BIOGRAPHY

Mu'hjar’s origins are a complete mystery. Not even she remembers how exactly she ended up on Chagar IX; it’s likely she was merely born a slave to a mother and father of little value. No longer useful to their masters, the family was sold off as part of a larger congregation to the planet’s fighting pits. The weak would perish, their deaths serving as little more than entertainment for the bloodthirsty spectators this is likely how Mu'hjah lost her parents, and she would have suffered the same fate if not for the intervention of a Tusken Raider overseer.

Su’nil had the habit of collecting the younglings thrown in amongst the pits; in a way, he adopted them and formed his very own ‘tribe’ - not out of love or compassion, but to serve his own self-interest. Though rare amongst the Tusken species, Su’nil possessed a faint connection with the Force; limited in ability, he had been able to utilise the power long enough to have a rather extensive career in the fighting pits. He rose to the rank of overseer and sought to dominate the system by finding others like him, gifted with the Force. He claimed them when they were young and raised them as if they were his own, in the custom of the Tusken people. When the child proved a viable fighter, Su’nil would garb them in his colours and award them with a new name.

Mu'hjah was among his many ‘children’, but only she (and a select few others) had survived long enough to reach adolescence. Life in the fighting pits was hard and brutal, yet it was all the young warrior had ever known…until that fateful day when a battle between Jedi and Sith emerged amongst the pits; no one knew what exactly had brought the two Force users there, but the fighting became so intense, chaos erupted within the pits. Slaves rose up in revolt, all whilst some fighters made a run for freedom. By the time all the spectators had scattered, Mu'hjah would find her adoptive father dead amongst the rest of the fallen; likely made a victim by one of his many rivals.

The rag-tag Tusken-inspired ‘tribe’ faced a decision. Some believed they ought to remain on Chagar IX and honour their overseer’s memory by preserving his legacy amongst the pits. Others, however, were brave enough to venture off-world and seek out a life of their own. Mu'hjah was among them; inspired (and haunted) by the warriors of dark and light, she decided to go out and make her own way in the galaxy, trusting in the Force to guide her on her path.

PERSONALITY

All Mu'hjah has ever known is violence; it is her immediate response when faced with a problem. Her overseer/father figure had instilled in her the brutal doctrine that it was survival of the fittest; the weak must perish, so that the strong may thrive. Despite this, Mu'hjah actually remains largely naive when it comes to the rest of the galaxy; she has seen the seedy underbelly of (what is mockingly called) civilised society - she has not, however, been exposed to much else. New experiences can be both daunting and exhilarating, enough for the human-Tusken to show her youthful exhilaration. For example, she can wield a number of weapons, and be brutal in their use, but she has never before seen or interacted with a Loth cat.

Like many Tuskens, Mu'hjah always keeps her word and despite going their separate ways, she is still very much attached to the family forged within the fighting pits. They even make it a habit of staying in contact, should they need each other’s help. She chooses to remain fully garb in her blue attire and (as per tradition) will never intentionally reveal any part of her face and body.

SKILLS

Mu'hjah is a fierce combatant, proficient in melee weapons and unarmed combat. Preferring a pike, and auxiliary shoto blade, the human Tusken also possesses a sharp shooter’s eye. Though blasters were not often allowed in the fighting arena, Su’nil instilled in all his children the importance of marksmanship. Mu'hjah prepared a long-barrelled blaster rifle, not so dissimilar to that used by the sand people of Tatooine. Upon the death of her adoptive father, Muhjah would also inherit his gaderffii stick.

In terms of Force abilities, the warrior hasn’t had much in terms of formal training. Most of what Muhjah can do has been learnt through painful trial and error. She can use the Force to augment her speed and guide much of her agile dexterity. On more than one occasion, it has acted as a sort of ‘sixth sense’ during times of danger - likely, the human Tusken will continue to experiment with her Force potential, especially since her ability was of great importance to Su’nil, the man who raised her.

Because of her many, many adoptive siblings, Mu'hjah can both speak and understand a number of languages. This includes Galactic Basic, Huttese, Droidspeak and (oddly enough) some Mando’a. Naturally, Mu'hjah understands the Tusken language, but because she can’t physically mimic the vocal barks, grunts and honks, she opts for the sand people’s sign language instead.
