Qailan had sat down next to Ahdam after he woke up. She looked over his head, not spotting anything right off the bat. She met his eyes right in time to note that he looked at her suspiciously. Qailan said nothing for a while, holding the gaze. She knew if she looked too nervous, he would be able to see right through her. The blank stare back seemed to be satisfactory as he looked away. Qailan brought up a pack of ice.

"Here, this is for that lump on your head."

As she moved to hand him it, he made a quip that made her roll her eyes. With a grin, she chucked the cold pack of ice at him, playfully whacking him on the chest.

"Yeah well you can stay tied up. Anything to keep you from getting to any more terrifying costumes.."

She rose from her seat, turning away for a moment to look down at the wound on her arm from the knife. Qailan knew if she didn't take care of it soon, it would get infected. However, she also knew that Ahdam couldn't know about it. She left it alone for now, despite the constant stinging. Qailan turned to Ahdam again.

"Mom?"

She was distracted, and walked over to her son and picked him up, bringing him over to Ahdam. Aiden curiously looked over at Ahdam, blinking. Qailan smiled and turned to Ahdam.

"This is Aiden.."

As she looked down at him, it was obvious that Aiden truly invoked feelings of affection within her. There was something different in her eyes, different from any other emotion displayed. She pulled her son close, kissing him on the top of his head. Aiden slipped out of her grasp and walked over to Ahdam, curiously inspecting him. Qailan couldn't help but laugh.

"I guess he finds you fascinating."

She watched the two for a moment before suddenly remembering something.

"So..about that Alderaan trip?"

Ahdam smiled as Aiden looked at him. He didn't really know what to say or do other than that, he had never been good with kids. He did like the name Aiden, though. It was very strong. It was a name befitting someone with great potential, not unlike a member of the Bac family.

"Oh, right," he said, recalling the Alderaan trip, "we were interrupted by our friends back there."

He paused for a moment, thinking about how it would work and how he could help her get set up. "I never really got an answer from you about that. I can't be there for a few more weeks, but the offer is still on the table. Nothing changed from last night."

Aiden stuck around for a bit longer before deciding that there was too much boring grown up talk for him to be entertained. He wandered back into the room Adrian had set them up in, which had some of his toys in it. Qailan watched him leave before turning back to Ahdam.

"I was saying that I'd like to go see Alderaan before making the decision. I admit I don't know what being on a planet like that is. I've always been in congested cities. It'd be amazing to be able to breathe some fresh air."

She smiled, looking up.

"Though nothing can compare to the crisp, cold air of And- Uh.."

Qailan quickly caught herself there. Ando Prime was such a distant memory that she wondered if it even mattered anymore. However, it was still a prominent Bogan planet in the past, which meant that he would make the connection instantly. She looked at Ahdam for a moment before speaking. Her voice was quiet, barely audible.

"Has..has Adrian ever said anything about me?"
