Kouta Assumed that the senator would be awake by now, Kouta didn't envy What haven would have to put up with...
Kouta was close now, not close enough to be recognized, but close enough to act the moment something happens. God he loved this speeder.

OOC: sorry, i really had nothing to go on.... filler post! :CHappy

"A shapeshifter?" Haven said, smiling after realising that it will make the plan even more sound. "Was going to swap some clothing, but this will be even better. Essentially, i want you to pick up my form. We'll exchange our coats, and then once we reach the hospital, we'll quickly switch places here, and then you'll have to pretend to help me out."

"i will have my head down, and i'll cover most of myself with the robes. This way, even though the enemy has the advantage of a scope, he should not be able to detect any anomalies with this. After all, you are supposed to be gravely injured, covering oneself's wound would seem perfectly normal." Haven explained. "i'm sure you won't have any problems with the acting, Senator. And don't worry, i'll be the one the assassin is going after, no harm will come to you." if the Senator agreed, they would swap their outer clothing once he was ready.

"Are you sure?" asked Djibril. "I'd have a better chance of surviving a hit from a sniper. It's up to you, though. If you want to do it so badly, I guess I really can't argue with you."

"Right, you confidence in the assassin being an inept fool is rather astounding." Haven said, shaking her head. "This will work better." Once Gabriel had successfully morphed into Haven's form, Haven parked the speeder for a brief moment. She shivered the instant her black coat came off her body, the chilling winds of Obroa-Skai taking advantage of the momentary drop in defenses instantly. Thankfully, it only lasted for a brief moment, with the senator's own coat being thankfully warm.

Now, Haven continued her driving, reaching the entrance of the hospital while her senses were tingling at the thought of attacks being capable of coming from nearly all directions. "Ready?" Haven asked, turning around. Once the senator was ready, they could not stop. This would require perfect execution for the ploy to be feasible.

Barrel finally spotted the Jedi... and her twin?
No, that can't be right, thought Barrel. The senator is a Shi'ido. He must have switched into her form. But who to target?
Barrel noticed that only one had the black jacket worn by the senator. Barrel aimed at the jacket-wearer and fired. However, cold winds shook the barrel of Barrel's rifle, causing the bullet to swerve off target. The explosive bullet would end up hitting the speeder rather than its target.

The assassin finally took the shot. Kouta took the time Haven took to ready themselves to reach the hospital. Kouta's speeder was unseen by the assailant, so he wouldn't have known who it was.

Unseen by Barrel Kouta made his way up towards Barrels location. Moments later, Kouta found himself on the roof, admitedly the best vantage point in the hospital area, he peered around the corner, seeing the assassins back, Thank god he hasn't moved.... amateur. he thought to himself. Kouta got one of his twin sabers ready, Holding it like he was getting ready to throw the blade
Turning the corner once more, Kouta hurled the hilt like a lance, the blade activating the moment it left his hands, aimed at Barrel's leg. as it came close, the blade would spin, guided by the force, and Kouta manipulating it, in an attempt to lop off Both of Barrels legs.

Haven recieved a warning through the force, immediately throwing herself and the Senator forward upon the pavement as the sniper fired. The speeder behind them exploded, the shell fired by the sniper having rended it's way right through the fuel tank. Haven immediately raised her hands, forming a protective surface with the force that prevented the two of them from being struck by any burning debris or shrapnel. She could sense kouta's presence, and as Haven slowly raised herself up from the ground, she focused for a moment, feeling that he had likely made a move upon the assailant already. "Excuse me Senator, we'll finish our chat once this is dealt with." Haven hurridely said, rushing into the hospital in search for an elevator.

Be careful kouta! Haven sent telepathically, shocked faces all around her as she searched for an elevator. The destroyed speeder had caused more than enough of a ruckus, making her navigation through the hospital not particulrly fluid or easy. Don't do anything stupid... Haven thought, finally locating an empty lift.

Barrel cursed as he realized he missed. He didn't have a good angle anymore so he'd have to find a new spot. As he was getting up, he spotted the Jedi attacking him. Barrel immediately tried to back up as the Jedi swung but as he rolled, the lightsaber sliced through his left arm and rifle.
Barrel howled a curse.
Barrel's self-preservation instincts kicked in. He charged at the Jedi, ready to bite into the Jedi's neck and drain his life energy.

Kouta stepped to the side, dodging the bite, "Biting already? and you haven't even taken me to dinner yet." He taunted, His saber returning to his hand deactivated. The assassin had decent speed, but seemed to be in a frenzy, acting more on instinct rather than rational thought. Kouta would use this to his advantage.

He bent to the side holding out his arm, "Come now... white meat! I'm healthy for you!" he called. Kouta knew that he was much more agile then his opponent, and kept himself near some form of cover to roll into if Barrel had any more firearms hidden away. They sent THIS guy after the senator? i could have bested this guy even before my training with you. Kouta transmitted back to Haven I am careful though, it is had to tell what's hidden away with this guy... buy hey, he's hungry, so be careful yourself if you're coming up.

"Bah, stupid Jedi," spat Barrel. "I won't fall to your mind tricks. Do not underestimate Takka the Hutt!"
Barrel knew quite well that Senator Djibril had a high chance of surviving the exploding bullet, though he was disappointed that it didn't dentonate at all. While the Shi'ido could recover, the objective with the exploding bullet was not to kill the Senator (though would be fine if it worked), its purpose was instead to severely injure the Senator. The Senator would be rushed to the nearest hospital where Barrel had already planted bombs. The bombs would incinerate the Shi'ido and hide the traces of Takka the Hutt stealing research data from the hospital. From the looks of things, the Jedi were falling into his trap, but he didn't calculate for himself to be found.
"This is why you Jedi will never win against the Hutt Empire!" cackled Barrel.
Barrel touched the comlink by his side, activating the dentonation sequence. In a matter of ten seconds, the hospital would explode in an inferno.
There was still the issue of the Jedi. Barrel jumped into the air and reeled the blaster from its holster. He fired several times at the Jedi's head.

Kouta took note of Barrel typing something in to a com pad. Almost instantly Kouta received a very ominous feeling about the building in which he stood, He did not know what was going to happen, but that it will be very bad

Gradually collecting the energies around him Kouta took a deep breath, his own power spiking. Kouta's movements reflected this, almost instantly after Barrel drew the blaster, Kouta drew his second dual saber. With a quick, albeit flashy, twirl of his saber, each blaster bolt fired at him was diverted towards it's sender. With an extension of his free hand, Kouta formed formed the force around the torso of Barrel, gripping down in an attempt to prevent him from trying anything to dodge the redirected bolts, aiding them to hit their destination.

Regardless of his counter attack worked or not, Kouta would focus the force within himself once more, leaping off of the roof of the hospital, landing on slightly lower platforms little by little, until he reached ground floor, the force cushioning each landing. Haven, I don't know where you are, but I'm getting a VERY strong feeling we need to leave... NOW! Kouta transmitted, Sounding a little rushed, I'll grab the senator, just get your Jedi behind out of that place! True to his word, Kouta rushed to where the senator was left, it was convenient that the sniper point was relatively close. "Love to talk but we have to go now!!!" Kouta hollered as he sprinted towards the senator, grabbing him by the waist with one arm, throwing him over his shoulder, and continuing to sprint, still relying on the force for aid with speed, strength, and energy.

Kouta would keep running until the subsequent blast behind him knocked Kouta off of his feet, tumbling forward with the Senator.

So, kouta had indeed engaged the assassin, and rather swiftly at that. Haven had been tapping her feet in the elevator while it continued it's seemingly snail-paced journey towards the rooftop. She could feel the disturbances above, but she could not help from her position. All the while, Haven was frowning, kouta's description of the assailant made him sound rather unstable. Unstable ones were the ones to watch out for. No... The calm ones are also most likely to do something stupid. Haven was just thinking when the elevator doors finally opened. At the same time as she recieved kouta's warning, Haven was treated to a sight of the languished and bleeding sniper.

"Ugh!" Haven shouted. This can't be good. Which one was it? More enemies approaching? An arial strike of sorts? Or was it...

Haven groaned in irritation as she realised what was to happen. She knew that if kouta had left in such a hurry, there would certainly be no time for her to leisurely go down by the elvator. Haven immediately turned, looking towards the other side of the roof, opposite directions to where kouta had exted from. A few trees, but the jump would certainly be demanding. Haven hoped that the initial detonation of the Speeder would have causedthe hospital staff to evacuate all patients. The hospital was not a particulrly large one, so Haven could only hope that they had accomplished the task successfully.

She took a deep breath before hurtling herself over the edge of the roof, one of the trees below being her target. With the force bolstering her jump, Haven launched herself towards what she hoped was a major branch. The air caused her hood to be uncovered, her white hair caused to flutter by the wind. Haven knew that she would miss her original target, being slightly too far away for it to be possible to grasp onto the branch. Change of actions... She thought, bringing her cybernetic left arm in front of her.

Letting the metallic fingers scrape along the bark of the tree, Haven felt her arm under threat from being wrenched away from it's attachment point. Thankfully, the structure held, and she immediately felt herself decelerate. Nevertheless, Haven knew that she couldn't maintain this, lest she risks the complete destruction of the cybernetic replacement, something she had done more than enough times. Once at a distance she judged to be safe, Haven pushed off from the tree, landing on the ground in a crouched position, a small shockwave swept loose material away from her, due to Haven's use of a protective force sheath to protect herself from the impact of the fall.

Now... kouta and the senator. Haven thought, casting a glance at her singed and damaged metallic arm, knowing that repairs would have to be done yet again once everything was over. Her mission was not over, the Senator would still have to be dealt with. Haven could only hope that this event would only solidify her point against Obroa-skai leaving the Republic.

Djibril groaned as he stood up. His chest was hurting like hell but he'd managed to heal himself for the most part. In this distance, emergency correspondents were on their way. Djibril, though distressed by the loss of the hospital, was glad it was this one. It had been in the process of being remodeled, so the majority of the staff and patients had been momentarily transferred to a neighboring hospital; if there were casualties, it would be less than it could have been.

Djibril limped over to Kouta to see if the Jedi was okay. He noticed a dead Lamia on the ground. He recognized the man as one of the liason of Takka the Hutt.

"Dammit! There goes another," grumbled Djibril, remembering the scene where Takka had killed one of his subordinates for disobeying an order.

But wait, what was Barrel doing here? It then became clear. Barrel hadn't coincidently been here. He was a Lamia, a simple 'feeding' would have healed any injuries. No, the only conclusion was that Barrel had been the assailant. At least he was dead.

Djibril then remembered Haven entering the hospital. He looked around. Had she been inside when the hospital exploded?

Kouta stood, facing the senator, "You sir.... are heavy" Kouta claimed with tired pants. Looking back at the hospital, the building was in ruins, though Kouta knew there wasn't really anything he could have done. his eyes moved to the Senator, "Sorry bout the manhandling, i had a bad feeling." Kouta stated scratching his head. his thoughts then moved to his own health, after he was asked if he was ok. Scratches, bruising, slight burns, the fractures that were already there from training were only agitated, nothing of note, "Yea i'm fine, You?"

Kouta turned to the dead Lamia, "Not the toughest of creatures, he was prepared though." Kouta walked up to check for a pulse... dead. Kouta exhaled heavily, the constant use of force took it's toll. It probably wouldn't have been so bad had Kouta been more trained, but, such as he is, Kouta was rather drained.

He sat back, using his remaining energy to try and establish a connection with Haven, if she was even there, Hey.... you make it? Im here with the senator, carried his heavy self down the road, away from the blast. You there?

As Haven picked herself up from the ground, she was happy to know that kouta had come out fine. And, with the Senator. Haven sighed, shaking her head as she thought of what was still to come. The assailant had done his preparation well, having placed bombs in positions where they can wreak the most havoc upon the hospital's structure. Thankfully, as she could now see, Haven saw that the hospital staff had done well in their swift evacuation of the patients, though there would have definitely still been some killed or injured by the detonation. Haven waded her way through the crowd, helping a few to their feet, but the hospital staff had it handled. She started to understand that despite whatever crazed views the politicians of Obroa-Skai held, their government had certainly done a good job in it's establishment of infrastructure and the society.

Nevertheless, Haven was still certain that leaving the Republic was not the right move for their people. if Obroa-Skai was changing sides, then the Republic's reaction towards the act could prove to be terrible. Seeing kouta and the Senator in front of her, Haven gave a tired smile. "Good to see you are relatively well." Haven said, noting the various injuries that kouta had suffered. She nodded at the Senator, knowing that it would be best for them to continue their discussion out of public sight. "Fortunately, the number of injured and casualties from the explosion seemed to have been kept at a minimum."

Haven was impressed by the poise and capabilities that kouta had shown during this ordeal. He had shown himself to be resourceful, not to mention his undaunting nature despite being faced with a task that would have proved difficult to some even beyond his age and experience. "Senator, if you would not mind, may we continue with what we had come here for? With luck, this time we won't be disrupted in quite such a dramatic fashion." Haven addressed the Senator, a grin on her face.

"By all means," said Djibril. "This changes things greatly."

Djibril called for his aide to pick them up. The aide arrived ten minutes later and transported them back to the capital building. Djibril led them to an enclosed conference room.

"Now, where were we?" mused Djibril, contemplating.

Kouta smiled to himself, Sounds like your getting a soft spot for him, careful haven... he teased.

Kouta took the time to rest on the ride over, he listened to everything that went on, yet gave no commentary, Haven was stronger in subjects like this than he was.

"We're here to make sure that you're still allied with the republic, rather then the angry bogan or the people that just tried to kill you." Kouta said bluntly. "Up until a few hours ago I had no idea why they just did not send republic delegates.... It's good, for you at least, the order threw us into the party no?" Kouta's ability to make a serious event light was astounding.

"If I may," HE began again, looking at haven for a moment, "It seems, for the moment at least, it would be in your best interest to stay with the republic. Now, personally, I hold myself not with the republic, but with the order. The order sees it important for the republic that your system stays apart of it, so i'm going with that. And considering the events, I'd say it's the best choice." HE finished before leaning back on the wall.

Haven raised an eyebrow at kouta when he teased her telepathically. Smiling, she transmitted back her response. Yes, Mr Hiroke, you see if i can't plant some evidence of you spending time with some Twi'lek club girls.

Haven stayed silent while kouta provided his views. "While perhaps a little harsh, he speaks the truth." She said, turning her gaze upon the Senator. "But let me elaborate on some things. The war with the Hutts have reached a rather critical point, the Hutts have been gaining momentum, this much is undeniable. A rift now within the Republic would cause far more harm than simply losing Obroa-Skai, Senator. You know as well as me that the hearts of the people is what truly lies behind each successful establishment. A wavering in the hearts of the Republic would lead to even lower morale. When that happen, the Hutts will certainly take advantage."

Haven paused, looking for Gabriel's reaction before continuing. "i have seen the good of your world, but i know that the Hutts would not simply allow your current political system to continue. Under them, do you believe Obroa-Skai can continue it's path as was intended?"

"I knew it would have been difficult but I wanted to try," explained Djibril. "I was to gain the title marquis over Obroa-skai and use my new power to prevent most Hutts from spreading to the system. I would continue the Representative Council. If I were to no longer be elected, I'd pass the title onto another Councilor."

Djibril sighed. "It appears as though I was wrong. Don't worry, I shall return to the Republic. However, there's something you should know. There was a Hutt here earlier. They made a copy of our Force research data. It'll most likely end up in the Bogan's hands."

"it's unlikely there is anything that the Bogan will gain from that, they would not need outsiders to provide any information on the Jedi." Haven said. "That choice is one that you will need to upkeep, Senator. Succumbing to the Hutt's pressure would be a sign to the people that the government is no longer the tightly knit structure that is required."

Haven rose from her seat and made a curt bow. "The Jedi will assist with the appropriate ways, Senator. But we cannot win the war for the Republic by ourselves. Examples like Obroa-Skai standing firm to the pressures of the Hutts is what is required for the Hutt's momentum to be stopped. Every world that stands firm allows the Republic to regroup and organise itself."
