Mazlen Tanark was a male Human Jedi Padawan who lived during the Force Eternal era. He was a working-class kid whose quick wits and nifty slicing skills got him involved with the criminal elements on the lower levels of Coruscant. Mazlen was eventually discovered to be Force-sensitive in his early teens by a member of the Jedi Order, who had apprehended him during a gig. This Jedi offered to bring Mazlen with him to Brighthome to be inducted into the Order. Faced with a life of crime as the most likely alternative, Mazlen packed up, said his goodbyes, and fled Coruscant for a brighter future.

Personality & Abilities
Mazlen’s first couple of years as an Initiate of the Jedi Order taught him some sense of discipline and reliability which he had been sorely lacking prior to his induction. However, even the routine of Order life and the relative strictness of its training regimen and lifestyle couldn’t stamp out his penchant for skulduggery and his streetwise demeanour – though he directs this energy towards less criminal pursuits than he used to back home on Coruscant. Mazlen still likes to fool around with computers and hone his slicing skills. None of his fellow Order members’ personal devices are safe - provided he can get away with it. All in good fun, of course.

Concerning Jedi-specific abilities, he shows potential as a lightsaber duelist and expresses excitement at learning how to properly pilot spacecraft. The extent of his attunement to the Force is hard to know, and he is too full of youthful eagerness and impatience to show much interest in the philosophical aspects of Jedi teachings. However, he has turned out to be a bit of a history buff and loves to hear the stories some of the older Jedi have to tell, if they're action-packed and exciting!

On a personal level, Mazlen is loyal to his friends, but still not entirely in tune with who he ought to consider a friend. He is too quick to trust – something he has burned his fingers on previously. He is joyful, but perhaps a bit cynical for his age as well, the precariousness of his childhood necessitating preparedness for the worst outcome. With the Galaxy in turmoil, this might even come in handy.
