Andara. Kyi & Aurelie's Cottage. Local time: 19:15
"That should be enough" The girl spoke quietly to herself whilst humming on a calm lullaby she remembered hearing a lot during her time on Ryloth - her father had never really been the lullaby type. The fireplace finally had what she deemed to be enough firewood. With a spark, the thief lit a match and lit a larger stick on fire before throwing the match in. She then proceeded to use the smaller stick to start separate fires in various places. The soft hums ceased for a few moments as she started blowing on the little flames, slowly starting to give it more life. Continuing the Twi'lek lullaby, Aurelie smiled softly as the fire started to have its own life.

It had been a few weeks since they had fought off the two exiles and it had only gotten colder since then. While she did wear a rather large red shirt, the fire would also work to keep the warm. Besides, the sparkling sound the wood made along with the soothing sound of the flames were always a comfort to her. Her eyes drifted over to the table which was covered by different sweets, mainly chocolates, as well as some biscuits and a tray of grapes. A bottle of alcohol free wine stood on the table with two empty glasses next to it. Three candles on top of a plate on the table shone peacefully, making the middle of the room just a little less dark. A bright smile spread across her face as put her hands together "It's perfect!" she said, looking over at Scrappy standing by the door to the kitchen. "If you say so, master" the droid's response was curt, far from how he usually sounded.

"Master, is this really necessary?" he asked, causing her to look him over - the red shirt she had put on him looked good too. "You don't like it?" she asked concerned, saying 'no' to her now would make even the coldest of droids feel guilty. After an unreasonably long response time, Scrappy finally spoke "It limits my combat functionality" which caused Aurelie to let out a light laugh. "It won't come to that" she said, quite confident that she was correct.

Knowing that the man she loved was about to arrive, Aurelie picked up a blanket from the couch and wrapped it around her shoulders. She was about to brave the cold. Before that, she had a quick check on the food in the oven, letting loose the most wonderful aromas as she opened it. With her right hand rubbing softly across her belly, the girl walked to the entrance and took on her boots before heading out. Leaving their warm home wasn't very pleasant as the cold made its presence known at record speeds. She shuddered and pulled the blanket tighter around her shoulders.

At this moment, however, the cold was far from her main concern. While happy and joyful that she'd now get to meet Kyi again, Aurelie was nervous. There were so many things to be nervous about that she barely knew where to start. The closer it got to his arrival, the more of her nervousness started to turn into fear. These feelings would, however, be momentarily swept away as soon as she saw his freckled face after he had swept in with the Malla fighter.

There was no better feeling than when Kyi was on his way to see Aurelie. On his way back from another successful assignment, Kyi's Malla starfighter shot out of hyperspace and Andara came into view through the cockpit, "Whoooo-beep!" Exdee chirped excitedly as he stood on the cockpit's console, bouncing slightly. Kyi let out a light chuckle and patted the XD-unit's head with a soft smile "I'm excited to see them too." he responded while tapping away at the console, and thrusting the flight stick forward and directing the Malla starfighter into Andara's atmosphere.

It had been a few weeks since he had last saw her, since they had survived their encounter with the two exiled Sith, since they had both confessed their love for each other - and at this moment in time, nothing could top that, nothing at all. As he flew his ship through the night's sky toward their cottage on the outskirts of Utare, the feeling of excitement and happiness continued to grow as he was getting closer to the woman he loved. The freckled Jedi Knight began visualising how their night together would go, a small catch up session (he was excited to hear what she had been up to), some dinner and then followed by a relaxing sleep.

Finally, Kyi and Aurelie's cottage came into view, getting bigger every second, seeing his blue-eyed lover waiting for him at a close enough distance. In a matter of seconds, he was hovering over a large patch of grass outside their getaway home - Kyi lowered the starfighter slowly, Exdee began to bounce even more now, becoming increasingly eager to see Aurelie and Scrappy. Landing the Malla just a few feet away from Aurelie, Kyi eagerly removed his flight helmet and didn't even bother to switch clothes, the cockpit's canopy opened slowly but the Jedi and his droid were impatient - Kyi, with Exdee on his back, leapt out of the Malla's cockpit before it fully opened.

Still in his flight suit, Kyi darted toward the woman he loved and hugged her, his lightsaber jangled across his hip with every step he took, lifting her up and spun her around before setting her down, kissing her face multiple times and then leaning in for another hug.
"I missed you, a lot." he said, burying his head against her shoulder, feeling the warm cotton of her red shirt, Exdee beeped excitedly as he climbed on Kyi's shoulder and nuzzled his head and body against Aurelie's blonde hair.

For a brief moment, Kyi sensed something strange - a hint of uneasiness in the blue-eyed thief, as well as... a whisper of the Force within her. However, the freckled Jedi brushed it off as he was too focused on being happy to see his lover right now.

Taking a few jovial steps forth, the girl started laughing happily as he picked her up. It was a welcome change of pace as he spun her around which stood in stark contrast to the rather calm day she had had so far. As always, Kyi was comfortably warm - although this time, it might have more to do with the heat inside his spaceship affecting the jacket rather than the warmth emanating from his body. She kept laughing even after he had set her back down, not capable of keeping the joy of seeing him again contained. When he kissed her, Aurelie soon realised that there were few things which made her as happy as when the handsome Jedi showed his affection to her. Her cheeks were beginning to redden whilst the cold soon became but a memory. It was as if the world only contained the two of them, and everything else was peripheral.

"I missed you too" she said sweetly as they hugged. The world soon reminded her that there weren't just the two of them as Exdee chirped happily, brushing up against her other side. Letting out a light laugh, the thief replied "Yes, I did, little friend. Of course I missed you too" As the three stood there, the nervousness slowly started to creep back. It felt weird - she hadn't been nervous because of Kyi in a rather long time, but now, she were. Determined not to let it ruin the moment, Aurelie repositioned herself, brushing up against the Knight's side with her own "Let's go inside"

Scrappy, wearing a similar red shirt as Aurelie, opened the door as they approached "Welcome back, sir" he said sounding rather glad while looking at Kyi. Exdee soon chirped eagerly to which the combat droid responded "It was not at my initiative" with a far less positive voice. Once inside, the young woman shuddered from the cold - it was nice to be back where it was warm again. While the two droids walked off, resuming their constant chattering, she turned to the Knight with a smile. Their eyes were locked for a few good moments before she looked down to his clothing and started to lower a first zipper to get out of his slight suit.

"The dinner isn't ready yet, but I've prepared a little something for us by the fireplace" she said while hanging up his jacket. It was only sensible to her that Kyi should get some rest when coming home from protecting the innocent. While they had a wonderfully peaceful time as they finally reunited, she kept feeling a slight sense of nervousness but did her best to hide it from him. Aurelie turned back to him as he now stood without jacket. Her eyes scanned him carefully until they finally looked up to meet his "Everything seems to be in order, still" she said jokingly as if just having conducted an inspection.

With Exdee bouncing off of his shoulder and onto the grass below, Kyi and Exdee followed the blonde thief into the cottage where they were greeted by Scrappy who was wearing a similar red shirt to the woman next to him. Smiling, Kyi patted the security droid's shoulder "It's good to see you, Scraps." - the Jedi Knight hadn't realised how cold it was until he stepped inside, greeted by the more than welcome heat of the fireplace, he let out a quiet sigh and rubbed his gloved hands together. For a moment, Kyi and Aurie locked eyes and she smiled at him, before she approached and started to pull down the zipper to his flight suit and helping him take it off.

The smell of whatever she was cooking smelt great, but he didn't want to ask what it was and preferred to be surprised. Aurie mentioned dinner not being ready and that she had also set up something by the fireplace - turning his attention to what was there, his eyes focused on the cookies and grapes. Kyi was now in a t-shirt, flight trousers and boots - which the blue-eyed thief seemed to notice, as if she were inspecting him. Smiling and letting out a laugh through his nose, he placed his palm on his chest
"Yep, still in one piece. Although, I fought a Sith Lord and got my arm cut off, what you're seeing now is a cybernetic." he jested while waving his left arm about.

Kyi walked toward Aurelie, gently placing his hand over hers and directed her to the couch with him. He sat down and gestured for her to sit next to him, when she finally did, he would place his arm around her shoulder and pull her close where she could rest her head on his shoulder, he grabbed a cookie and began to bite into it. Kyi began to sense that feeling of uneasiness come from her again, maybe she felt nervous and was still shaken up about the exiled Sith? Turning his head toward her, asked
"How've you been holding up since...?" with a raised eyebrow and concerned voice. If she was still shaken up about that, he wanted to comfort her in any way he could.

For a moment, Aurelie's eyes went blank as he told her of the arm. Immediately, she reached for it and held it. A squeeze and some poking later, she determined that it was a mere joke. "You.. you..! You nerf-herder!" she screamed whilst sending a punch in his direction, intended to connect with the 'cybernetic' arm's bicep. Just having gone from fear to outrage, the girl started drifting towards joy. Light laughter escaped her eyes that had already started to tear up "You can't do that, okay?" she said in a weird mix of emotions.

While the girl wanted to hug him again, it seemed like the man who had just caused her such a fright had another idea. Following him to the couch, she sat down on the spot where he had pointed out. Before leaning down against him, Aurelie took the sheet which she had wrapped herself in before leaving the house and put it around Kyi's shoulders instead. As she got back down, the young woman's eyes lingered on his handsome face for a few moments, causing a natural smile. Pulling up both legs on the sofa, she leaned in against his shoulder as he pulled her closer.

At first, the thief kept rubbing her head against his shoulder, enjoying it as her cheek got to share the warmth from underneath his shirt. She was starting to relax, as the Knight wrapped his arm around her and seemed to enjoy some of the sweets she had prepared at the same time. With a cabin stocked fully with necessities in the outskirts of a safe planet in the arms of the one she loved, Aurelie could think of no safer place in the galaxy. Yet, there was this uneasy feeling, this anxiousness about what she knew had to be done. Of course, Kyi picked up on something being off, he always did. "I've been well. A little light-headed perhaps, but nothing major." she remarked casually. She would hold off on the news for as long as possible - anything to savour the wonderful moment with him. They didn't meet nearly often enough and she wanted to use every moment to the fullest. "I'm so glad you're here. Have you been staying safe?" she asked carefully, well aware of how much he cared for the cause.

"I've got a few ideas of what we could do tomorrow" she said enthusiastically. Unless interrupted, Aurelie would go on to elaborate on her plans.

Kyi raised an eyebrow at the blue-eyed thief's explanation, how she so casually shrugged off the fact that she was feeling light-headed? Why was she feeling light-headed? Was she sick? Injured? The freckled Jedi grew slightly worried at that. Opening his mouth to point it out and to ask her to elaborate on it - Kyi felt that pit in his stomach once again, but it hasn't been to this extent before. Kyi physically clenched his stomach and bent over slightly on the couch, there was a great disturbance in the Force, greater than any he had ever felt in his life. He sensed it all, pain, suffering, his friends and allies in fear - and worst of all, he felt death echo through the Force.

The young Jedi was so focused on this anomaly in the Force's currents, the words of the woman he loved were completely blocked out. "Jedha..." Kyi uttered, almost in a whisper. Determination and purpose took over Kyi as he shot up from the couch immediately as he made his way to the coat racket to pick up his jacket, ignoring anything Aurelie had to say. He loved her, more than anything and would have loved to spend the rest of the evening with her, but his friends and brethren were in danger and needed his help - he couldn't refuse it.

As the Jedi approached the coat rack, Exdee noticed the duty bound look in his master and left Scrappy, rushing towards his master and jumping and compressing into his "standby mode" on his back. Kyi picked up his jacket, put it on and zipped it up, still ignoring the protests of his girlfriend. Kyi placed his gloved palms on her cheeks gently and leaned in slightly -
"It's Jedha...the Jedi - I sense so much suffering and death. I need to go and help." he said with both sorrow and purpose. He leaned in further to place a gentle kiss on her warm and soft lips before breaking away and locking his eyes on to hers "I love you, Aurie... but I have to go."

With that, he opened the door - leaving the warmth of the cottage and began his approach toward his starfighter. It pained him to ignore Aurie's protests and to hear her worry about him but at this point, nothing in the galaxy could stop him... or so he thought.

Whilst talking away about her ideas, Kyi's shoulder suddenly tensed up. In fact, all of Kyi tensed up as he clenched his stomach, pushing her off the cozy position she held. Her eyes quickly went to the cookie he had dropped, wondering if it was really that bad - but no, this was something else. Aurelie let both of her legs fall down from the couch to sit up straight next to him, putting an arm on his back and the other on his knee. "What is it?" she asked with a concerned voice but was completely ignored by the knight who seemed to be in great distress. Once he mentioned some remote planet, she couldn't help but to think that it had something to do with the force. Although having spent a reasonable amount of time with force users, this trauma was something she hadn't seen before.

"What's wrong?" she asked, now worried as he rose to his feet with determination. "Hey, let me in, what's going on?" she continued with slight pulls at his arm, just to get his attention. Her efforts showed little in terms of results, however, as the Jedi kept walking to quickly reach his jacket. Irrational thoughts started to enter her mind. Had he sensed what they had? Did he have another out there? Was he leaving her? The horrible thoughts caused the young woman's eyes to go wet "Please, Kyi" That is when he finally seemed to recognise her presence, enveloping her face with his warm hands. For a moment, everything felt good again. But only for a moment.

It took a while for her to process what he had said, for her to reach the right conclusions as he got dressed up for flight. A small "no" escaped her as the final piece of the puzzle fell in place. Her mind raced as the thought of him going off into a battle dangerous enough to give him such a dramatic reaction earlier. The horrendous thought of his death crossed her mind both one and two times. "No no" she said again, this time with more determination, even going as far as putting a gentle hand on his chest. Letting her eyes meet with his, Aurelie took a deep breath "Stay" she said more calmly.

Once again, he conquered her determination and broke it down with ease as he kissed her and and said that he loved her. A wave of relief washed over her as she thought that he had listened. A very short lasting wave - he soon added that he would leave anyways. "No, Kyi, no no no, please!" she pleaded desperately, trying to hold him back as he opened the door, sending in a wave of chill air into the cabin.

Following him outside, her bare feet brushed against the cold grass as she pleaded for him to stay, each time sounding more desperate than the last with a few salty tears slowly making their way down her face. He was leaving and nothing she seemed to say changed his mind. Time seemed to pass more slowly as she finally stopped following him, feeling his form brush away the hands which had so desperately tried to keep him back. "Please, Kyi, please!" she was practically screaming as he kept walking away.

Resigned, crying and heartbroken, Aurelie watched as the man she loved walked towards his ship. It was cold, even when she crossed her arms to preserve heat. Her lower lip was shivering as she thought of what was happening - she was watching Kyi Wavestrider leave, maybe for the last time. "But what of our children?" she screamed with a desperate voice, a voice that was now starting to fail her. The girl started sobbing, letting her gaze fall to the ground "What of our kids?" she repeated in a low voice whilst the tears ran down her face in a steady stream.

Kyi was more determined than anything to go out and help his brethren, when he heard - "But what of our children?" - at that moment the galaxy completely stopped. Kyi froze mid-step, staying in place for a few moments and evaluating what he just heard, did Aurelie really just say that? Was he hearing things? What did she mean "their children"? The freckled Jedi's heart rate increased rapidly and he felt his pulse in his ears. Even Exdee was shocked, the little droid let out a quiet but concerned beep and bounced his head slightly and turned to look at Aurelie.

"What did you just say?" he asked, still taken by complete surprise. It all started to make sense, her uneasiness earlier, the hint of the Force he sensed within her, her mentioning her light-headedness - how could he not notice all of the signs? Kyi slowly rotated his body, turning to look at his girlfriend - completely sobbing as her head hung low. The young Jedi had never felt so conflicted in his entire twenty-four years of life - his duty and loyalty to the Jedi was pulling him to go and help on Jedha... but the sight of the woman he loved, sobbing and begging him not to leave, as well as the bomb she had just dropped on him made him want to stay at their cottage more than anything. Kyi would have to make a choice, one of the most hardest choices in his life. Clenching his fists and closing his eyes tight, the freckled Jedi deliberated on the decision he would have to make and its consequences.

After what felt like hours, his eyes opened and his decision was made. Kyi began taking steps toward the bawling woman in front of him, her head was still hung low so she wouldn't be able to see him coming. Without saying a word, he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her in close hugging her, he buried his head into her shoulders - feeling an overwhelming amount of emotions himself which ranged from feeling the suffering and death on Jedha, to seeing Aurie so upset and distraught and finally, "their kids". Trying to stay strong for both of them, he fought back the tears that started to well up in his own eyes.

As he pulled away from the hug, he kept her close and had his arms still wrapped around her waistline. He looked her in blue eyes and noticed they were red from all of her crying, he stayed silent for a few moments before finally coming up with the courage to ask
"Y-you're pregnant?" he asked with a whisper.

First, she saw a foot, then another, then his arms as he went in to hug her by the waist. An overwhelming wave of relief washed over the girl as she followed along, allowing him to pull her in. The heartbroken girl still had tears running down her cheeks as she stood limp in his arms. He was just about leave her, abandon her by their cabin, once again alone with Scrappy - the mere idea of it made her feel as if though a dark pit was forming in her chest. It made her feel sick to her core - first her father, then Hask and now, now Kyi was about to go charging into what she imagined being a field of slaughter and death. How could he? But then, he was there with her now. She loved him and he loved her.

Slowly, carefully, her arms started moving upwards from her sides. Eventually, her delicate fingers, usually used as tools to pick pockets, touched against his flanks and were soon followed by her palms. Quickly, Aurelie was overcome with emotions and hugged him back, holding him as tightly as she could muster. While her mouth stayed silent, her mind was praying for him to stay, to not leave again. Something was off, while she would usually feel an immediate rush of warmth and fuzzy feelings when being close with Kyi, the young woman still felt cold and hollow inside. She was hurt. Of course, she had known what she was getting into from the start but this time, it was different. Pregnant, Aurelie was more emotional than usual, something which wasn't made better by constantly mounting nervousness for the big reveal. While she wasn't proud of it, the girl also admitted to herself that part of her sorrow came from the fact that he ignored her, despite her desperate please practically begging for him to stay.

After a while, the hug was released but Kyi kept her in his arms, allowing both to look each other deep in the eyes. It was clear as day that she had been crying, and it seemed like he had been affected by the emotional roller-coaster too. Seeing that brought a small sense of comfort to her as it stood much clearer that the Knight's departure wasn't a walk on roses for him either. The grass brushed coldly against her feet as the two looked upon each other in silence. "Yes" she replied with a weak voice, hurt from all the high tones and screamed she had taken just a few moments ago. While the traumatic experience had a large impact on the character of her voice and tone, a sense of blissful joy could be heard deep underneath all the layers of pain. It all fit into this one little word, confirming that she was indeed pregnant. "I'm carrying your children Kyi. Our children." she said in defiance of her weak voice.

Her right hand slowly went to her belly, her eyes went down to it and then back up to Kyi. The expression on her face had immediately turned softer "They're twins" she added with a warm and caring tone.

The figure of Scrappy soon appeared by the door of their cabin. The combat droid was armed to his teeth with warm boots, one thick blankets and a warm scarf. He didn't speak but walked towards his master with decided steps. Although clunky, obviously not designed to this particular task, the droid dropped the boots and laid the scarf around her neck and put the blanket on her shoulders. The machine's head then turned to Kyi, looking at him for both one and two moments before deciding to stay silent. With that, Scrappy bent down and helped Aurelie slip her feet into the boots. "Master" he said when standing up, now apparently completely ignoring the young knight "Let us go inside" Opting to add extra emphasis to his ask, Scrappy replayed a recording from a few days earlier. Aurelie's voice could be heard humming on the twi'lek lullaby but paused "Scrappy, look what I got for us!" "Shirts, master?" "Yeah, I need to stay warm, you know. Don't wanna catch a cold! And I thought you could wear one too" Her voice was still happy, still sweet and filled with anticipation, standing in stark contrast to its current broken state. The recording ended with the droid looking expectantly at the thief.

Twins? They were having twins? An overwhelming amount of emotions took over the young Jedi after hearing the answer - the main ones being both joy and excitement. He was going to be a father! He and Aurelie were going to have kids, twins! Kyi was completely overjoyed... although the massacre that was currently going on was deep in the back of his mind. His eyes lowered as he watched Aurie's hands lower to her belly - trying to fight back tears of happiness, he managed to muster a toothy smile at the woman he loved, who was now the mother of his children.

"T-this is amazing! H-how far are-" the freckled Jedi stopped himself as he noticed the sight of Scrappy appearing by the door. He brought out some boots, blankets and a scarf for his master - which he greatly appreciated, because of the emotional roller coaster the both of them had just went through, Kyi had completely forgotten she was out here only in her red shirt. The loyal security droid wrapped the blue-eyed thief up in the scarf and blankets while also placing the boots on the ground. The Knight and the security droid exchanged glances for a few short moments - while Kyi couldn't sense how a droid would feel during the Force, it didn't take an expert for him to figure out he was the droid's least favourite person right now. Although, he was still grateful for his assistance and for wanting to take her inside "Thank you, Scrappy." he said, his eyes shifting away from the droid.

Scrappy then went on to replay a recording - it must have been a few days ago or something; the playback was of Aurelie, humming a tune that he didn't recognise and excited at the shirts that she had got them. Completely contrasting how she was now and the overall atmosphere itself - after this, the security droid cut off the transmission and escorted his master inside the cabin while Kyi stayed outside in the cold, head hung low as he felt completely and utterly torn still.

The young Jedi turned to look toward the horizon, toward the lake that outstretched toward the forest as he placed his hands on his hips, sighing. He felt horrible. He wasn't on Jedha... helping... and Aurelie, the woman he loved more than anything was distraught, heartbroken even, that he was about leave her. He understood pregnancy tended to crank up human emotions to eleven but... he still felt terrible.
"What am I going to do, Exdee?" he asked, emotional pain causing his voice to crack, Kyi was too upset to even make eye contact with his friend. "Beep? Deet boop beep." Exdee answered with an advisory few beeps, "Yeah...I know." Kyi responded. With that, the young Jedi and his droid headed back inside the cabin - ready to apologise, comfort and support the woman he loved in any way possible.

Entering the cabin, he saw Scrappy tending to his upset master. With a sigh
"Scrappy, do you mind giving me and Aurie a moment?" he asked, after hearing this, Exdee also took the hint and leapt off of his master's back and left the room and out of side to give his master space. Kyi still felt a hint of animosity within the security droid but, begrudgingly, he followed Exdee out of the room. Now alone, Kyi approached Aurelie and sat down next to her, he placed his hand gently on hers and hung his head down slightly. "I'm so sorry..." he said in a low voice - it was the only sentence he could muster at the moment.

Part of her wanted to to stay out there with Kyi - she had almost lost him as he was about to fly off to his own death. Why wouldn't she want to cherish the moment together with him? What if he would only stay there momentarily? What if he would just turn around again and fly off, content knowing that his children would remain safe on Andara? It would make sense for her to make the best out of their last moments together before he left. The uncertainty was unbearable.

Then Scrappy played the recording. Despite just having been a day or so, the happiness she heard in her voice felt so far away, so distant. There was little the young woman wouldn't give to return to her place of joy, ignorant of all concerns, only nervous over how her boyfriend would react to the pregnancy. The recording soon went silent, leaving her blankly staring into his eyes for a while. She was torn: Part of her wanted to hug him, absorb all the warmth his body would offer and beg him never to leave her again. Another part wanted to yell, ask him how he could just leave her like that, why he had to break her heart when things were finally starting to settle down.

Biting her lip, Aurelie's gaze slowly started descending. It wasn't easy to beg someone to stay, it was hard to open up and expose her most vulnerable side - and worse yet, being ignored when doing so was soul crushing. There would be no dramatic scene before she went back in, nor would there be a passionate show of love. She was empty. Slowly slipping away from his arms, the girl turned and walked back to their home with Scrappy.

The cabin was warm as always, but something was off. Despite knowing every corner, every crack, it simply didn't feel the same. But then, at this moment, everything was weird. Scrappy guided the girl back to the couch. For a moment, she just stood there and stared at the spot where she and Kyi had snuggled up together just a bit earlier. It all felt empty now - usually when she was there alone, she could always anticipate the next time he would come there, but not this time.

Feeling as if the world around her was starting to loose its colours and saturation, she calmly sat down at the couch, at the same spot as earlier. With a straight back and generally good posture, she just sat there. "Master?" the droid asked, with a voice that projected concern. "Master" he called again, still receiving nothing in response to his attempts at establishing contact.

Eventually, the door could be heard swooshing open, soon followed by a familiar squeal as a few of the boards by the door was put under pressure. Her heart rate rose as genuine hope was returning. And there he was. It didn't take long until the droids were away and the two sat, right where they had been sitting earlier. She looked to him once he had apologized as the magnitude of what had just happened started to sink in. The man, the jedi she loved, had just chosen to stay despite the force and his duties to the order pulling him in the other direction.

"Kyi" Her voice was sweet, on the verge of cracking up as positive emotions overwhelmed her. At this moment, it was simply not possible to stay mad at him. Sweeping in to catch his hanging head, Aurelie pushed up against him in a hug and leaned her head against his. Once again at peace, she let out a soft sigh "I love you"

It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, however. Deep inside, the girl felt bad for having put so much pressure on Kyi to stay. She felt bad for putting him in such a spot where he practically had to choose. "Three weeks." she said, temporarily distracting herself from the guilt "They're three weeks." While the thought of their babies was a good distraction, the guilt soon returned to fester on her. At the same time, she feared more than anything that he would go off to get himself killed. "You worthless hypocrite" she thought to herself as she bit her tongue and remained silent.

She called out his name, it sounded like her usual chirpy voice, which brought a small crack of a smile on his face. Feeling her head rest against his own, coupled with a relieving hug - she told him she loved him, which forced his lips to expand into a full on smile. Kyi leaned his head against hers "I love you too..." he reciprocated, still feeling guilt in his heart over what had just transpired. Kyi's tense shoulders relaxed a little as Aurelie's arms remained wrapped around him, feeling slightly more at ease now.

His mind rushed back to the thought of his fellow Jedi suffering as he stayed, away from helping, safely in the comfort of his own home which caused him to let out a deep sigh. "Three weeks." she uttered, taking his mind off of feeling like he was betraying his Order by being here, she repeated again. The young Jedi's mind travelled to his future children, the twins, and he began to imagine of what they'd grow up to be like - would they grow up to be like him? Duty bound and wanting to help anyone they could? Or would they be more like their mother; optimistic, free-spirited, playful and all around good? Kyi smiled again knowing that whatever they grew up to be; they'd be perfect, the thought of this brought him to the conclusion: He wouldn't want to miss them growing up for anything.

Then the guilt settled in once more, the freckled Knight had been loyal to the Jedi Order for years now and would have given his life for the cause up until a few moments ago. Now he was going to be a father, he had everything to live for and everything to lose, he felt selfish - this wasn't the Jedi way, putting personal wants and goals over the Code... but things have completely changed. Making a firm decision now, the young Jedi would remain loyal to the Jedi Order and will fight for them and to make the galaxy a better place, especially for his children. But, and he felt utter guilt for saying this, Aurelie and their children will always come first no matter what.

Kyi placed his hand on Aurie's belly, continuing to lean his head against hers
"These babies...our children. You and them? You're my life now... my responsibility and I won't hesitate to give my life for you or to make the galaxy a better place for them." he said confidently, pausing for a moment "But right now... I'm going to be here for you, I'll always be here for you." he said as he began to stroke her belly gently, with a smile on his face.

Her arms clasped around him tighter as she hugged him affectionately. Her heart was melting when he made his declaration. Steadily, a sense of calm made itself present as the girl absorbed every little word he said. Leaning back a bit, Aurelie leaned her forehead against his as the Knight began to stroke her belly. Her lips formed in permanent smile, seemingly incapable of returning to normal.

Her blue eyes had been fixed on his freckles for a while before they looked up to meet his brown ones. "Hey, I may not be big on making the galaxy a better place, but you know I'd give anything for you and.." she paused to throw a glance down at her belly, and then back up at him again "..them, right?" she continued sincerely. All of a sudden, a poorly suppressed laugh escaped her "We're going to become one of those cheesy couples I used to see in all the cities a few years back" she jokes whilst running her smooth thumb against his jaw-line. "And once they've joined us, our family.." her tone was still happy, although perhaps not joking to the same extent. She took a satisfied deep breath "Well, it'll be one for the holovids." she said dreamily.

It was a rather magical moment they were having. But she needed to get something off of her chest. With that, she leaned back a little more, looking him straight in the eyes "And I promise you this. From here on out, I'll support you and our twins in whatever you may choose to do, okay?" She paused and soon noticed how she was loosing herself in his beautiful eyes, peripherally seeing his freckles. "No matter what the rest of the world thinks or what people say, I'll always be by your side." Determination and love characterised the young woman's voice as she regained her composure to speak. Although she hated the idea of having him go into battle again, it was a part of who he was and she loved all of him, not just part of him. Besides, if it ever did come to the worst, she would never forgive herself if she was someone bringing worry to his mind or worse, one of the factors which distracted him from the present.

"I was a fool to leave you earlier, Kyi" she said, thinking back of when she left his arms to go back into the cabin. "Just know that it won't happen again, OK?" she swallowed hard, afraid of the consequences of what she had said might be, although his own promises did bring her a degree of comfort. "I'll always be by your side" she repeated.

"And some day, I might even give you your lightsaber back." she added playfully with a mischievous smile. If and when the Knight reached for the weapon at his side to check if it was still there, he'd feel the handle sitting where it always used to be. Only when returning his gaze to her would he see a victorious smile as she saw her jest succeed. Even when deeply in love, the thief wouldn't allow them both to drown in honey. Only almost. Looking at the newly pranked face of the man she loved, she leaned in to steal a quick kiss.

The feelings she had of perfection, joy and bliss at the start of the day? It was all back now, in force.
