Before anything else, Nak considers himself a healer. It is something he's dedicated his life to and spent his days training towards as a Padawan. His parents, both Jedi Knights, guided him as such, subtly attempting to keep him from directly participating in the horrors of war. However, what began as innocent protection soon turned into a kind of delusion: anything could be healed with enough time and effort. From the most grievous of wounds to the most broken of psyches.
Perhaps because he has never yet truly experienced suffering beyond being sore after a day's training, he wants others never to have to suffer either. He believes the Light Side of the Force is the realization of this, and that even those who cannot directly connect to the Force can learn from its message. To that end, he has spent his years of training learning the healing arts, wishing to take them to the people who need them most: soldiers, and much to his parents' chagrin, Sith.
However, even the most idealistic and pious of teenagers is still a teenager. While he is driven when it comes to his dream, he would much rather spend a day in bed with music on, contemplating the fantasies swirling through his mind, still unmarred by the harsh influence of reality. He sometimes rebels against the guidance of his teachers and parents, maintaining his innocent ideas in spite of hard evidence that contradicts them. And he still tends to view the world through his lens rather than the lenses of others, finding it difficult to understand why certain people might be suffering when he isn't, hindering his ability to help others without him even realizing it. Maturity isn't his strong suit, simply put.
He has other interests beyond saving and aiding others, that mainly express themselves in the mixes he creates of songs he likes and surfing the Holonet. He tends to keep them to himself, however, not wanting to look like he's too attached to his possessions in front of any Master that might come through looking for someone to knight.
Biography

An only son, born to two Nautolan Jedi Knights at the Stronghold on Dantooine, Nak began his training with his parents as soon as he could walk, as per the Jedi tradition. Though he received occassional input and love from his parents, he was essentially raised by the Order, learning all the basics of becoming a full-fledged Knight. He persevered and excelled in these studies for as long as Nak could remember. However, though he was quite good with a lightsaber and controlling the Force, he never enjoyed their more aggressive applications. He preferred connecting to it spiritually, learning how to enter trances and using it to heal. His teachers noted his interests and indulged them, though he was prevented from slacking in other fields to keep him well-rounded and combat-ready.
It was around when he was 13, still oblivious to most of the things going on in the galaxy at large, that he began to believe he could save the world with enough dedication. Naturally, his parents attempted to council him out of such beliefs, but he just dismissed them as naysayers. They brought it up to some of their colleagues for assistance in determining a way forward for their son. Considering how well he did in everything else, they suggested he become an Initiate.
With some apprehension, he was recommended to begin the process and gain real life experience, away from the sheltered safety of the Dantooine complex. Just after his 16th birthday, after a great many trials, he succeeded in transitioning into the rank of Initiate. Despite his parents worries, Nak couldn't have been happier; finally, he was deemed ready to bring the light to people who needed it.
His beliefs had stood in the face of his greatest fears on Lothal. But only time would tell if they could stand up to the grisly face of war.
