Death and destruction had filled the arena only one day prior to what was about to happen next. Grug had moved on to the second round of the matriarch's tournament. He was one step closer to taking the title away from that villainous brute. The Gamorrean Jedi would save these people or die trying. It wasn't his tie to them from childhood that spurred him onward so much as the Jedi spirit of serving the people. He no longer felt like he belonged among the clan. That much was certain.

"Am here." Grug grunted, greeting the gamorreans guarding the gate.

Without a word the guards opened the way for Grug. The arena was still massive but had been divided into two sections. One section would host Grug and his opponent while the other pair fought on the other side. Winners would then get the whole arena for a championship battle. The crowds had grown it seemed as this was where the real fights went down. A keen eye showed Grug that the matriarch herself was again watching in person. Grug made his entrance with the same equipment as always. Jubba would still have the rifle, but the rest was with the Gamorrean Jedi. A lightsaber, a vibro-choppa, and his jedi dueling armor with repairs made since the last bout the day before.

"Murktwu," he would greet as his opponent stepped into the ring. "Wish good fight."

The crowds had indeed grown vastly with the promise of brutal violence and the up and coming challenger aptly named 'Grug' had seemingly caught the eye of both the Matriarch and Murktwu alike. The stands were packed with bloodthirsty Gamorreans who had come to see Murktwu destroy the little upstart or as some in the crowd had come to believe, to see Murktwu be brought down by the new Grug.

Grug's opponent had not been idle himself, the big bad Murktwu was a well-known brawler on Gamorr and his reputation for dirty tricks preceded him. In the first round of the tournament, he had viciously bitten his opponents face while their fight had gone down into the mud. Blood and Mud covered up the injury and his opponent shortly after went down much to the squealing delight of the crowd. Today would be no different Murktwu felt, he just had to put down the little runt and then take a shot at the champion before it would be all his for the taking.

Murktwu had two large vibro-choppa attached to his belt while he held onto a specially designed spear of his. This spear for all intents and purposes was identical to a vibro-spear but upon impact, the weapon would provide a stunning discharge that would short the weapon out turning it into a regular spear but not before shocking the target heavily.

Murktwu grunted aggressively and cheered up the crowd as the fight was about to start, he was ready and had no intention of losing to this outsider turned prodigal son.

"Good when Grug dead." he shot back quickly but venomously with a large grin on his face.

Grug was not surprised to find that this opponent was a bit of a jerk. Everyone had spoken of him as some big brute wanting to take over so he could conquer more tribes. It was just another blood hungry warrior seeking to further the conflicts on Gamorr. The Jedi had taught Grug to move beyond those ways and try a new life. This planet did not need more suffering. This planet needed Grug's help. An outsider would be eaten alive, likely literally, but Grug could do something to push change before the Hutt Cartel claimed the world as some slave supply world. Many already came here to do so anyways. Grug was the result of a slave trade gone wrong.

"Bring no joy kill you, but will." He grunted, not even reaching for a weapon yet.

Rather than engage in a long, bloody battle that would entertain the crowd, the Gamorrean Jedi decided to try for a quicker end. His opponent had worn his two vibrochoppa at the belt which was fine for facing the usual tournament foes. A Jedi was no usual foe. Grug's hands simply made a quick jerk at the wrists to fuel a powerful manipulation of the weapons on Murktwu's belt. Both choppas would push in hard towards the Gamorrean brute's legs with enough power to remove them both. If the dumb brute could even realize what was coming, he would have to drop the spear to stop both of them from inflicting a horrifying wound. An undeterred version of the attack would see to a legless Murktwu bleeding out quickly. Grug was fine with either result. A quick death was preferred but losing that spear would make life easier too.

Murktwu grunted with delight as the spear in his hands whirled in a flash into a throwing position and was launched as a projectile toward Grug's mid-chest with the intent to mercilessly impale him if he remained concentrated on his force attack. As previously mentioned the illegally modified weapon would unleash a nonlethal but savage electrical discharge into whatever it struck.

Once released, Murktwu would grab both choppa's in each hand while sprinting forward with bloodlust to cross the 20 meters that were between the two of them with the intent to strike both weapons against both Grug's shoulders, one each. They would be held in front of him for the sprint and used to make an attack as the blades would not go much above shoulder height during the attack. Instead, his attacks would rely on brute force to push against any defense that Grug would make.

It seemed this brute liked to jump into quickly as well. Grug didn't have time to fully injure his foe before having to move to one side quickly to dodge the spear. By this time the foe had drawn his vibro choppas for a charge. At least Grug's goal was accomplished and the spear was out of the picture for now. Energy was ready to go but now he had to change where it was going. 20 meters was not super far and would be covered in no time so Grug had to act quickly. Size did not matter when it came to the force and even if it did a single person was not hard to toss.

A grunt escaped from Grug as he thrust his arms forward to pick up Murkwu off the ground with the force. In the same movement he also tossed the Gamorrean brute as high into the air as he possibly could. Grug would not be in range of a hit quite yet and would have been doing this as he moved away from the spear. Tossing his foe high into the air would give him time to do many things to prepare if the fall alone did not end the fight.

Murktwu felt impressed as he charged forward and saw Grug move to avoid the incoming spear. The smaller Gammorean would take perhaps only a few hits under his massive weight before succumbing to the greater warrior, or so he thought. Mid-charge Murktwu found himself under the influence of a powerful force which pulled him off the ground and into the air where he was unable to move on his own power which thoroughly confused the poor boar.

Murktwu thrashed at the invisible force chains that lifted him skyward and seemed to find success as the lifting gave way to falling much to his immediate delight, followed by a loud thud.

The large boar found himself landing in a puddle of mud which helped break his fall but in doing so he found himself landing awkwardly on his feet and injuring his right leg although what happened to it was not important to him at this time. Murktwu would stand up and face Grug wherever he was and move in to attack him with both choppas as before.

Cheers and odd squeals could be heard as once again the battle raged. Grug was almost impressed with him. Despite his horrid plans for the clan, Murktwu was a warrior worth some respect. At this point, as the big guy was landing with a thud, Grug ignited his lightsaber and pulled the vibro choppa to his other hand. The Gamorrean Jedi stomped a foot once and by the time his opponent stood up he was now well armed. This would be a quick death as a service.

"Last chance. Give up." A grunting demand was made not that he expected it to be followed.

Grug would either accept the surrender if genuine or continue with a brutal attack. It was easy to notice that his foe hurt his leg and would be weak on that side. If the enemy continued to charge the Jedi would attack that weak side hard with both weapons in a horizontal slash. Lightsaber at chest and vibro choppa at head.

Murktwu may have been injured by the fall but he was not one to give up so easily. Grug would have to inflict some other serious wound to hurt his ability to fight back or just outright kill him to win. Murktwu wasn't the best at judging when he should back down, so naturally, he continued his charge forward to attack.

Murktwu's righthand vibro-choppa was directed to intercept the lightsaber attack from Grug, keeping it away from his body while ducking down to avoid Grug's own choppa. During this ducking, Murktwu would try to bite Grug on the chest, which would maul him and stab his opponent in the right leg with the spare choppa, continuing the momentum that he had earlier.

Grug silently understood that this warrior would die before yielding. The lightsaber met a vibro choppa and his own met the air. Murktwu could play dirty but so could Grug. The bite was incoming but Grug's eyes were on him. It wouldn't be a surprise. What would be a surprise? Grug lifting a finger on his locked up lightsaber would attempt to freeze the enemy in place. It would stop the bite and stop the vibro choppa from hitting his leg.

"Am good fight. Rest in force." He grunted quietly before bringing the choppa that missed a moment ago down towards the Gamorrean's neck.

Murktwu saw a vision of his blade impacting Grug in the thigh and his bite leaving a grievous wound, defeat would be just around the corner and victory his but it was not to be.

While Murktwu was a fearsome warrior, he was at the mercy of the force. Despite the best efforts of Grug, Murktwu's choppa did impact its target although at a greatly reduced speed causing a superficial cut to his skin while just the tip penetrated Grug. In the half second, he was held still, Grug's blade came down violently for Murktwu's neck and connected.

The crowd went silent in anticipation, unsure of who had won the duel of fates before erupting into mass cheering for Grug! the body of Murktwu collapsed at his feet after their short duel and the crowd by now only chanting one name. There would only be one last fight before Grug could claim his prize. The greatest fight that he had ever undertaken, with a worthy prize to match. His opponent would be decided in the parallel match next door, but Grug would have some time to rest and refresh himself before the final duel.
