[Jade the Protector]

Planet: Tython, where a Temple is still standing.
Time: Morning, a week after Erin is brought to the Temple.

Erin came to wakefulness, slowly, aware of a beeping. With a low moan, she opened her heavy eyes to white. Blinking, she saw she was in a medical center. Wait..... medical center! She jolted up to a sitting position in fear, only to sink back into the soft covers again, Erin had no strength. She saw an IV in her left arm, but why? Who was gifting her with this care? What did they want?

Erin steeled herself, ready for whatever came next.

The man was dressed plainly, the Knight wasn't one for fancy outfits and such, wearing simple Jedi robes under a jedi cloak, the man wondered around the medical center visiting those that were awake, and seeing what he could do for those that were not. With only his lightsabers and the forearm guards the Jedi had seen a few of the unlucky jedi that have gotten injured with the engagements with the Sith, though the war was distasteful, the Knight still found it was necessary for there to be one. Unless the Sith were stopped thing's would only get worse and instead of Jedi those purpose is the protection of life and to be the stewards of the living force, innocent people, women, children, and man will find nothing but death with the Sith's reign. And Brand was committed to protect them, though he wasn't above talking and hoping to rehabilitate those that have fallen, his first concern besides his brother was the lives of the people.

While deep in thought he wondered into a small room, where a young woman was getting treatment though he was a general he did not know of ever person coming in and out of the temples. With his hood down and his hair parted to the right the Jedi looked up to find the young woman panicking over her current situation, it was clear from her disposition and the waves her mind sent out though the force.

Putting on a calming smile and as his eyes shine with kindness and wishing to show that he was a gentle soul, he moved his single hand out of his cloak and put it up to do a small wave to the woman on the bed. Figuring best to take it slow with the woman as to not spook her.

"Hello there, name's Brand. May I know your name, ma'am." Brand spoke slowly and his tone reflected his relaxed and calm demeanor, as he spoke he focused on her eyes.

Erin instinctively flinched when the man raised his hand, she wasn't used to people waving to her.
"Hello there, name's Brand. May I know your name, ma'am." The statement made her mind freeze for a moment. No asked your name as a slave, you were an object to them.
"Erin, Master Brand." She said with the best bow she could muster while in bed and in her healing state. "My gratitude for aiding my in the preparation of serving you." She said, voice shaking.
She noticed something, the wieght on her neck was gone, the slave collar was gone. Confused she raised a hand to her neck, confirming that fact.

Brand eyebrows raised, his face for a moment quickly showed concern and worry from how she responded. It did explain a lot to the Jedi thought as he watched her reach to her neck, as if there was suppose to be something there which thanks to her response the Jedi knew what it was. Which did make him sad, but he quickly hid it behind a mask of kindness hoping not to upset her, a lot of people have asked not to be pitied to him and he figured now was not a time for that.

So considering his next few words wisely the Jedi hoped not to shock the young woman, while she was still weak but he wanted to tell her the nightmare is over and hope she doesn't have a negative reaction. Taking a few steps forward not to overshadow the woman but get just close enough to reach out for her if anything does happen.

"Erin, I am no one's master, and you won't be serving anyone else for as long as you life now. You are on Tython, in a Jedi medical center." Brand would wait and see how she receives the news, she might react positively which was what the Jedi wanted, but there was the odd chance she didn't react positively which the Jedi would than only might need to act to keep her safe.

Brand said still watching the woman hoping that she would be able to heal up, considering she just got out of slavery.

"Erin, I am no one's master, and you won't be serving anyone else for as long as you life now. You are on Tython, in a Jedi medical center."
Erin tipped her head in surprise. She was free? The word was still foreign to her, but it seemed to mean something. "you mean, I am not a slave....Sir?" She shrank back as Brand came closer. "How..long..will....I be.. here? How....long...have...I..been..here?" As she asked the questions, her mind screamed at her to stop asking. This could be a trick after all.

Brand was very in touch with the force and could feel her surprise as he explained she was free, but it seemed she wasn't very keen on getting close to him, which he couldn't really be surprise judging by her reaction to being free. Figuring it was best he sat down, hopefully allow her to feel better as he sat down in cross legged position. He would look up while he spoke next time just hopefully not to seem to pushy.

"I'm not a sir, and it only depends. You can stay here for as long as you wish, so long as you need help you can stay." Brand said as he began to call more on the force to feel for the young lady in front of him.

Brand could feel that she was both scared but also the fact she was strong in the force, which probably explained why he could feel her emotions easier. But of course he wasn't one to force a young scared woman into joining, nor did he think now was a good time of bringing it up but he would and probably should soon.

"You can relax, as Jedi it's my duty to help those in need, and seeing how you aren't at 100% my job is to help you out to the best of my abilities." Brand said to reassure her, looking back to the woman with a big smile and kind eyes, hoping that the young woman would get better soon.

Erin watched the man, starting to feel more at ease when he sat down. "Thank you..Sir...I mean.. Brand." She looked more at herself, some of the wounds were actually healing, wait.... she felt one on her back. It was still pulling on her skin. She looked at the IV, for some reason, it fascinated her. A sound made her jump, causing her to pull away from the unit the IV was hooked to. There was pain as the thing nearly came out. Blood started pouring from the needle.
Her jolts caused the wound on her back to open again.
Erin was scared, confused, and in absolute pain. She found herself almost crying despite trying not to.

Brand smiled as the young woman seemed to calm down, which was good meant he might be able to have a nice conversation with the young woman. Of course where to begin, Brand wasn't sure what he could bring up or how he should go about things. An as he thought of course he was slightly distracted not noticing that the woman was attempting to touch her wounds which any doctor would have known is a bad idea.

An when he looked back at the woman, he found that she was bleeding from her removing the IV in her arm, and the Jedi quickly reacted to hopefully mitigate the injuries. Rushing to the woman's side with worry and concern practically coming off him in waves, the Jedi would lightly grab hold of the woman's wrist and pull the arm towards him.

"Hold still please I can take care of this." Saying that he would let go of the woman, and grab hold of his cloak sleeve, using his right hand, he ripped off the entire sleeve and began to rip it into smaller pieces.

The effort wouldn't be long and eventually he would attempt to rap a long piece of cloth around the spot where the IV once was. Hoping to keep from any more blood from spilling out.

"It's going to be alright, the pain will go away soon." Brand said trying to ease the woman's worries and fears, though not focusing on the force he could pick up such emotions from her facial features.

She panted as Brand wrapped the cloth around her arm. Brand had ripped hi cloak to help her....why?
Gently a nurse came up with something in her hand. "Please, put this on, Dear." Erin complied, only to struggle as some sort of smell came from it. "Shshsh...don't fight, Dear, we're going to help you."
"No...please...no....I'm..sorry..." Erin begged, her struggles slowing, voice muffled from the thing she was wearing.

(OOC: They are prepping her for surgery)

Brand was focus more on handling the wound and didn't notice the young Jedi nurse come up and when she did Brand was glad that he wouldn't be alone in assisting this young woman. Watching the nurse give the young lady a gas mask, no doubt meant to help her sleep, figuring he should help her relax sensing her worry.

He place a single on her arm, and she would get a sudden feelings of happiness, calm and gentle memories that was not her own, memories of young Brand with his brother during their time with their mandalorian father. Many of those memories were only bright, but of course the truth was most of the times it was no good, though Erin would only feel and see happy memories hopefully to keep her calm.

"It's alright your going to be fine." Brand said hoping to keep her calm, though she would be passing out soon.

Something rushed into her, happiness....she had not felt this in a long time. In fact, she couldn't remember the last time she felt any of this. Erin slowly went limp as the images engulfed her, going fast enough she couldn't see them, but could feel the emotions from them.
Erin was feeling tired, images were blurring faster and faster, her eyes sliding shut. Strangely, this didn't spook her, in fact, she felt safe.....
This would be the last thought she would have for a while, right now, she felt the powerful urge to sleep.....


The nurse shook her head sadly. "Why would anyone harm the poor dear? Grew up too fast, I doubt she knows what joy or peace is. Not offending her or yourself, Brand."
