His tribe was a nomadic one, and it's members would be left behind if they couldn't hold their own. This prompted Morou to start his training as a warrior at the age of seven. He excelled quickly and he was put to work, helping to fend off the various dangerous beasts indigenous to Uba IV. With time, Morou's skills rapidly improved. He was a good fighter and a great tracker by the age of fifteen. The lifestyle was challenging but it was one that Morou was accustomed to. However, he wanted more out of his life than just survival.
Like countless Ubese warriors before him, Morou decided to take to the stars. At the age of eighteen, he and his sister Vexa joined up with a small group of mercenaries. The group was comprised of six Ubese in total and they traveled the galaxy picking up contracts where they could. Their main goal was to bring honor to their people whilst getting rich in the process. The group started out doing freelance mercenary work but soon branched out into bounty hunting. They gained enough fame to get recognized by the Hutt Cartel.
With time the group got bolder and began to take on more dangerous targets. They were ambitious, but it would be their downfall. The Ubese had moderate success over the years. Their success was enough to get them noticed by a few shady individuals. One such person gave them a contract to capture a Republic diplomat. The mission was the most dangerous one they had yet, but they knew the payout was worth it. Unbeknownst to Morou at the time, his crew's employer was a Jedi Exile. Also unbeknownst to him, the Exile's information was faulty. He'd been fed misinformation in an attempt to lure him out.
The bait worked but they caught the wrong fish. Morou and his crew walked straight into a trap. A trio of Jedi had been lying in wait, hoping to ambush the Exile. The group was outmatched as they had no experience fighting force sensitive warriors. They fought bravely but had no chance. Morou had to watch as his team was cut down one by one. He and his sister managed to escape by injuring one of the Jedi. They did not make it out unscathed, however. Morou sustained multiple light injuries and his sister was fatally wounded. He returned to Uba IV with his sister's body and laid low for a couple years. After he felt he'd waited long enough, he reached out to his Hutt contacts and began doing bounty hunting solo. Now Morou hopes to gain money and fame so that he may one day hunt down the people responsible for the death of his comrades.

A strong and ferocious warrior, Morou is capable of great violence. In fact, he revels in it. There's a certain enjoyment he gets out of fighting. He's a thrill seeker so he's addicted to the adrenaline one gets when in life or death situations. If there's no danger then Morou can't truly enjoy the experience to the same extent. Combat has been a part of his life for so long that he almost can't live without it. His thrill seeking nature also leads him to other risky pursuits such as gambling.
Following the trend of his species, Morou is strongly xenophobic. He believes the Ubese are superior to other species in the galaxy and has no qualms showing his bias. However, his level of bias is dependent on the species in question. He can tolerate humans and other near-human species but the more exotic (and for lack of a better word "alien") species are regarded with more disdain. His xenophobia tends to make him more ruthless and motivated when hunting down species he considers inferior (which is pretty much all of them). His xenophobia leads him to have a natural trust and camaraderie with other members of his species. It simultaneously makes it harder for non-Ubese to earn his trust as he has a natural dislike of them.
There is an aura of confidence about Morou. He has faith in his own abilities and would rather trust them than the ability of others. This leads him to usually work alone as he doesn't like putting his life in the hands of others. Morou's confidence can easily turn to arrogance when combined with his xenophobia. He can often underestimate non-Ubese opponents as he doesn't believe they are on par with him until they prove it.
Morou is a technophile, through and through. He has a strong love for machines and is always quick to adopt new technology. Over the years, Morou has become a connoisseur of sorts. He's constantly looking to update his gear and teaching himself about new tech. In his spare time, Morou likes to tinker with things. He enjoys cracking things open to see how they work.
