ISP-1123 moved through the labyrinthine hallways of the Imperial Palace on Coruscant. The red cape of his uniform training behind him as he walked with a purpose. It was his first time back at the palace since the new Empress had taken leadership of the Empire and so he had been called home, back to the center of the Galaxy, if not physically, but politically. The black and silver vibrosword in his hand glinted in the afternoon light as he continued towards the throne room itself. The Throne Room was in the center of the palace, and labyrinthine walkways and halls made access time consuming and difficult. This had been only intentional in part, once the palace had been much smaller, but over 500 years the palace had grown, splayed out, and taken up ever more space on the giant city world. It was a good thing, then, that as part of his training, deep within the bowels of this complex, he had been forced to memorize every secret passage and shortcut nestled within the walls.
It was to the surprise of one of the many Aides that scrambled through the palace that ISP-1123 appeared from one such passage behind them, causing him to startle and drop his many datapads. As such, ISP-1123 smiled and stepped around the man. Still got it. He thought to himself, as he approached the door to the throne room at long last. Slowly, he forced himself to slow his breathing and become calm. He was actually getting a bit nervous, after all, for all his time in the Royal Guard, he had never been called to assignment guarding their leader. With a heavy exhalation, and a click as the seal closed, the visor systems clocked on and ISP-1123 strode through the doors at last, ready to for the most important assignment of his life.
