The senator gave his speech and the Jedi responded. She took the words out of his mouth: "We wont be much use with these supplies if we're buried in a pile of rubble." He looked down at his flak jacket under his coat, to check it was done up properly. This was more habit than precaution - given the strength of what was causing the ground to shake, the only use it might have would be to keep his organs all in one place if anyone wanted to do scientific research on the effect of heavy munitions on the human body. Reluctantly he took cover, resting his right elbow on a nearby large storage container.

Ray spoke into his communicator: "We have company here: keep the engine running"

Moments later there was another roar and the ground shook again. They would be through the outer door. The men on the gantry and guarding the door were their first and last line of defence now.

He looked over to Doghus: "That might be our cue!"

Doghus was intrigued by the level-headedness of his companions. In reality, Doghus tough talking was mostly out of a sense of blind bravery rather than strategy. Nevertheless, it was Doghus' belief that they had to do something to help the rebels. When the floor rocked again, and the door came down, the stormtroopers began pouring in. Doghus to his companions, first at RED, and then to Kaylara. The droid seemed to be in a state unease, looking for any way to safe Doghus and the others. The droid last remark seemed hapless, and so Doghus annoyinlgy said: "Well. So much for that idea." He looked at Ray last, and for a moment they locked eyes. When Ray spoke, Doghus nodded. " I Believe it is." He looked over at RED again, and then to Boc, who was busy trying to command his troops. " RED, tell Boc to hold back. Tell him to utilise the warehouse's layout. Turn any boxes and crates if they have to." After that, Doghus looked back to the troopers. bolts of fire widdled back and forth.

A few moments later, Doghus made a decision. "Rey, you're with me. See if there's a way to fly the ship as close to the warehouse as possible. In the meantime, RED, I need you to maintain a comm-link, in case there's any trouble. Kaylara, see if you can do anything to distract the troopers." Doghus began to notice he was giving commands, rather more bluntly than he ought to. If anything, Kaylara was a Jedi Knight, and as such, technically outranked Doghus. And even Rey, as a captain, had more rank than Doghus. However, Doghus thought, for the sake of the situation, those privileges would go away with. Doghus' thoughts were stopped by a sudden blast, missing him only nearly. Doghus nodded one more time, and said: " All right. Let's go."

Doghus hurried towards Rey, As RED showed the two the way out. Then, Doghus began running. Despite his age, he could not help but feel kind of like an young boy, running from danger. Doghus had a few seconds to look back. And then, he saw him.

From behind the troopers, a single men emerged. A men, dressed in officer clothings. And when Doghus looked closer, it became even clearer. A General. And not just any General. Alexei Petrov, the "Conqueror of Serenno". But to Doghus' knowledge, the General was relieved of his duties after failure on Serenno. Yet, Doghus knew what it meant to have the general appear here. Alexei was not out to kill, but to capture the Jedi, and quite possibly, himself. Doghus looked, with a worried look, to Rey. "These are no ordinary soldiers. These are the "Spectres". This does not bode well for us." And indeed, the blasting fire of the troopers continued, as more and more fell to the attackers.

Doghus could only hope, at this moment, that they would make it out alive. He immedately torn of that thought, but was aware of the fidelity of that thought. Survival was their first instinct for now.

As Doghus gave his orders RED-2 turn on its recorder taking 3d imaging with sound of everything going on. Turing to Doghus as he spoke to RED-2 “I need you to maintain a comm-link, in case there's any trouble.” The droid link all there communications devices together though its communications system. “Yes Master Doghus I have a link to all of your comm-links.” replied the droid. As the battle intensified red tried to stand be side Doghus just in case he had use its self as a shield. Leading the way As they stepped in to the corridor red was loosening track of who was who the walls were giving him problems on detecting the invading troops. RED-2 looked back to see them advancing he took a good look at there faces to record them. He turning foreword to focuses his sensors in front they turned down some corridor.

It was a substantial challenge to protect the somewhat slow moving Senator from the building that was crumbling around them. As they hurried out, Kara was using the force to create cover for them, and the smugglers still left behind; moving the large crates and pieces of rubble into suitable positions. The Jedi knew they needed to hasten their pace, as the building began to crumble around them; before long the whole structure would be collapsed. They approached a small opening in the wall, signaling the tunnel which would get them out of the warehouse. Kara listened to Doghus' orders and turned around with him to see the incoming troopers and their general. The Jedi was familiar with both the Spectre division and their commander, Petrov. She groaned internally knowing that their task had become increasingly more complicated.

Petrov's reputation proceeded him; Kara knew his modus operandi was to capture as many Jedi as he could, and she had known many of her colleagues to befall that terrible fate, never to be seen or heard from again. Her face as stoic as her piercing blue eyes, the Jedi ignited her saber and prepared to 'distract' the troopers while the others escaped. Rushing to the side, Kara was doing her best to both attack the troopers that were streaming in at them, while also trying to protect the smugglers who were trying to get out. It was not proving to be an easy task. The Jedi moved swiftly around the room deflecting fire, and engaging in combat with the well equipped Spectres. Her battle style was graceful to the extreme, ducking, and dodging artfully while using the saber in her hand as an extension of her being.

laster in hand, Alexei scans the inner warehouse for a mark, only instead to lock eyes with an old man retreating into an unknown exit. A Jedi, no doubt, or nonetheless, a man of importance. Why else would one so worn and venerable linger so deep in the heart of a smuggler’s den? Well, whatever the stranger sought to do today, the General remains cocksure to put it to an end. And like the Ithorian resistance, desperate and hopeless in a battle against Imperial forces, they would all hang from the rafters. At least, if their bodies still remained in one piece.

Plasma flickers past him. A vagrant grenade fissures into a ball of fire and light. The building shakes. “General Petrov,” a faint voice through his comm echoes, “The warehouse cannot handle this kind of combat. At the rate it goes, it will collapse at any minute. Proceed with caution, sir.

Noted,” he says, indifferent and without care. He directs his pulse rifle in direction to several resistance fighters perched behind cover. “Let’s speed things up then, shall we?” In an instant, he unleashes a thermal explosive from the attached launcher, shattering the crate and neighboring men in its wake. “Now, that’s more like it.

However, his passion does not truly shine until he catches the cerulean glow of a lightsaber. At last, the Jedi reveals themselves.

Get her! Now!” He clamors, and the soldiers follow suit. A number of them advance onto her, but the woman’s nimble, strangely balletic, battle style proves unyielding. Several men fall to her rhythmic attacks, and soon, Alexei's passion turns into rage. “I’ll do it myself, then!

Now with both hands, he begins rapidly firing in direction to the Jedi. Unbeknownst and completely forgotten to him, however, stands the fact that she acts merely as a distraction, just as the rest of her companions retreat into a separate passage for a clever escape.

Won't be able to make a post until late Friday, unless y'all throw up responses before Monday morn. And as this isn't a legitimate PvP, at least as I've said and been told, then a time-out/insta-kill shouldn't be of issue. Sorry if this causes an inconvenience. But if need be, I can shite out posts mobile.

Ray was happy for Doghus to give the orders: he was a landie, this was his turf. However, as he made his retreat he was torn between his sense of self preservation and his mesmeric fascination with their Jedi guardian.

In the end, he broke off from the fleeing group to station himself to one side up against a doorway, blaster pistol in his right hand, taking the odd pot shot. This was the first time Ray had seen a Jedi fighting, the grace belying the slaughter that she was wreaking amongst the Imperial troopers.

Smugglers flooded past him as they made their escape.

Doghus looked to Alexei for a few more seconds, and then turned to Kaylara, who used the Force to assemble her lightsaber. Doghus had only seen a Jedi fight once before in his life, but never before did he see a lightsaber being created in action. With a soft hiss, Kaylara's lightsaber ignited, which awed Doghus. And not him alone.

The almost artistic movements of Kaylara, dispatching multiple storm-troopers, seemed nearly unreal to Doghus. However, there was little time to look at Kaylara, as more and more smugglers fell on their side. Also, Doghus saw, Alexei began moving forward. This was the time to make their escape. With RED's guidance, they walked further down the corridor, while Kaylara remained behind to cover them.

This troubled Doghus, as he knew that Alexei would stop at nothing to capture any Jedi. As he looked back, in the distance, Kaylara continued her fighting, however she was being pushed back by Alexei. With an almost exhausted voice from his old age, he tried to yell. "Kaylara! Get out of there!" He looked back to his other two companions, as RED was guiding them to the end of the tunnel. Doghus turned to Rey, as he asked: " We're gonna need a quick exit. The ship should be here by now." He looked back one last time, and saw to his relief that Kaylara indeed made her escape as well. Suddenly Doghus spotted something, and asked to RED: " RED? See if you can close the blast doors behind her. That will give us some time." Doghus began breathing slower again, as it appeared the worst was over. It also gave him a unpleasant thought. "This won't be the last we see of Petrov, I'm afraid." He looked troubled, and looked to RED again.

RED turned, as told it walk near the blast doors he waited for the Jedi to enter the room. It had been 50 years from the last time it had seen a Jedi. the droid thought for a moment Master Mung that was the Jedi it had seen. The droid moved to the side of the door ready to close it. A small arm extended from it's body ready to be used to weld the door shut.

RED saw her coming and the blaster fire was intents. RED look back at the others as some fire their weapons to covered her escape. RED looked over the door it seem operational RED reached up and pushed on the wall panel, but here was nothing. the droid looked up and saw the light were out "There is no power to the doors Master Doghus, I will have to close it manually." RED yells over the weapons fire.

The droid turns around and looks down the wall. RED starts to walking along the wall it then stops at a panel. RED reaches up and opens it there was a bar and a circular like handle to place the bar in. RED quickly garbed the bar and inserted it. with a good twist the bar and circular mechanism started to turn. the blast doors started to close slowly. The droid knew it was all about the timing. It just had to wait for the Jedi to step though and it would have the doors shut at the same time.

Kara's blonde hair whipped around as she turned quickly to see Petrov begin to fire at her. Deftly using her lightsaber, and the surrounding debris, she was able to deflect and dodge the incoming lasers; the force of which, however, began to push her backwards. She very much wanted to engage in combat with the Imperial lackey and struggled slightly to contain her emotions knowing the amount of destruction he had brought upon the Jedi. However, their main purpose was to escape with as many smugglers as they could, setting up another fight on a later date. Battles and Wars, she thought silently to herself, He will meet his downfall.....one day.

Kara heard Doghus call out to her and looked around to find she was one of the few still remaining in the rapidly crumbling warehouse. Using the force to throw a large section of the wall in front of her, she ran backwards, jumping through the closing blast doors, panting slightly. "I think its time to go" she offered, in between breaths.

ara moves gracefully. Her pale locks, sinuous and flowing. Her deflections, fluid and smooth. Although Alexei sees the Jedi only as another group of cultists stalling his rise to power, he cannot deny the energy and strength they brought with them. Formidable enemies, no doubt. Enemies, he believed, would submit to his force. Now fueled in his attacks, the General begins to push the female Jedi back, hoping to force her into a corner for capture. He could only imagine the esteem and recognition he would receive for such a feat— a promotion? A nod from the Emperor himself?

Perhaps the information he might squeeze out of her would act as the downfall of the Order, and the stepping stone to his ascension.

However, she surmounts his assault, throwing a wall in front of her before retreating with her companions. Alexei attempts to follow in suit, only to be caught by his own troops. “General Petrov, sir— the building, it’s collapsing! We need to get you out of here, now!” At first, he resists their pleas, teeth grinding in rage. “There is no escape from the Empire! From me! Never!” He roars, right before the blast doors to the smuggler's escape slides to a close.

Meanwhile, the troops pull the General out of the warehouse, rushing for the airship outside. Pillars fall. Walls collapse. Chunks of rock crush on racing soldiers. And just as the main wing of the building caves in, Alexei vaults into the open air— free, and alive.

He would finish what he had started today. On his honor, on his name, on his reputation: they would fall.

As Doghus asked after the ship, Ray put his blaster back down the back of his belt and joined the crush of people heading down the corridor. He punched his com:
"Dolly, where are you?"

"Looking for you - where is your exit?"

Ray looked around helplessly. They were in a long underground corridor. In the excitement of the escape, he had lost track of how many corners they had turned. He stopped, grabbing a smuggler running alongside:
"Where does this corridor lead?"
The boy, who was not more than 15 looked back blankly in terror. Ray dropped him, saying "sorry."

His com crackled to life: "I can see a mob spilling into the streets, south of where the imperial goons are, that must be you - coming in."

Doghus panted as the corridor was nearing the exit. As RED carefully closed the doors, Kara ran towards them in an attempt at avoiding the building falling down on her. Doghus saw it as well. There was a non-stopping rumbling coming from the other end of the corridor, where they had made their escape from. And then, even the roof of their escape tunnel began to shake and crumble. Ray picked aside a boy to ask him directions. The crude manner seemed harsh to Doghus, but understandable considering their situation. Doghus was relieved when Ray dropped him again, and apologised.

Doghus looked at the boy as they stood for a few moments, but decided to put their own safety first. As several smugglers made their escape with them, light emerged at the end of the tunnel. That was when Ray's comm-link buzzed again, signalling the arrival of their ship. Doghus was relieved as it became confident that they would make it out alive. " RED, tell me how far it is." They were in the tail end of the escaped smugglers, and then Doghus saw it.

Ray's ship was moving in fast as it could, to capture the four companions. The group made it to the end of the tunnel, and Doghus panted and sighed heavily as he finally could stop running. But Doghus had a resolute idea. " We will not leave without these men. They and their comrades have risked their lives for our safety. They deserve to be heard by the Council. Ray, lead the way." He looked then to Boc, who was still alive, however badly injured. Doghus turned to RED-1, and said: "RED? You and I will look after the survivors, see who's worst of. We have got to safe as many as possible to get them to Dantooine." Doghus looked then at the building, which, with a final breath, tumbled into the ground. " Let's get these people inside, now." While Doghus was old, he felt it compulsory to offer some support for the injured.

The droid finished its welds on the door and ran to reach the others. RED looked at the group and new that the injured had to be dealt with. RED heard master Doghus ask " RED, tell me how far it is." Looking RED range sensors told the droid. "Master Doghus, 50 meters and 60 seconds to the claps of the building" RED yelled over all the noises. As the ship was coming in RED pulled out two fold out stretchers. the droid got the two worst injured on them. he got one of its med kits out the Blaster burns were bad the chard skin show 3 degree burns. and still bleeding he got a fome spray and filled the area with it then applied a pressure bandage. then shot him with a cylinder of pain killer. RED had to repeat this over and over on the different injured people.
