Name that song!

Because I love music and will listen to just about anything, I've decided to start this thread as a way of exposing myself and others to new songs.

Rules: Some one posts the lyrics to a song or a sound clip and someone else tries to guess it. If they get it right, they get to post the next song. If no one gets it right after a full day, the OP gives away the answer and can choose to post another song or let someone else go. Don't look anything up on Google or I will know (because I'm a wizard that can see EVERYTHING ;)). Hints are allowed.

Hints: It's Reggae song. the singer did something to someone, but not to the deputy.

Hint: The singer is in a paradise all right, but she states that such a place is irrelevant if "you're not by my side". I think that makes it pretty clear what "paradise" is to her.
