Hi there. We're about to bump up the timeline 4 years from the current 'date', so you're right on time for a fresh move forward with our site-wide plot. ^_^

To put it in a nutshell: several faction leaders want to push forward the development/restructuring of their factions and, in order for that to happen, a timeskip forward was necessary. After consulting with the forum community, we've decided (several weeks ago) to have the skip forward this upcoming Sunday. Since you're new and making a first character and all, your character will be permitted to be exempt from the aging stuff, assuming that he or she has not done anything major, ICly.

Tha mi toilichte ur coinneachadh!

As it's been said, were on the cusp of a small time jump, so you have the perfect timing to slip into a fresh start. If there are any questions, I'd be happy to answer what I can. Slàinte!

Working as a bouncer in Glasgow I believe is now ahead of Royal Marine patrolling in Sangin as world's most dangerous job

My gaelic is laughable at best so I'll just say it's great to meet you too!

Being a bouncer in Glasgow isin't that bad so long as you speak fluent Uruk-hai. Honestly, the only thing dangerous about the job is that wee Indian take away across the street. Blecht >_<

Thanks for the warm welcome guys!

^_^ Don't worry I don't get to use it much here anyway, at least not Gàdhlig, Though I throw out some craptastic " Gaeilge" for our resident paddy, and usually just to affectionately call him a rat bastard.

Though it if makes you feel more at home, I hail from the Inner Hebrides ( grew up in Portree) though I moved to the States years ago after Uni. So it's nice to see another from Alba ^_^

Lol lucky you, Living the dream. I want to moveo ut to the states too but I'm still in the process of thiking about it. Nice to see we have a paddy too. Always good for a laugh. Note to the resident paddy: I'll not be calling you a rat bastard wee man, That's just cruel and unusual. :P

Whoop! Your almost local. :p I'm from Strathclyde and before you ask no, it's not as bad as everyone says :/

lol* Shockingly in my 30 some years of life, I've spent little time in that area, namely to see family in Arden. I spent most of my time on the mainland up north.

It's interesting in the States though ( mind you my first place I called home was New Mexico...a mile high arid desert state ) major major culture and climate shock for a poor island quinnie. Im settled in the Pacific northwest now though. Love the climate " more akin to home" and the green and monster trees and mountains ( Northern Rockies, and Cascades.) is just breathtaking.

AND folks hear your accent and instantly want to tell you about their great grandmother who was from Aberdeen and want to tell you all about the local highland games festivals and all things related to our culture they have pieced together ( and mixed with irish things sometimes * lol)

it's sort of flattering, and annoying all at the same time. Though when you realize that Yanks like to try and find home roots because they don't naturally have them it's easier to understand their fascination and overwhelming pride.

way different than being home where " pride" is sort of a foreign concept sometimes.

Lol probably best you didn't spend much time. Around here most folks idea of a good night out involves throat slitting and sodomy. They're nice folk at heart I'm sure but most of the time their complete bawbags.

Sounds like you've found yourself a nice wee spot. Personally I was thinking somewhere in the south just because I'm a bit scunnurt with city life just now. I mean I live in a small town but I spend most of my time in Glasgow and it really annoys me. Still, the idea of a part of America that feels like home is a nice thought.

Aye I've heard the horrer stories. Apparently ever second person over there is 1/18th cherokee or somthing. Anyway, I'm sure it's somthing I'll get used to, although honestly...I'll end up sticking the head in someone if they refer to it as "scotchland"

I will be honest when I say I've only ran into a handful of people who are tying themselves to any of the tribes with less than reputable claims. and many of them are wankers trying to milk the tribal affairs boards for money because their welfare payments are not high enough to let them avoid working.

the rest and bulk majority are Scot/irish/( indian tribe) or german/(Indian tribe) and the bloodline goes back to after Culloden and kinslay when the brits sent us over to wipe out the " savages with the use of other savages)

but that backfired as apparently we got along with the natives swimmingly enough.
