things sound rational.

RELATIONSHIPS

[fancybox2]
Megru - Mavrak hated Megru even as a child for keeping him enslaved. He went out of his way to cause trouble for him and enjoyed making a fool out of him.

Achilles Kelborn - Though Kelborn rescued Mavrak from slavery, Mavrak saw him as no better than Megru and perhaps even had a more personal hatred caused by such a direct relationship. He had no qualms about betraying him.
latest

Mother Rowan - Phel immediately saw Rowan as a gentle, motherly figure, being the only person he ever followed obediently. Because of the knowledge she offered, he became a powerful warrior, and he hoped to learn how to utilize the Force through Nightsister magic, but was banished before he could learn anything of that nature. When the Nightbrothers attacked him, he was told that Mother Rowan had sent them, leaving Mavrak feeling betrayed and angered.
