Alastair stood at the foot of the steps leading up to the entrance of his familial home, it looked even worse during the day. Several of the windows were shattered.

He was not happy.

He was waiting for his ally and -possible- friend, Sythe. The assassin was unnerving, and that was what he needed on his side.

As he waited he felt that something was....off. he had no idea what just yet, but the sorcerer knew that it would reveal itself.

And soon.

Her hunt of a rogue sith priestess went terribly wrong. So the Tiss was forced to hide somewhere. That somewhere was what she thought was an abandoned manor.

She has been here for a while, dragging all of her kills back to her hiding place in the building. Her exact location was in the basement where people or beings would not dare to go looking. Why? Because people are supersticious of old, spooky basements.

The Tiss laid in the room that she established as her makeshift lair. Her wounds have healed but she was not sure if the priestess was still out there looking for her. So the Raptor thought that perhaps a few more days will not be a bad idea.

Sythe walked up to Alastair and found him staring once again at his broken down manor. "It still is a dump." he whispered as he stopped just short of his friend.
His senses were attuned to the force as well, feeling that something was a bit different with the manor, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what it was. Looking at Alastair, he put his hand on the hilt of his lightsaber.
"Shall we go have a look?"

Alastair chuckled a little at his friend's muttered comment. It wasn't wrong really. The place really was a dump.

For now.

The Sorcerer could tell Sythe was on edge, the assassin's keen senses must have detected something off. He looked at Sythe with a raised eyebrow and gripped the hilt of his sword, ready to draw it if needed and unlocked the door, entering the manor and looking around.

Cher's eyes snapped open as she smelled that there is something different. She couldn't quite figure out what it is that she is smelling. But the Tiss knew that it was something to investigate.

Knowing it is better to move around than stay in one place. The Raptor quietly got up and moved to another room to hide in unsure of where Alastair or Sythe will be coming from.

Sythe pulled his lightsaber off his belt, but didn't ignite it. He knew better than to announce his presence and location to whoever was there by turning on the weapon. Even though it was the preferred choice of all force users, it still made quite the racket when activated.
Instead he stood still and reached out with the force... using it to search for a sign of life within the manor. As the tendrils of the force stretched out, he could feel another presence...
"Another one who uses the force." he whispered to Alastair. "Use caution."

He moved to the right to where the living room would be. His trained steps giving no sound as he made his way in... keeping the outside wall at his back, and positioning himself in a place where he could see the front doorway, and the hallway going back to the pantry and kitchen areas.

Alastair drew his blade, the phrik making practically no sound in the well oiled sheath, he broke off from Sythe, knowing that they could alert eachother in fractions of a second if needed. His boots made slight clacks on the old floor boards, but to his mind that would just serve to help keep attention away from his silent friend. He roamed upstairs first, slowly making his way through the bedchambers and storage closets.

Someone was definitely in his house, and they would pay for their tresspass.

The Tiss was still in one of the lower levels of the manor as the two Sith made their way into the building. To try to hide her own movement, Cher kept her claws off the floor as best as she could. The wood flooring though made it a little difficult since they made light cuts into the flooring. A light sanding is all that is needed to erase the scratches from her claws.

Sniffing the air, Cher hissed excitedly. They smelled so good! The Raptor stopped. Quietly tappibg a single claw on the floor, weighing her options. Well she can definetely smell that there are two separate beings. But which one to target first? That answer was easy, which ever one that comes down the stairs first will be her first target. Unluckily for them, the lighting is not that great. But what she did not know that was the two beings are force sensitive while she is not.

Cher had the place memorized and thought she had a well thought out plan in her head. The Raptor moved to hide in a room where it had a whole connecting it to another. She didn't go into the connected room though. She hid in a small closet, the door being broken off ages ago due to the hinges rusting off.

Sythe watched the entrance to the living room, but to no avail. The intruder must have hidden them selves... but where.
He whispered to Alastair, while using the force to mask his voice, but amplify it in Alastair's mind. It's clear in here... I think either upstairs, or down.
He moved toward the stairs that would either take him down to the basement, or up to the second floor and waited for Alastair to join him.

As Alastair finished his sweep of the upper level he heard Sythe's voice in his ear, a directed whisper was an interesting alternative to standard telekinesis.

Upsrairs is clear. Who or what ever is in here will be in the basement. And You'll have to teach me that directed whisper technique at some point. he thought back to his friend as he descended the stairs and met back up with the silent assassin.

After a brief stop to regroup with Sythe and indicate through gestures that he would go first and Sythe should follow, Alastair made his way down the stairs into the basement, his sword ready to block any attacks that may come.

Cher remained where she was hidden, thinking that the location she picked was a good spot to ambush. At least that is what she thought since she has used this same technique on others. Unfortunately what she did not know is that the two beings are well trained Sith.

She could not hear them, but the Raptor is able to smell them. Knowing that one or both will be coming, the Tiss got into a pounce stance. Now it was just the waiting game to see if they are foolish enough to come into her designated ambush zone.

Sythe got an idea.
As they went down the stair, he thought it would be a good time to "announce" themselves to the intruder. If they were walking into a darkened area, maybe it was time to gain the upper hand and instill some fear into them.
He pulled out his lightsaber and ignited it. The snap-hiss of the blade echoed throughout the manor and down the hallway, and the red light from the blade lit up the stairs below them. If the intruder was even half-way intelligent, they would realize just who they were messing with.

As Alastair reached the bottom of the stairs he heard Sythe's lightsaber snap to life and bathe them in a crimson glow, a good idea, instill some fear in the intruder.

Sheathing his blade -partially because of the tight quarters in here and partially because he liked Sythe's plan- the Vahla sorcerer took his saber from it's place on his lower back and thumbed the activator. The quillions snapping to life in unison a second after the main blade. He did not use his lightsaber often, but he was just as deadly with it as he was with the solid phrik blade at his hip.

With the crimson glows bathing the hallway it now looked quite macabre, almost as if the basement was painted in blood. He could feel the fear from the other squatters in the locked portion of the cellars, they would be of no consequence at the moment, but their fear would serve Alastair in the long run.

Cher blinked when she heard the snap and his of lightsabers activating. So it is Sith who are in the place. Well this has gotten very dangerous. The Tiss has fought her fair share of force sensitives. The most recent going wrong; resulting in her having to hide as her injuries healed. One of the injuries now a scar going across her shoulder.

The Raptor debated on if she should show herself or stand her ground. The Tiss snapped her as she weighed her options. Well she certainly is out powered and out numbered. Unless she could isolate one from the other then she has a fighting chance to get away or them down one at a time.

The Raptor hissed, deciding to stubbornly stand her ground. So Cher took a deep breath and let out a loud roar to bring them towards her or scare whoever they are away.

Sythe stopped for a moment. A roar echoed through the bottom of the basement. a roar? he thought. He sent out the force again to see if he could get a sense of what kind of creature it was... What he got in return was a sense of … hunger.
He looked at Alastair and shrugged. The creature was about to get a mouthful.

He went down the stairs and put his back to Alastair, so that he wouldn't be surprised at anything that tried to come at them from behind.
you may want to say something... or we could just kill whatever it is... your choice... he directed his thoughts to Alastair to see what his friend was going to do.

Alastair was admittedly surprised by the roar, stopping for a moment out of pure shock.

However, this was his home. And the invader had just given itself away. Sounds as if it is just a mindless beast. he thought back with the mental equivalent of a chuckle.

With that he rushed towards the sound, bursting in through the door and seeing the large reptile waiting for him. On impulse he threw up his left hand and lashed out with a burst of force, hoping to knock the creature back and stop it from biting at him.

Okay maybe roaring was not the best idea that she had. But then again these two are not normal people. Though all the same she did have some expectation that the two Sith would turn around and run away. But instead it seemed that them hearing the theropod spurred them into finding her, with the end result of at least one of the two Sith bursting into the room that Cher is in. Well perhaps it would not be too bad if she could make one or both of them into her next meal.

The Raptor raised herself to her full six foot height as one of them, Alastair came charging into the room. Okay she could have had herself in a better location than right in front of the door, that is what she mentally kicked herself for as Alastair knocked her back with a burst of the force. To keep herself from completely falling over the Raptor dug her claws into the floor, then using that momentum to try pushing herself towards the Sith. The reptilian will make an attempt to at least ram the Sith with her head to knock him backwards onto the floor.

Sythe followed Alastair into the room, and to his surprise, they were met by a six foot tall... thing.
Alastair forced pushed it backwards, which gave him a bit more room to enter as well and give his friend some back-up. He also reached out with the force a pushed against the creature, trying to keep it back far enough so its teeth wouldn't reach them.

Alastair was in all honesty at a loss for what to do here. He and Sythe had shoved the beast around, but.it didn't seem to care. Snapping savagely at them the whole while.

The Vahla took a step back and gave another force shove, trying to keep it pinned against the wall. As he did so he channeled a bit of his pyromancy and black flames jumped to life in his eyes, not a damaging effect, but it had worked to frighten sentients before, and he wanted to know of it would work on this...whatever it was.
