Param's could still sense him, but that didn't stop her face from lighting up when she saw him standing there. She gave him a spin, the dress flowing outward and then back in as she stopped. "Yes! It's beautiful!" she said excitedly. She turned to the woman that had helped her and handed her the credit chip that was going to pay for the dress. She was confident that Kodi had grabbed enough stuff to make it well worth emptying the card.

It was then that a second woman came out with a set of lingerie. "Sir, did you still want this?" She held the lingerie up. Param's jaw dropped and her cheeks turned bright red. Thinking fast, after a solid three seconds of awkward silence, Param grabbed the set from the woman.

"Yeah put this on the card as well," she said, the words coming out almost too fast to understand. Confused, the woman that had brought the lingerie out turned to go handle other duties. The woman behind the register swiped the credit chip and handed it back to Param along with a bag to put the lingerie and Kodi's clothes in. Param threw them into the bag.

She snaked her arm around his as they made it back to the street. "So, what was that?" she asked, cheeks still flushed as she gave him a mischievous smile.

Kai was ready to leave when the associate from earlier arrived with the lingerie. He did a double take, his eye wide from embarrassment. He started to say no when Param spoke up and asked to buy it. The Fiani’s ears flattened and he cleared his throat, but he kept his composure. He walked out and was back to his casual cool, thrilled about the loot he had on him. Kai also realized he was getting comfortable with having Param’s arm looped through his. His tail playfully wrapped around her waist as they walked.

“Maybe something I want you to model for me,” He said bluntly with a smirk before he reached for a cigarra and placed it between his lips. He shouldn’t have said it, he knew. She was a Sith, and he kept forgetting himself. Kai kept his gaze trained forward, his mind fighting against itself as they walked through the shopping district.

“Well with you dressed like that, I suppose I ought to take you out for a nice dinner,” He said with a smirk. Kai told her to wait, briefly ducking into another shop for a while. He came out from a side alley later, dressed to match her energy. It was his first time dressing like this and he felt like an idiot, but objectively there was no denying it - the guy looked great. Kai combed his hair with his fingers to set it into place, offering his arm to Param, “Shall we?” He asked with a smirk, stuffing his prior clothes into the bag she had.

He led her to a fancy restaurant that offered a stunning view from the asteroid. It took them moments to get seated right by a large window. Kai adjusted his jacket, clearly not used to any of this, “People wear this all day..on purpose?” He asked moodily as he looked over the menu. He didn’t understand half the terms. Kai cleared his throat, deciding to play along with this role play.

“Madame, can I interest you in a glass of wine?” He asked with a dramatic, clipped royal Basic accent.

"I guess you have earned it," she said, biting her lip as she looked ahead. If he wanted it badly enough he could have just taken her back to the ship. She certainly wouldn't complain. Her eyes moved back up to him, drinking in his lips, and jaw. The ears that had done her in the first time she saw them. He kept his eyes ahead though. There was something he was fighting, but she wouldn't pry. She never wanted to put herself in a position to manipulate him. "A nice dinner sounds great."

Param waited patiently for him while he ran into a store. When he returned in a suit that matched her dress, her face lit up like a star. He looked very handsome, and with his hair fashioned the way it was... Her cheeks flushed, taking his arm immediately when it was offered. "With the most handsome man in the sector? I think we shall," she said, her smile clearly showing that she happy through and through. He was fun, in a way that nothing else quite was for her.

The restaurant he brought her was gorgeous. The view, the venue, even all of the people within. Everyone was dressed up and fancy; it was breathtaking. Param let her eyes wander only for a moment, before focusing on Kodi. "It's fun! And you look great. Though I'll admit, the best part sometimes is taking it all off." The realization of what she said hit her. Her cheeks burned as her eyes dropped to the table.

And there was Kodi to save the day again, with his wonderfully dramatic royal Basic accent. Param giggled and nodded. "You can!" she tried to emulate his accent. He was much better at it than she was. A waiter came around to ask them what they wanted. Two glasses with a bottle of wine, and some salads with a fancy dressing neither of them had heard of before were all they needed for now.

Param turned from the waiter to Kodi, her eyes meeting his. "Thank you for taking care of me last night, and..." she paused, looking around at all the gorgeous sights around them. "for this."

Kai caught himself staring at her - not just because she looked beautiful (as beautiful as a human could be, anyway), but because of her excitement about the world around her. It was genuine and not superficial or fake like was often the case. And that added to her beauty in a way he hadn’t anticipated. It was that glint in her eye, that almost cheerful outlook on a galaxy that had done her so wrong. He had a faint smile on his face that began to slip, and he instinctively pulled his sleeve up towards his wrist, almost ashamed of what he was.

“Cheers,” He said with a grin as they clinked their glasses and he took a sip. While he didn’t like this kind of clothing or life, he began to see why people enjoyed it. The ambience was peaceful and relaxed, though the music could put him to sleep.

“Thanks for….being you,” He blurted out. He cleared his throat, taking a sip of his wine. What a cheesy thing to say. Kai was a smooth operator and here he was fumbling over his words, “I can’t remember the last time I went on one of these..” He trailed off. He didn’t care about taking girls out on dates. He had a long history of hookups that he forgot the next day, so this was different from his norm.

“Hmmm okay, tell me something embarrassing about you,” He started off.

She took a sip after the cheers. It was a lot better than the wine she had mind-tricked the bartender for back on Troiken as apart of her training. No wonder Master Thel wasn't impressed with the brand she had gotten. Frizzy drinks and cocktails were so much better; they were always delicious. She wouldn't say no to having this wine again though, especially in this company.

Param's cheeks burned. He had no idea just how much he permeated throughout her being. She did her best to stay true to herself, but she was only able to find that self because of him. He'd shown her a galaxy that, for how dark and busted it all was, still have life and fun in it. A galaxy so big that if she wanted to walk away from it all and disappear, she could. It was that wanting to walk away from it all that she struggled with, and staying her around other Sith. They all saw it as a weakness, despite everything she's done to prove them wrong.

Her silver eyes watched him. Every little movement, and fidget telling her a little more about him. She giggled to herself. Kodi was so charming and smooth, but put him in a fancy suit and have him take you out to dinner and he was almost as lost as she was sometimes. "Embarrassing?" she repeated. How would Ma- no, that wasn't what she wanted to ask herself. What would she say?

"It took meeting you to realize who me was," she said. Her cheeks were flushed, but not out of embarrassment. No, he deserved to know what he meant to her. "And even longer to realize that you've taught me more about me than any Sith ever has." Now the blush was from a little bit of embarrassment, and a lot of she'd much rather be riding him into the non-existent sunset. "What about you?"

Kai expected some silly story or some goofy tale about failure. Instead, she completely caught him off guard once again with her genuine answer. It was both a compliment and also outlining her vulnerability. Sith despised ever showing any kind of weakness, and he wondered how much she had to hold back around her peers.

“And… do you like what you’ve discovered about being you?” He asked curiously. Kai smiled faintly at her, “I don’t think there’s anything embarrassing about figuring out who you are,” He would let her answer before he moved onto answering her question. Kai could have said something deep and insightful like she had, but his mind wandered somewhere else.

“I was getting a haircut the other day and the guy asked me what I did for a living,” He explained, “I said the usual, you know? I followed up by asking him what he did for a living…and he slowly answered he’s a barber as he’s cutting my hair,” Kai took a sip of his wine, “Anyway, I’m never going back to that shop again,” He said with a grimace. Kai still had nightmares about that encounter. It kept him up at night more than his crippling debt or worries about his mother.

His gaze flicked over to her necklace, “Does that have meaning for you? I notice you wear it a lot,” Kai asked curiously.

Did she like what she discovered? Oh Kodi. Param gave him a warm smile. "I love it," she answered. Her lips kept moving, even before she could think to stop. "Every time I'm having trouble, it's always something that you said that helps me overcome it. Or times we were together, good and bad." The night at the fair still haunted her, despite everything. She never wanted to see the terror on his face that she saw that night again. Not even, she wanted to protect him from ever having that terror again.

His story of the barber saved her from the frown that threatened to break her smile. Param giggled, slowly bubbling into a laugh as she pictured the scene. "I wouldn't go back either," she choked out between laughing fits. "I think I would melt in the chair." She took another sip of wine. She had a decent tolerance for alcohol, despite being relatively small; it wasn't the wine that was making her happy though.

Her eyes flicked between Kodi and the black rose necklace around her neck. "Oh, um..." she hesitated a bit, but she wasn't going to lie. The galaxy had enough lies and deceit running rampant, she wasn't going to add to it. "I feel bad, but not really. An associate," she said the word carefully, knowing Kodi would pick up on what she meant. "ended up taking me someplace really bad, and I didn't have a good time. I tried not accepting it but he didn't really take no for an answer. It had a lot of meaning to him. I just wear it because it's pretty, really."

Param refocused on Kodi, her eyes shifting between him, the bottle of wine, complete with a cork on the top, and the staff. A waiter brought their salads and a basket of rolls. The moment the waiter's back was turned, their attention going to another table in the general floor area. Param turned a mischievous grin to Kodi. "Hey Kodi? Do you want to grab the wine and," she paused. Her cheeks flushed a little. "Go back to your ship?" She slid the bag of clothes over to him with her foot, her eyes moving back over to keep an eye on the staff.

Kai was surprised and humbled that she actually referred back to things he said. He knew himself as a terrible influence, and to hear someone actually take his words to heart was shocking. Her bubbly giggling was infectious, and he found himself laughing along, though the memory was still horrifying.

There was no real shift in his expression as she gave the backstory about the necklace. However, he grimaced when she kept talking, “Wouldn’t take no for an answer? You don’t have to put up with people like that,” He said. Of course, he had no idea that the very man she spoke of had been at the party and Kai now possessed his primary saber and one of his knives.

Kai was halfway through his fancy salad and was pausing to take a drink when Param made her next suggestion. He almost choked on the liquid, his eye widening as he caught that look. The look. He knew that look. His face burned hot and flushed red, and he hoped she would think it was the wine. He dabbed his lips with a napkin, but actually laid out some credits on the table to pay for what they ordered.

Without a word, he grabbed the wine and extended a hand for Param, walking them back towards his ship. There was a rush as they walked back, and even then the atmosphere was light and playful. They were back on the ship in no time and Kai led her to his quarters. She would notice it was stacked to the brim with items that certainly didn’t belong to him, and she’d likely spot Trael’s saber somewhere there.

Kai forgot about the wine, setting it on the side table. He finally picked up on the hints and leaned in to kiss her, a sense of urgency as he wanted to act on his desires. She was pressed back against the wall behind her, his hands at first fumbling with her complicated dress until he simply started tugging it down her torso to reveal her chest. While everything up until now had been lighthearted and cheery, there was no denying the passion and fire that manifested now.

Kodi was right of course. She didn't have to deal with people like that, and she hadn't seen Trael since except at the party. Even then he'd tried to scold her, as if he had any right to. He preached to Param while the innocent man, who's throat he had slit, still stood behind him bleeding out. Yeah, she was the problem. She almost rolled her eyes at the thought, if it wasn't for Kodi holding out his hand to her. Param left thoughts of the Sith at the table.

The walk back to the ship wasn't a very long one, but it felt like an eternity for Param. She'd resumed her place, wrapped around his arm. It was one of her favorite places to be, aside from as she found recently, being between both of his arms. Here she was, a Sith girl that had slain anyone she had been ordered to, massacred a room of slavers, could end a man with a thought, and the safest place she felt was wrapped in Kodi's arms. Just the thought had her heart pounding wildly in her chest, and her core heating up.

It was like he had read her mind, though it wasn't that hard to read. She didn't even care about the piles of things in his room that he had collected. The only thing that mattered was his lips crashing against hers, and the struggle to get her free of the dress. A whimper of need escaped her lips into his as her chest became bare. Param could feel his heat, his passion, more than he knew. She helped him, shimming her way out of the rest of the dress, but it wasn't enough. She needed him.

Her fingers, graceful as an echani could ever be while still trembling with desire undid the buttons of his suit and shirt, opening the front to reveal the athletic body underneath. Her finger tips explored the bumps and ridges of scars covering his chest, and then abs, down to his belt buckle. Param's lips never left his, save to trace gentle nibbles along his jaw onto his neck as she managed to free him from his pants.

She pulled her face away, face flushed red with desire as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Her body trembled against his. Param smiled. "Screw long division, right?" she said quietly.

Kai’s heart pounded against his chest as they kissed and undressed one another. Her dress fell away and he took the time to glance down at her, marveling at the gorgeous, flawless skin and her beauty. He helped remove his own clothing, exhilarated by her touch against his bare skin. His torso was revealed, along with his intricate full sleeve tattoo that betrayed his ties with criminal organizations. He was lost in the feel of her lips against his neck, the heat between their bodies, the way she felt under his touch as his hands explored her torso.

Kai chuckled at her words, gazing down at her with a fanged grin. He reached down and hooked his hands below her knees, effortlessly lifting her off the ground. He gazed up at her as he carried her towards his bed, his tail swishing back to punch the door shut behind him.

No words needed to be said, no explanations needed to be made. He kissed and tasted as much as he pleased, making his way down her body to take her to new heights of ecstasy. It wasn’t just physical, every touch emotionally charged, and every gesture laced with passion. He was addicted to every sound she made, the way she breathed, the way she gripped him, the way his sheets were bunched and tussled.

Thoughts about the galaxy, his pirating ventures, the fact that she was a Sith, all of it melted away. There was just Param, and he embraced her in every way he could.

It was like a dream, except she knew it wasn't the way his fangs gave her little pinches everywhere they wanted to claim. It was real, and Param never wanted it to end. The passion and urgency, the way he used every little sound and movement against her. She gave everything to him. Every emotion, every feeling, and he took them and gave her his own. Param clung to the only true happiness she'd known, never wanting to let him go, and wishing he would never let her go. Every pleasure amplified as she felt his passion coupled with hers in the Force.

When they were spent, and he had rolled over, she found a new home pressed against him with her head resting on his chest. Even a gentle tracing of the scars and marks on his stomach could hide her trembling. Param was practically glowing, so completely happy that even recognizing some of the old burns as lightsaber wounds didn't bring her down from cloud nine. It did raise some questions, and a concern.

Was Param apart of the problem? "Kodi?" She shifted her head on his chest, raising her silver eyes to his. He would see no judgement in them, no malicious intent to maneuver to manipulate him. He'd only see empathy and concern. "Are these from what I think they're from?" In her heart she already knew the answer. She had faced horrible things, yet the biggest fear for her at that very moment was never experiencing the happiness she had just felt again- all over a stupid order with self-destroying ideals.

Kai couldn’t remember the last time he actually stuck around to linger after doing this. And yet, he had no desire to go anywhere right now. His ears weren’t twitching, his fingers weren’t flexing, and his tail wasn’t flicking. He wasn’t antsy to leave, and there was no compulsion to immediately run and steal. Instead, he relaxed in contentment, relishing the feel of Param snuggled up against him. Kai had savored every moment they spent together, and he committed it all to memory. He knew she was her most honest and genuine self with him. He had lived his entire life around liars, and he knew enough to know Param wasn’t one. At least not with him.

His hand lazily traced along her back until she asked her question. Kai’s face was difficult to read for a moment, and it would feel as if he had no inclination to answer. However, without warning, he gently grasped her and moved her to straddle his stomach. Kai gazed up at her, admiring the way her silver strands fell over her shoulders and her perfect skin. His hands traced along her thighs as he looked up at her.

“My name is Z’Kair,” He said quietly, including the Fiani accent to his pronunciation. The way he looked at her and the weight of his words strongly suggested this was not something he revealed to others lightly. It was something he guarded with everything he had, “I want you to call me Kai when we’re alone,” Kai said as he gazed at her.

“Almost everything you see on me was done by Sith,” He stated at last.

She rested her hands on his chest when he moved her to straddle his stomach. Her silver eyes lost a little of their concern, softening into a sort of longing stare. Every little movement and touch, the gentle caress of his hands on her thighs- it drove her absolutely crazy. He'd never stopped driving her crazy, from the moment he took her out for a night on Nar Shaddaa over a holocron to now. Her silver eyes moved from his eyes to his scars.

They rose to his eye when he spoke. Her jaw became slack, but nothing came out. She was speechless, trying to blink away tears that were already winning the fight. She was sad that he felt the need to hide his real name, happy that he shared such a deeply held part of him with her, and everything in between. Param tried to say something, but it ended up as a choked sob.

She lowered herself, cupping his face and pressed her lips to his. Everything she had, she put into it. Her anger that the Sith would do this to him. The sadness that he had lived a life that needed hiding. The happiness that he shared his life, his closely guarded life, with her. When she had poured everything she couldn't manage to say through the tears into the kiss, she slowly pulled away, straightening back up.

"Kai..." she said warmly with a bright smile, despite the streaks of tears on her cheeks. "I'm so sorry. I'm..." What could she say? They won't hurt him anymore? She couldn't promise that. As long a the Sith existed they would pit friends, lovers, and everyone against each other. They would continue hurting their own, hurting others, and without a care. "It's going to take a while, but I'm going to leave the Sith." The words flowed out of her before she could stop them, and the worst part was that she felt herself committing to them immediately.

Param lowered herself again, pressing herself against his chest. She embraced him as best she could, nuzzling herself face into his neck.

Kai stared calmly at her as the emotions roiled through her. He had no real reaction to the admission himself - he had lived with it for a long time. He was surprised to see the tears, but his face didn’t betray that. Hearing his real name spoken caused his ears to involuntarily swivel and his tail to wag, a glint appearing in his eye despite the tragic reveal of his scars and burns.

He didn’t want her to pull back from the kiss just yet, but he watched her go back to her perch. Her admission about leaving the Sith caused him to raise a brow. When she leaned down again, he held her to himself, but his gaze was on the ceiling. For a moment there was nothing but silence and the sounds of her quiet sniffling.

“If you leave,” Kai said finally, “Leave for yourself. Not for anyone else. Including me,” He reminded her. He didn’t want her to anchor herself that much to anyone else, even him. She had to walk her own path of her own volition. He had lived his life prioritizing his mother, and while he wouldn’t change it, it felt like shackles.

Kai held her close, his arms wrapped tightly around her. Kai traced feathery soft kisses along the side of her face. He touched his forehead to hers, looking as if he was going to say something deep and profound.

“I really should have grabbed those bread rolls..”

Param traced a finger along his jaw, down his neck that she'd recently marked with nibbles. Apparently the only Sith to ever put her mark on him in a good way. His embrace was warm, safe. Everything she wanted. "You dork. It would be for me," she said. She raised herself onto her elbows, her face only inches from his. "I don't want to be apart of what causes you pain. I don't ever want to cause you pain."

She rest her head back on his chest, enjoying him; his presence, his very being. "I don't care what you steal, or do, or who you space out the air-lock. I just want you." She wasn't anchoring herself; she was freeing herself. She enjoyed his feathery kisses, enjoy everything about every part of him being with her.

"Those rolls would have been kind of nice, huh? Why don't I make you some dinner this time?" She said, smiling as she gave him a gentle kiss on his lips. "Since I'm the reason we missed out on the nice one."

Kai was still skeptical about her leaving the Sith. He had worked with enough of them and around them to know it could be more difficult to leave than one of the crime families. He said nothing on the topic, enjoying the calm and cozy feeling of having Param in his arms. He turned to regard her as she offered to make dinner, “You can cook?” He asked with a tone of surprise. Kai’s stomach growled loudly, causing a chuckle from him. Kai kissed the top of her head before slipping off the bed.

Since he hated water, there was going to be no offer of showering together. He hopped in for about a minute and then was right back out and throwing on new clothes. Param could also freshen up, though her choices would be one of several of his shirts with some catchy phrase or Huttball logos.

Kai led her towards their kitchen area, which was much neater than before. Fred almost eagerly waved at her as they passed. Thanks to Flexo, the kitchen was fully stocked with ingredients, so Param had free rein.

The Fiani plopped down at the counter, grinning at her, “What’re we eating tonight, chef Param?”

"I've picked up a few things," she said with a smile. Watching him slide off the bed, and walk to the shower, she couldn't help admiring him. Following suit, Param slid herself to the edge of the bed. It was only now she noticed all the belongings he had stacked him his room. She recognized a few of them. Was that Trael's lightsaber? And that was the holocron she had wanted! Param giggled quietly, grabbing a shirt she had found and sliding into it. It was a simple black shirt that had the words "Oh For Fox Sake" on the front of it in bold white lettering. It was large enough to basically be a short dress on her. She emptied the bag of clothes, grabbing the panties from the lingerie set Kai had picked out and slid them on.

She didn't bother with anything else as Kai returned and led her toward the kitchen. Fred got a small visit with a couple of pets from her as she passed. He was doing so well! Param gave the plant an excited smile.

The kitchen was a lot nicer than Kai's previous ship. The space was wider, there was more room for ingredients that they seemed to have plenty of, and most importantly there weren't pizza boxes all over the counter. She opened the refridgerator, checking every shelf for ingredients, giving Kai quite the show as she bent over to check the bottom shelves. They had just about everything needed to cook almost any thing. Param was impressed.

"How do you feel about some spicy tempura?" she asked, turning to Kai with a smile. "I've learned a couple things about spices." It was mostly from making tea so much in her spare time, but it had translated pretty well to food, especially food involving some level of vegetable like seaweed.

Kai watched her wander around his kitchen, his chin resting on his hands propped up on the counter. There was something oddly peaceful about this that he hadn’t expected, and he found himself quietly relaxing. His tail lazily swayed side to side as he watched her wander around opening different cupboards and look through shelves. She would spot rows upon rows of Emryc Energy products ranging from the drink to protein powder to energy bars.

When Param finally decided on a dish, he looked surprised, “That…actually sounds pretty good,” He had half expected boxed mac and cheese. The Fiani watched her for a moment, sitting there and waiting for the food. After a few minutes, he finally rose to stand, walking over towards her, “How..can I help?” He asked. Kai knew his way around a kitchen, but making something with Param sounded oddly fun.

Param beamed when Kai said her idea sounded good. They had all the ingredients for tempura, even the seaweed! It was one of her favorite dishes outside of Tatooine stir fry. It was also pretty healthy, and Param was judging that Kai was starting to eat healthier from all the protein and vegetables they had in the kitchen. "Great!" she chirped.

It was like a whirlwind in the kitchen as she got out all the ingredients, and started the rice in the rice cooker. She grabbed a knife, happily twirling it in her fingers with an echani's grace for a second before she began to portion the fish. They had different kinds of fish, some more red, some pink, so they'd have a little variety in the taste. Her silver eyes rose to watch him as he got up. Her smile deepened when he asked if he could help.

"Yeah, can you cut the vegetables into little sticks?" she asked. They had various vegetables and they needed to be small so they could fit in the roll with the fish. She separated one of the fish pieces she had already cut so that he could use the size as a reference. "They don't need to be perfect, but a few should fit in the same space as the fish."

Her eyes stayed on him for a moment as he started. Param found it oddly satisfying just watching him. She could stand in this spot and watch him do anything for hours, she thought. Without a word she leaned over and kissed his jaw right where it met his neck. With a slight flush in her cheeks she returned to cutting the meat into small pieces.

“Now that I can do,” He said with a confident smirk. After all, he took on various jobs doing tricks chopping vegetables and cooking to show off his sidlian tricks. He began to gather the veggies, but he first switched on the Holo to one of his favorite music channels that also played the videos. A song came on and he immediately perked up. He began to rap with it instantly, fluently singing it in Fianan. The main singer and dancer was a Fiani woman that strutted across the stage to sing it, along with the rest of her all ladies band. It was clear this was one of his favorite bands and songs with the way he swayed to the music, sang along and swished his tail.

All of that didn’t intervene with his veggie chopping, his hands working effortlessly to spin and twirl knives to slice up exactly as Param requested. Kai was in the middle of singing a phrase when she leaned in to kiss him. The Fiani gave her a half grin, almost leaning in for more, but letting her return to cooking.

Kai finished his portion of the chopping and moved next to Param to help with the assembling once the rice was done. He glanced over at Param, his tail still dancing to the beat, “Where did you learn to cook?” He asked curiously. He didn’t think Sith were exactly running cooking classes at their spooky academies.
