<... Error: Failed to Reboot Personality Construct ...>

TC-SC 23006 had gotten halfway to the meditation chamber when suddenly the blast door roughly twenty feet in front of it closed. Thirty feet behind him another door closed simultaneously. Kriff these fortress and their hyperfocus on defensive measures and impact compartimentation. The droid stopped for a moment.

The droid's holographic disguise matrix flicked active to reveal an extra layer of... itself. The disguise for Emperor Agorander Automata was this model of the TC-SC Infiltration droid. It moved to the nearest droid-accessible port and accessed it. The entire fortress' camera's were down. Blast doors sealed so there was no one who could witness it doing this.

Danger. Thel had just changed his mind and decided to leave when his senses were alerted. He had no specific idea as to what the threat was. All he had was an anxious feeling in the pit of his stomach. Without warning, the blast doors began to close over the entrances to the throne room. Danger. That same feeling.

Instinctively, he spun around and reached his arm out in the direction of the throne room window. The large metal shutter, that had begun to seal off the window, was frozen in place by the force. His arm shook from the exertion. Suddenly, two more shutters behind the first one started to slide down. Dropping his saber, he reached out with his other arm. The strain from holding the shutters in place forced him to one knee.

Slowly, he pushed back. The shutters began to move upwards; the metal buckled and creaked. Rising back to his feet, every sinew in his body ached.

Up and up. The shutters bent out of shape. With one last effort, he forced the shutters back into the mechanism. Sparks flew from the mechanism as the twisted metal of the shutters broke it.

Thel collapsed to the floor, taking some time to catch his breath. Picking up his saber, he got back onto his feet. The Mustafarians had probably tried to seal off the room in a last-ditch attempt at resistance. He still felt that same sense of danger though. Time to leave. Tempest could look after herself.

Igniting his saber, he smashed the window. Slowly climbing out, all he had to stand on was a small ledge overlooking the drop. They could have built wide instead of tall. There was a larger platform below. If he could reach there, it would be fairly simple to get back to the ground. Seeing that parts of the exterior jutted out, he seized the opportunity. Jumping to the left, he impaled his saber into the obsidian surface. Allowing the blade to slow his descent he gradually slid down closer to the platform. Deactivating the blade, he pushed off from the wall and spun backwards until he gracefully landed on the platform.

The rest of the climb down wasn’t too difficult. Once he was at the base of the fortress, he took time to catch his breath and rest. After standing and checking that things were clear, he set off on his journey back to his ship. He couldn’t see any other Sith. Tempest could comfortably deal with the remaining resistance.
