MAIN FACTION BATTLE PLANNING!

Bandomeer:

1. Securing Offworld Corp execs safety
2. Pushback initial GAR assault on commandos snuck on planet by Offworld
3. Hit GAR headquarters
4. Fleet arrives, dogfight thread
5. Something?

1.
This started with a promise. In the earliest days of the Dominion, their plans to expand began, with little regard for the Republic, and far from it's prying eyes.

Director Grenick Tenuse of Offworld Mining met with Prime Minister Almec's right hand, Nalu Fibuna, and came to terms. The Mandalorian Dominion is not only a prime stock holder in Offworld, but has monopolized their exports since the arrangement was made. Right behind the Republic's back, their chief source of ionite was 'undermined' by insider trading, and now Offworld and it's officers are hiding safely behind a wall of beskar soldiers.

Furthermore, since the arrangement was made, the Dominion has freely used Offworld's facilities to infiltrate Bandomeer, and slowly establish a military presence under the premise of negotiating tensions with the Mining Union. Now Bandomeer is occupied, the first all out battleground between the Dominion and the Republic, and Grenick Tenuse's traitorous hands are red.

True to their word, the Dominion has fortified Offworld Mining Co's flagship facility, and has the executives they swore to protect under lock and key until evac is available.

If they escape the conflict, so does the Republics chance of putting them on trial.

2. Upon arrival the Mandalorians dug their heels in to Bandomeer, literally. For months, they were able to operate with relative invisibility, quelling resistance seizing territory, and keeping the Union rebels under tight watch; able to spring up from seemingly nowhere, and disappear soon after. The ground zero for their occupation has now been revealed, the mines.

If the GAR intends to uproot the current occupation, they must flush the tunnels. Offworld snuck the early Dominion troops in through its underground network. If the tide of this fight is to truly turn, it must be brought into the light of day.

3. During the days of the Border Alliance Bandomeer was the center of their operations and helped direct their war effort alongside Mandalore. Now, the "Grand Army" of the Republic use it for much the same purpose as its forward location near the Sith border makes it an ideal place to coordinate their front lines. This makes it an irresistible target for our attack forces now that we are relieving the Republic of Bandomeer's security and safety; liberating the installation from the Republic will allow the Dominion to make use of it in the coming days to great effect. It will give Mandalore a key facility not only to secure its borders and help manage the defense of the Dominion, but also coordinate its expansion and help direct the wars which we will face in the near future.

First, however, we must liberate it from the incompetent Republic which squanders its use. The Mandalorian Legion has landed on the planet to help with the liberation; help the 1st Assault Phalanx oust the Republic defenders from the installation. We do not expect the defenders here to give up lightly, you should know what to do. Destroy any resistance that presents itself and kill the Republic leaders if they do not retreat like the cowards they are, or surrender to our superior force. Victory will garner you accolades and honor, defeat will bring shame to your house and clan. Take the Grand Army's HQ at all costs and show these civilized types what it is like to taste a Mandalorians fury!

4. Our fleet, while currently small, is both advanced and experienced with the tenacity and strength known only to us Mandalorians. The Republic's fleets, while numerically superior, will be used to fighting against Sith combat doctrines; many of our officers once served in the Border Alliance and know quite well the weaknesses of their tactics and naval paradigms: we will use this to our advantage. We will show these tired and war-weary peace-lovers what it is like to fight against the genius and skill of the Dominion's navy now that they have been unshackled by Republic laws and procedures.

Once our naval forces engage whatever defenses are in orbit around Bandomeer our star fighter wings will take to the void to assist. While our strategy will allow our larger ships to move in and engage the Republic Navy in piecemeal, we will need our fighter craft to provide area denial and protection against the Republic's own star fighters. As most of our larger ships will be engaged in the combat, they will be vulnerable to the lighter and nimbler one-man fighters which could evade their weapons. Help lead our CAP in defense of our capital ships from Republic fightercraft while our warships push for a swift and decisive naval action from the start aiming to destroy the fleet's command ship. Bring honor for the Dominion warriors! For Mandalore!

For months, they were able to operate with relative invisibility, quelling resistance seizing territory, and keeping the Union rebels under tight watch; able to spring up from seemingly nowhere, and disappear soon after. While the Gar press for advantage in the small tunnels, it is up to the Dominion Legions to hold onto the advantage of their narrow caverns. If the subterranean headquarters is given up, the GAR will have secured a very strong foothold in the effort to reclaim Bandomeer. Though the primary occupied tunnels are reinforced (no collapsing) they are long, narrow, and maybe 20 meters high at their zenith. The rare rock jetty may offer some cover, but not forever, and not against everything.

1v1

This is hardly and Isolated challenge. The goals of the Dominon is expanded boarders, and with Bandomeer all but completely under their control they have been able to stage the other fronts of this all out offensive for the sector.

Outside of Celanon is one of this region's primary hyperspace lanes, the Celanon Spur. Control of this route would deal an additional economic blow to the Republic, as well as greatly influence the tide of this war. Can the struggling GAR Fleet hold this crucial passage, or will Mandalore soon clear yet another path to glory?

The Dominion fleet is still modest, but advanced; and with the tenacity and strength known only to Mandalorians. The Republic's fleets, while numerically superior, are used to fighting against Sith; many Mandalorians served in the Border Alliance and know quite well the weaknesses of their tactics and naval paradigms. This will not be a conflict easy to predict, and will surely come down to every last dogfight that can be had.

4.

1v1

The world of Dathomir dark jungles supply yet another front for the Dominion's offensive. Lush with mystery and exotic resources, not the least of which is an abundant supply of notoriously lethal fauna to take advantage of. One can only imagine what Mandalorians would discover if they turned Dathomir into their hunting grounds.

The native Dathomiri are no strangers to the rule of the Sith, but they only begrudgingly joined with the Border Alliance being the last major member world to join the coalition. We shall offer their leaders a choice: join us in our glorious new Dominion or join the sinking Republic as we burn every Republic world in the sector. Ensure that our diplomats and the leaders of Dathomir are not stopped by Republic supporters.

5.

1v1

The world of Ord Cestus has long been the anchorage for a medical triage center in orbit. The large space station serving as a hospital and urgent care center for those injured on planets with poor medical care and as a front line facility for the wounded of the Republic's war with the Sith. Now with our aggressive expansion beginning it is time for us to claim this space station and use it for our own ends. Posing as a team of injured Republic soldiers you will board the space station and initiate a hostile takeover in the name of the Dominion.

Good starts. For proposals they suffice though when you do the opening posts I would suggest immersing them more with the participants, like I had done in Trials of Heroes. Making it more impactful to the war story and the personal stories.

Was the Offworld corp vs. Union plot done during the missions?

Yes. The missions involved provoking the Union Conflict, as a means to justify our early occupation of the world.

Intro: As the Republic falters and grows weak under its own stagnant size, and as the rioting which we incited against Offworld Mining peaks, it is time to begin our offensive against the corrupt and ineffectual galactic government. Our first step is to secure the border world of Bandomeer from the Republic, and from there use that as a stepping stone for our campaign against the our enemies.

Battle 1: The War in Heaven

With recent Sith offensives showing that the nascent Empire has eschewed the typical offensive strategies that defined the earlier parts of the war and launching attacks and raids against key Republic worlds like Coruscant and Chandrila, the Galactic Government has been forced to pull its fleets away from the border to protect key systems and sectors. One such world is Bandomeer with the headquarters of the former Border Alliance. Now that it has had much of its naval defenses pulled away it is ripe for the taking. Launching a surprise attack against the Republic garrison, our small navy shall show not only the Republic, but the Galaxy, that the Dominion is no faction to be trifled with and that we are a galactic power how to be feared.

Using the bulk of our forces we shall engage the Republic in ship-to-ship fighting in low orbit, dogfights in debris fields, and ensuring that our warriors reach the surface to continue the fight there. Our warriors will lead fighter groups, boarding parties, and the bulk of our navy in a daring and tenacious assault against the Republic Navy where the sheer ferocity of our sudden attack will overwhelm the defenders. It will become evident to all that the skill of the Mandalorian clans is just as strong and potent as ever. We will burn the Republic defenses, winning honor and glory for ourselves, our clans, and our Dominion. All will bear witness to our superior skill, cunning, and tenacity by claiming a victory which will be sung for generations as the first conquest of the unified Mandalorian clans.

Battle 2: The Scouring of Bandomeer

Taking the skies won't mean anything if the Dominion cannot control the ground, and what better way to demonstrate our superiority than by taking the headquarters of the former Border Alliance. The headquarters is the seat and symbol of Republic power and of their unyielding spirit against the Sith. We are going to take it, destroying the symbol of their pathetic power and breaking their spirit. If we can rout the defenders here, taking key command and control facilities and assets, not just for Bandomeer, but for the entire sector, then the Grand Army will be handed a disadvantage they will not easily be able to recover from. This will allow us to expand rapidly into Republic space as their own response will be hampered.

Our advanced teams will already be on the ground before the battle begins; they have been smuggled on-world by our mining friends under the guise that we plan to deal with the rioting workers. These teams will soften the area around the headquarters for the main assault by the bulk of the army coming with the fleet. Together we will show Mandalorian superiority and dominance as we storm the headquarters and wipe out the defenders. Let those who escape bare witness to skill as warriors and tell the tales of our ruthless, tenacious efficiency; how we live for the glory and thrill of combat, and relish the chaos it brings so that their spirits will be crushed and their morale will be swept away like a flag in the breeze at the mere news of our approach.

3rd story Battle. Sealed and Delivered.

It was only a matter of time.

The Republic had gone on for years walking the dangerous line between too much control, and not enough. First the Sith recognized the weakness, and profited for their foresight. As war often does, the progression of the Sith Empire only created more opportunity for those with the courage to seize it. A Republic pressed back on it's heels now faces it's second front: The Mandalorian Dominion.

For some time, the Dominion has been expanding steadily in the outer rim, but now the careful work of half a dozen covert campaigns has brought them poised to fulfill their destiny. Once the legendary prowess of Mandalorians was taken for granted by the Galactic Senate, and forced to supply the wall against Sith expansion, so it is only fitting that the Dominion's first conquest be the former headquarters of the Border Alliance. Legions of bes'kar are already deeply entrenched in the mines of Bandomeer, and the fleets even now secure the skies. Yes, Bandomeer's fate will be decided, but hopefully not without a fight.

Meanwhile, brazen as ever, the Mandalorian's have launched a third offensive on the other side of the sector. Celanon City is a thriving metropolis rivaling any in the core worlds, both in size and commerce. Furthermore, it is the crux of the Celanon Spur, one of the outer rim's most celebrating hyperspace lanes. Mandolorian Commandos now flood the City from every port, and in some cases even rain from the sky. Celanon has been caught completely by surprise, and without warning look up to see a world surrounded by heavy cruisers bearing the flag of the Dominion. This assault will be messier than Bandomeer for certain, but it's clever purpose could not be more clear. While Bandomeer is secured on one end, control of Celanon's commerce and the Spur guarantee the Dominion control of the entire quadrant, and steals Ord Cestus, and Dathomir from the crippled Republic as well....

....then the rest of the dominoes will begin to fall.

Glory to Mandalore.
