Duty. Justice. Honor. Sacrifice. These things we embody, this is who are. The wider Galaxy fears the insignia of the Corps, they view us as heinous monsters hell bent to destroy and subjugate. But they forget that we too are men and women with families, hopes, and dreams. I have hopes, a hope to see a better tomorrow free of the tyrannous grip of these murderous Rebels. I have dreams, a dream to see the Galaxy purged once and for all of crime and war. I have a family, the largest one in the Galaxy, you call us Stormtroopers but I call us Guardians.

We are the few willing to sacrifice our dreams, our hopes, and our families in order to secure a future for you and yours. We are the few who bare the heavy cross of battle so you might not have to. While you sleep soundly at night, we are the watchmen at the gates, those who hold back the ever looming threat of these terrorists. You fear what we represent, but you don’t understand the sacrifice we make, and unfortunately I doubt you ever will. Next time you see us remember, we Live for the Legion but we Die for the Empire, we Die for you.

[IMPERIAL MILITARY PERSONNEL REPORT]​ Miles Cardan, age twenty was born in the lower class sector of Bastion. While his parents couldn't afford him a conventional education, they taught him something far more valuable, patriotism. From a young age Miles Cardan was taught to love and respect the Imperial emblem, believing it to be a beacon of hope and order that should be spread across the Galaxy. This fierce sense of loyalty didn't stop the young boy from petty thefts from local food markets to feed not only his mouth but his three other siblings. After several arrests on the young Miles Cardan, the Imperial Child Services removed not only Miles but his siblings from the care of his neglectful sires and placed all four of them into an Imperial Military Academy for Troubled Youths. It was here, at the age of thirteen that Miles Cardan learned to read, write, and do arithmetic. The Imperial Military Academy turned not only Miles into a law abiding citizen but all three of his younger siblings as well, the Academy also bred a hunger for the Imperial Military into Miles, something his siblings apparently bypassed. When Miles came to the age of eighteen he registered for Imperial Military scoring slightly above average marks for a being with his particular background. During Basic training Miles showed an eagerness to learn at all times, and proved that he was not only a reliable shot but a loyal recruit with excellent leadership capabilities often encouraging his downtrodden squadmates during simulated combat exercises and coming up with both ingenious and abstract strategies to overcome often overwhelming odds. It was for this inspirational leadership and excellent attitude that Miles Cardan was given leadership over the 97th squad both during and after Basic training. Upon graduation Miles and the 97th squad were assigned to the fourth theater along the southeastern border of Imperial space in which both he and his squad have taken reconnaissance, special operation, and guerrilla operations. Since their deployment, (which occurred one year, six months, and twenty-two days ago) the 97th squad has seen action thirty times, twenty-one of which were assigned missions and hold an astounding eighty-nine percent success rate and a nineteen percent mortality rate. While this Success to Mortality rate is partially due to the individual skill of each soldier, we feel that this astounding statistic wouldn't have been reached without the leadership of the young Miles Cardan. As recognition for his valiant efforts to not only the Empire but the Empress, I recommend Miles Cardan for immediate evaluation into the Stormtrooper Corps.
