It'd basically just be drinking and hanging around in a rather large cantina, gives the newer people(including myself) to meet up and RP. Nothing rediculous though, don't go starting fights or being an idiot, drunk idiocy is excuseable if funny though.

Only problem I foresee is if someone decides to try and crash the party. There has been a trend in the past of people attempting to hijack open threads whenever possible. You wouldn't want this to turn into the wedding thread, would you? =)

Except you really can't... It's in a "large cantina." Anyone who is on the planet or can realistically find a way onto the planet can enter the thread. Making it ask/invite would just lead to someone complaining and getting in anyway. As long as it's in a physically accessible location, it shouldn't be allowed to be made ask.

There are bases that have less stringent rules when it comes to the "All Ranks Club".

I've been to them before where they have Blackjack tables. Yes, with real money.

Even the US Navy, when they've been out to sea more than 30 days, throw out a couple of beers (at least) and have a "Steel Beach" where everyone goes topside, grills out in their civilian attire, and enjoys a few drinks. Usually the night ends with a movie on the flight deck which is pretty darn cool at night out under the stars... Unless you're watching "Castaway" (true story).

Of course, you could always have it on some deep Republic planet that's -right- beside a military outpost. But then on either side you'd have to have a tattoo parlor, strip club, gas station, another bar, tattoo parlor, strip club, gas station, another bar, tattoo parlor, strip club, gas station...
