Meanwhile outside the Mandalorian trio on topside searched for a hatch, with Minerva leading the way. For a moment she glanced toward the still distant dome of Sunfari. Admittedly, the capital was mostly dead save for a remnant of their people inhabiting it’s ruins. It was for them and the future of Mandalore that Minerva was risking her life now.

Determination renewed the former founding resumed her search until she spotted the hatch meters away from the destroyed turret. As the wind blew she signaled the Wren duo and together they forced it open with a gasp of ship air. Minerva jumped in followed by the others.

Landing on both feet with collective thud, the warriors swifty drew their weapons back to back. Seeing no opposition Minerva then called Armand. “What’s the situation flyboy?”

She can hear blaster fire and chanting in Mando’a before the Wren pilot answers. “Your friends are leading the way and we got the pirates’ attention.”

“Copy that. Give us your coordinates and we'll link up. After that the bridge is next.”

With a nod of her head to her new comrades, they advanced the hallway in front of them.

Meanwhile the Nagai opposing the boarding party, kept firing while hiding behind the wall edges and a corner on the right. “They got a shield!” A panicked pirate shouted in commlink before a laser shot struck him in the forehead. Subsequently one of the brigand readied a grenade and sprang forth in an attempt to toss it toward the Mandalorians.

As the pirate ran forward with the detonator, Srucayr would flick his warpick at the man, the pickside colliding with his skull with such force that he staggered back into his fellows, the detonator scattering them into the wind. "Kyr'am bal kote!" Srucayr would yell out, rotating his shield as he drew his beskad. He would charge forward, jumping over the freshly smoking heap of dead pirates as his blade came across at chest height in a horizontal swing.

The pirate would throw up his stun baton to block, eyes going wide as the blade cut through his weapon and embedded into his chest. The shield would come up to knock the corpse clear of the blade, before the pommel came crashing downwards into the skull of a second. "Kad malyasa'yr bic!"

It was utter chaos, and Reiel couldn't help but revel in it. Here stood the aruetiise, fighting tooth and nail against the Mando'ade but were only ever met with death on their part. Pirates would fall one after another from her own blaster as she followed Srucayr, the long-range support to his melee combat. The combination was rather deadly.

Stepping over the pirates' corpses, Reiel gleefully holstered her weapon in exchange for two blaster pistols she tugged from a pair of dead hands, the power packs on the bastard's belt following suit. These belong in the hands of Mandalorians, not scum like you.

The remaining pirates were quick to take cover when they realized that they were being overpowered by the small group of Mandalorians, with Srucayr on the lead. Reiel peeled away from the older Mandalorian's path and made a beeline for the cowering outsiders. Their screams and pleas fell on deaf ears as she shot them with frightening accuracy. Blaster bolts pinged against her helmet and chestplate and she briefly paid them no heed.

"We need to take the control room," she told her companions in Mando'a over the din of blaster fire and the pirates' death screams. "Take this ship for ourselves, of course. Yay or nah?"

Minerva’s group advanced through the hallway so far without opposition. Of course the armored warriors made sure to check their corners. Likely the scum don’t have enough for a full crew. Whatever the case they need to make haste.

Subsequently, the main team led by Srucayr and Reiel pushed through, slaughtering their way through. Armand answered Reiel’s advice in regards to taking the ship. “We’re with you sister.”

However, as the group made it into the corvette’s center with more space containing crates of supplies and some loot, the pirates were waiting for them. One with a heavy repeater blasted at Srucayr’s shield. He was flanked by one Nagai sharpshooter using the lower crates as cover.

He attempted to shoot at Reiel whenever there was an opening. Then battle cries rang out. Several pirates from the right flank, hidden among the boxes jumped into the midst of the Mandalorians. One Wren distracted took a bolt through the neck and fell.

The rest, including Armand, engaged the ambushers in melee combat protecting both Reiel and Scrucayr from the rear. Four more pirates charged on the left side when suddenly they were cut down by a stream of laser shots by Minerva’s team. The latter swifty rocket toward their besieged allies.

Minerva spotted Armand stabbing one pirate in the chest when another rushed to club him. Immediately she fired two shots, striking her target in the stomach and left shoulder. Looking up Armand gave a brief nod in gratitude and Minerva returned it before descending behind Scrucayr and Reiel.

Srucayr could hear the whir a second before the spray started to come, getting small behind the shield, he'd grunt as several bolts nearly punched through the pauldron and cuirass. He would tuck Orar back into its place and prime the wrist rocket on his right bracer. "Reiel! Nayla diryc!" he shouted back to the young Mandalorian. He only had one shot, so he'd steal a quick glance around the edge of the shield, to spot the shooters. Visual locked, he'd raise, shield lower a bit, so his right arm could extend and he fired the wrist rocket center mass on the pirate with the repeater. The force of the blast would kill him and send crates falling onto the sniper below. Quickly turning, he stepped between Reiel and another pirate, catching their sword hand by the wrist and shield bashing him roughly before forcing him to the younger Mandalorian for the kill. "Kyr'am bal kote!" he took up the chant again, beskar covered in a sheen of blood, shield clearly seeing better days.

Reiel nodded at Armand's words, smiling at her fellow Mandalorian before following Srucayr's lead. Blasters in hand, she shot any opposition that blocked their way, stepping over smoking and bloody corpses as their group advanced.

Things have been going smoothly so far until a sniper bolt glanced the side of her helmet. Instinctively, Reiel ducked behind Srucayr before rolling over to the nearest cover she could find. One of the Wren Bunch seemed to get distracted by the sudden ambush, and Reiel would've reached for him to pull him to safety but she hadn't been quick enough.

What had happened in a split second seemed to have excruciatingly slowed down in Reiel's eyes. The spark of blaster bolt making contact was to bright, the spray of blood coming out of the other Mandalorian a vivid red, and he the way he fell to the floor was almost too graceful in death. The sounds of the battle fell on deaf ears but for a moment, before another kind of anger bubbled up in Reiel's chest the longer she stared at her lifeless vod beside here.

She stood sliently, jaw clenched, and fired two shots at the pirate Srucayr had sent her way. The scum fell, face blown apart and she stomped on his chest for good measure, booted feet heavy and unforgiving. With the heavy repeater blaster and the sniper out of the way, the rest of the pirates' chances of turning the tide to their favor dropped to zero.

Deaf to Srucayr's chants and unheeding of Minerva and her group's arrival, Reiel stepped forward, firing one shot after another with frightening accuracy. Where others were blinded with anger, Reiel's rage made her vision clearer, her instincts of survival and killing all the more sharper. Her conversation with Srucayr back in the Wren Bunch's ship all but nearly forgotten, the death of her fellow Mandalorian played on repeat in her head as she continued to fell one pirate and the next.

Stray blaster bolts pinged against her armor. One grazed her arm. Reiel felt no pain, the anger in her chest made up for it.

"Leave some alive for interrogation," she told the others, voice cold and brimming with malice. "I'll be more than glad to do the questioning."

She had been torn on the subject of torture back in the Palace. Now, though, with one of her vode dead?

The smile on Reiel's face promised nothing but murder.

Losing their advantage, the ambushers were quickly overwhelmed but not before wounding another Mandalorian in the left thigh via blade. With a grunt, the wounded warrior shot her attacker at point blank in the chest before collapsing on her back. Armand who just beheaded another brigand rushed to her side.

“Don’t stop cousin, keep moving or I’ll shoot you next.” She answered in an angry grunt

Armand sighed, muttering. “Stubborn idiot.” Subsequently he tossed her a medpack to treat herself. It should stabilize the wound long enough for an operation. One Nagai attempted to flee but only to be shot in the back by Minerva still flying by jetpack.

Landing next to Reiel and Srucayr she heard what the former said. “Let’s save that for the bridge crew, they will have more intel.” Moments later the Wren warriors slew the last of the ambushers. Then the whole group advanced in the direction of the bridge.

Meanwhile inside, a grizzled faced Nagai wearing looted Mandalorian armor looked out toward Sundari now within reach. The helmsmen panicking next to him exclaimed. “Captain, we lost, what purpose is blasting that place will do? Malinkar will...

Suddenly the captain grabbed his lieutenant by the collar and shouted. “Malinkar failed us! He promised to keep his people off our backs and look what’s happening. He is not even around, no doubt pretending to be ruler on his pathetic throne somewhere.”

Throwing the frightened helmsman away the captain added.

“Might as well hit these bucket head savages where it hurts including Malinkar. Prepare bombardment we don’t have much time.”

Just as he said that the bridge door suddenly exploded behind him, knocking the captain face first to the floor. Smoke filled the bridge before the Mandalorians rushed firing their weapons and the remaining Nagai returned fire in desperation.

Srucayr would enter through the smoke, bolts from any pirates standing pinging off of his beskar or the shield. The closest pirate would catch a shield bash to the floor, before the Mandalorian brought the base of the shield downward on the neck, severing it. Leaving the shield where it lay, his boots activated a quick burst that sent him hurtling towards the Captain.

Landing beside the Captain, Sru would roll beneath a wave of blaster fire from some guards before he recovered and aimed the pick side of his warpick at the Captain's midsection with enough force to puncture the armor on a hit.

Caught up in her anger, there was no real finesse in the way Reiel exectued the enemy pirates that were unfortunate enought to be on the receiving end of her new blasters. She nodded at Minerva and followed her fellow Mandalorians on their way to the bridge.

The smallest Mandalorian in the group followed after her vode, picking her targets to be interrogated. Finding two Nagai pirates who were attempting to flee, Reiel lowered her aim and shot both on one leg each. She approached them, shooting one pirate on the shoulder when he attempted to retaliate and throwing one of her vibroknives at the other and hitting this one on the hand, the blade embedding on the console the pirate was holding on to. Blasters now aimed at them, Reiel's helmeted head tilted to the side as she regarded the new prisoners with cold disdain.

The fighting going around did not concern her. In a few short moments, the rest of the Nagai pirates would be wiped out, she was sure of that. And now, with two pirates under her careful watch, Reiel knew that this corvette would now belong to the Mandalorians.

"Where are you two going?"
she mocked the two injured scum. Reiel hadn't even begun torturing and yet one of the two pirates was already crying. "Can't leave the party so soon, you two. We haven't started playing twenty quesrions yet."

Minerva rolled inside, dodging enemy shots, before blasting the helmsman and another pirate with her rifle. Before she could even pull the trigger, the rest of the bridge crew were already dead or captured. Looking around for a moment she nodded, clearly impressed with her comrades.

Glancing out at the viewpoint displaying ruined Sundari Minerva bowed her head. They had spared it further destruction at least for today. Turning to Armand she remarked. “Best to check on your kin back in the cargo hold.”

“Oh don’t worry she’s too stubborn to die.” The Wren warrior replied before running back that way.

Sighing Minerva then commented to Srucayr and Reiel. “I’ll inform the others of our success. Do what you must, my vode.” With that she sent a coded message to the team on Concordia, updating their situation.
