Kneko Quin Opera House
Hanna City Chandrilla
Assortments of colored light dyed the exterior windows of the new opera house, as if the house herself were bragging to the world outside of the party within. Pivot mounted lights swung in wild and coordinated angles, increasing the visual pomp and regal nature of the event. The Opera House had been finished months before, and was going to open within the month. Aren had made sure that it didn't open at a later date, and instead opened tonight. He had purchased it just a day or so before, paying generously for the house, and completely re-branding it. He had left the former staff, including the owner, now the Executor of the House, in place, as he had no interest in really running an opera house, though he didn't mind collecting profits from one. No, instead he had bought the house, scheduled one of the most grandiose Operas currently making the rounds around the core, and made sure that it was well stocked for a grandiose event.

The night's event was a memorial event, one to honor the loss of the Chancellor's late husband, and the fallen High Commander of the Alliance, as well as honor the Sector Rangers, and other law enforcement. To the law enforcement officers, and the Sector Rangers, Aren had provided them tickets to the night's event and the opera, free of cost. He did own the House after all. For others, it would be two thousand credits per ticket to get into the nights event. All proceeds of the event would go to support the families of the aforementioned victims, or to the law enforcement officers and the Sector Rangers. Aren had sent for a hover-limo to pick up each law enforcement or sector ranger individual, as well as paid for their attire for the night.

Krass himself stepped out of the limo he had arrived in, dressed to the nines. He wore a gray coat and trousers, with a grey vest and white shirt to match. His long cloth and armorweave coat that stretched nearly to his knees was a solid black. As he approached the grand entrance to the house he removed the coat and discarded it to a nearby servant. He turned to a member of the press, a slightly cocky grin on his face,

"Don't worry, he's well paid. You won't be crucifying me over forced labor."

The nights events would incllude milling around, followed by a formal dinner, and a Coruscant quality Opera.

Arritef walked beside Aren, also handing off his coat the the men at the door. "Thank you." He said kindly, before continuing after Aren into the building. Tonight would be yet another important night in gaining even more political respect for Aren. It was always a fight to gain and keep political respect in this world, and Aren seemed to have quite a talent for it. His numerous parties were no small part of the reason for his popularity, at least with the public. They not only showed his ideals, but also his humanity.

Sal eagerly got ready for the show. This, being his first time in months being outside of his escort. But this time he wasnt escorting freighters for Corellia Engineering Corporations or rather CEC, but this time he was escorting its CEO along with his wife and three other guards.

Sal couldnt understand how many other species socialized amongst eachother, but he did find it intriguing. As the limo pulled up Sal was the first to embark the vehicle, doing a quick search both near and far of any harm that may be present.

"Sir" Sal anxiously said as he opened the CEOs door "after you".

Sal hovered to the front right of his Boss as they slowly approached the beautiful hall. As they approached he became in awe to its glamour and sophisticated aura that this luxurious structure had given off.

The Ceo turned to the two guards that followed in the rear and handed them his coat, nodding for them to stay with the vehicle. And followed behind Sal as he pressed through the crowd clearing a path for him and his mistress to cling too.

Sal didnt really pay mind to his CEO and his obnoxious attitude but it did pay well. So all Sal had to do was stand there and look pretty, And thats what all he was going to do.

The skylanes above Hanna City were especially busy tonight. The sun had just set and the buildings far below were lit almost instantaneously, using the green energy that Chandrila was so famous for. Talia looked out the viewport of the limo-speeder, her eyes glittering from the illumination of the lights below. It was beautiful. It was almost like Iziz. If not for the major difference in architecture.

Despite leaving to forget her past, Talia missed Onderon. She missed the plains, alive with life and seemingly endless in length. The jungles, teeming with danger and poison around every corner. Most of all, she missed the climate. The heat gave her an excuse to wear more revealing clothing and comfortable clothing, which Tyrell preferred her in.

The senator blinked. You mustn't think of him. Tonight is important. Don't falter. She told herself these things, but past memories flooded her mind in a flash. The carriage stopping, the sounds of the guards dying, and then...

A touch on her shoulder jolted Talia from her train of thought. She glanced up. It was Dyrus, captain of her personal guard. He wore the armor that he'd worn years ago, when he was captain of the Royal Guard in the palace on Onderon, a collection of plastoid-alloy plates connected together over a suit of mail. His customary vibrosword hung at his belt, but he carried a standard blaster in his hands as well. There were two other guards in the seat in front of her, but she did not know their names. Unfortunate.

Dyrus tapped her on the shoulder again gently. "We're almost there, Your Maj--"

"Dyrus, I am no longer your queen," she told the grizzled old veteran, his visor open to reveal a blink at her snapping. "You will refer to me as Senator Oveiden from this point on, no excuses, is that clear?" She glanced at the other two guards, then back at Dy, not giving him time to respond. "And is it really necessary to have two extras? You were enough back on Onderon."

"With all due respect, senator," the captain said with a flat voice, "I would have brought more if you would have allowed it. Your security is of the utmost importance to not only me personally, but to Onderon as well."

"Oh, you don't even believe that." She crossed one leg over her knee and leaned back in her seat, the white-and-gold scales sown to her incredibly ornate lace dress glimmering with the movement. She looked out the window to see the limo pulling up to the balcony of the newly opened opera house. It was more crowded than she would have thought. This Krass really outdid himself. I shall have to find him, after I speak with the families.

Her guards stood from their seats, hands on their vibroswords, and opened the doors of the speeder for Talia to exit, standing to either side, scanning for danger.

As soon as the Onderonian senator set foot from her vehicle, the cameras blinded her. There were many other senators here, Talia noticed. The press was all over every single one of them and their mother's, not excluding her. There were holonet personalities, fading starlets, musicians, playwrights, actors, and more. It was a flashy, expensive, and elegant looking gathering of the elite.

Dyrus came to her side, his visor now lowered. "Where to, senator?"

Talia smiled, exposing her pearly whites. "Let's mingle a bit. Maybe find yourself a waitress, eh?" She winked at him, then headed for the grand entrance, her guards hot on her tail.

The hunt was on for Alexis, and her prey was quite the challenge.

Her rented speeder slowed to a stop, nearly slamming into a sporty red speeder next to her, and she stepped out. One slender, well toned and pale leg slid onto the pavement, followed by the other. Her midnight blue dress, dark as the sky, was short and showed off plenty of those well toned legs. Up top, it teased shyly at what lay beneath. Enough to pique a man's interest, but leave him desiring more.

The effect worked well on the Twi'lek valet as she tossed him her keys, and she smiled graciously and quickly ascended the steps to the opera house, keeping an eye out for her quarry. As a sector ranger (She flashed her badge at the man taking tickets) she paid nothing for the event memorializing the victim of her own case (Alexis noted the irony dryly), but she hoped the reward would be what she expected. She could sit through corellian opera if it meant, him.

Aren clapped his hands, a learned expression of joy, as he saw the two newcomer, Detective Bralor of the Sector Rangers. He gave a warm smile and approached her, moving in for a warm greeting hug.

"Detective Bralor! I'm pleased you could make it tonight. I hope we will be graced by more member of the Sector Rangers tonight? I hope to honor them tonight and show the galaxy how integral they are. I hope the arrangements for your transportation were pleasurable?"

It was hardly surprising that the Sector Rangers had not sent more people to this event, more likely busy making up cases to chase after, he thought, as Senator Tan Prestors motorcade arrived at the venue. His own car a luxury one of Hapian make was accompanied by four outrider hover-bikes, with a further two speeders behind his vehicle, containing Hapian Security. Tan Prestor took his safety seriously, however once he had landed, the motorcade stayed where they were, allowing for Prestor to go into the event on his own.

He shook hands with the Correllian Senator as he walked into the gala, hoping that the man understood that the only reason he was here was out of respect to Krass. Prestor ignored the Sector Rangers speaking to Krass directly
''A commendable event Senator Krass, but I must ask why the Rangers, an organisation that has yet to be approved by a Senator vote, are here in their supposed 'official' capacity.''[/url] he inquired, declining a drink as it was offered to him, but offering a wave and a smile to the Press as he shook Senator Krass' hand.

Krass put on his 1,000 watt grin as he shook the man's hand, and half embraced him infront of the press, speaking so that only they could hear what was being said.

"They're the heroes, Tan. They were there when the bombing occurred, they got Makr and the Chancellor out. Someone had to take advantage of the publicity that could bring." he finished the last line with a wink and waved over a server, retrieving another drink for himself.

"You sure I can't get you some Coronet Shine? It's a rather fine brew found here in Coronet, and it rarely makes its way off world."

Senator Krass was quite obviously an opportunist or a careerist, or indeed maybe both, and it was quite apparent in the fact that he was open with his desire to hold such a meeting with the Sector Rangers. Tan Prestor however rather liked correcting people if they made obvious errors. ''The Senate Guard and Czerka Security got the Chancellor and Mr. Makr out Senator, as well you know.'' he responded to the man, walking away, to migle with the crowd.
