Multiple Characters in Different Factions

I know the timeskip is impending(tomorrow!) but I'm confused on the status of the "two characters in a main faction, can't join another main faction" rule. I have seen the maximum number of characters you can have in an MF is being increased, but I'm still a wee-bit unclear about whether I can have characters in (for example) the Jedi when I already have a character in the Sith. Is it still being implemented that way?

From tomorrow and onward, you can have up to three characters in any factions you want (indie or main).

You are already, under the current rules, able to have characters in different main factions. The rule being changed is that, under the old rules, you could not have more than two characters in main factions, with the third being held for Indies. Now, you could have three characters in main factions, all three in one main faction, etc.
