The sun was rising on the largest city on the barren wasteland that was Ord Mantell. At some point in very distant history this planet might have been considered beautiful, with it's mountain ranges, snowy peaks, even a few random islands near the equatorial region. When ever that was Covax didn't know. What he did know was that it was a dung pile now and happened to be currently under the control of Mordeth the Hutt.

It was also the key to Covax's plan to expand Tenloss' control over the spice trade. As he had detailed for Em and Aska during their meeting. Ord Mantell would serve as the perfect central beach head to push their drugs into the core. All they had to do was dethrone yet another Hutt.

So here they were, united once again, setting up shop above an old noodle shop across from a seedy little cantina on the west side of Mantell city. The bar was a known hangout for the Weequay thugs that guarded the Hutt's palace in the mountains to the north. Covax had the last watch, letting his old partner get a few winks in before they set out to size up the area.

"You done being lazy ?" He questioned, hearing Aska finally start to stir.

Sometimes Aska wondered if maybe it was just time to hang up the blaster. Take what money she had earned, vanish into obscurity and live a peaceful life until the end of her days. She wasn’t getting any younger, every day a new kink or pain in her joints forcefully reminding her of this reality. Even so, the thoughts never lasted long. People like her, like Shane, couldn't escape this life for long. It had a way of drawing them back in at one point or another so why fight it?

Ord Mantell. She’d visited the world a few times in her past but nothing of any note had ever occurred to her here. Well, except for that one Iridonian girl… Aska smirked at the memory and pondered if she still worked at that dingy pub. Maybe when this was all done, she’d ‘check in’.

”Not really,” Aska grunted as she pulled the hood back from her eyes, stretching and yawning then reaching for her pack of cigarras. ”Time for breakfast,” the clone thought to herself as she lit her smoke. Sitting up and exhaling, she slid her boots off the couch’s arm rest and pushed herself into a sitting position with another yawn.

”But you’re also not gonna give me a choice so what’s our move? Neither of us are going to be able to just walk up to Mordeth’s stronghold pretending to be looking for work. We made sure of that when we fucked over Durr,” Reaching for an empty beer bottle to ash in, Aska stretched her arms wide as she pushed the fatigue down before continuing with a sly smirk. ”Then again, I’m sure both of us wouldn’t mind going down in a blaze of glory,”

Covax brought over a fresh hot cup of coffee for his partner. Placing it on a table beside her, then pulled a flask filled with whiskey from a pocked and placed it beside the cup. "Little hair of the bantha?" He said with a half smile. "There's also a spot around the corner. It's not Devaron, but would a couple of frags."

He moved to the window then as Aska sat up and reached for the empty bottle. The human looked about as the city slowly came alive and sipped on his own cup of bantha. He smiled as the clone's blaze of glory comment. "Only way we're ever getting out little sister." He commented.

"I did a little asking around while you were sleeping. Rumor is the big bitch is out of town, has been for a few months. Leaving her rat faced second in charge of the operations." Suddenly answering her real question. "It's been a rocky operation ever since. Lots to exploit there. Plus I already told you, first order of droids came in from Blackwell. We have about two dozen commando droids sitting on the Night Terror."

Covax turned back to his partner and took a seat in the easy chair across from her. Suddenly playing with his smartpad as he received a text from a certain Queen of the Mid Rim, @Electra Juvexia. He put the cup down and replied with an odd smirk on his face Aska had likely never seen. Joy, maybe.

Reaching for the flask, Aska spun the cap off with her thumb before topping off the cup of caf to the point it was nearly over filled. Setting the whiskey down and proceeding to take a large swig, she soon repeated the process until the cup was essentially mixed to half and half. Only then was she satisfied and replaced the cap.

”More droids, “ the clone groaned as she took another draw from her cigarra, a look of exasperation painting itself across her features. ”Lovely,” she added before taking a swig from her cup. It never seemed to fail, her working with robots. It was one of the benefits of her role whilst being in the outer rim. It was easier, and cheaper, to hire some wanna-be gangsters than it was to purchase a platoon of droids. However, she couldn’t deny that the difference in skill and effectiveness was drastic so it was a compromise she’d willing make.

As Covax began fiddling with his smartpad, Aska watched curiously as her partner smiled at the device. She wasn’t naive and she knew Shane. That little smile signified more than he’d likely admit. Smirking at his pleasure, the clone once again spun off the cap of the flask and took a direct swig of it’s contents before chasing it with the coffee/whiskey mixture in her cup. She would give him a moment to swim in whatever joy he had found, so why not finish her breakfast?

”I did a bit of research myself,” Aska finally interjected, dropping the finished cigarra into the empty beer bottle. ”Mordeth owns and operates a bar a short distance from here. I say we check it out. No doubt there are going to be some lieutenants of the slug’s holding the place down. Could be a good first step,”

Aska didn’t wait for Shane’s response. Finishing her cup of caf, if it could still be called that, and began to pull a change of clothes from her suitcase. Drab robes and a scarf to cover parts of her face would suffice and would conceal her weapons beneath. ”Let’s get to it, then,”

"When did you have time, you know with all that drinking and hitting on slave dancers?" Covax injected as Aska tried to continue. Covax did nod though after she explained herself. It was a solid idea, he would happily admit. Not that he could because Aska was up and changing before he could get another word in.

Seeing that his partner was suddenly eager to get after it. Covax quickly finished getting int a set of scrap miners coveralls he'd pick up from a local second hand store near the port. Then took a little dust from his the top of his boots. Dotting it around to make him look like he'd worked the night shift at one of the scrap piles outside the city. Tucking away his holdout, his blade, and his phone.

The pair then walked out the tiny apartment and down to the street. Covax napped a rap of some kind from a cart, tossing the vendor a ten chip before getting a bottle of blue milk to wash it down with. Devouring his own meal along the way to the bar. Aska giving him a look of either amusement or bewilderment. It was hard to tell under her scarf.

"What, I'm hungry. Force knows one of us is going to start something before our food arrives when we get there." He answered her accusing look.

The two local looking crime bosses then made their way to the Menagerie. As expected, a thug guarding the door with an old slug thrower. Covax polished off the milk and handed the thug the bottle. "Here, it'll do more damage then that old scrape you're holding."

”Maybe you should consider, y’know, breathing between bites? You keep eating like that and you’ll need a bigger seat put in Mordeth’s throne room,” Aska teased as they approached the bar. Even given the early hour the music could be heard out in the street. There was one thing that could be counted on from the scum in every corner of the galaxy; they knew how to party and didn’t know when to stop. She was going to like it here.

Then again, as she crossed the threshold and into the menagerie, it became clear this wasn’t the kind of club she was expecting though she should have known better. Rather than a cohort of beautiful yet exhausted women dancing on tables through the night, the pair were greeted by scantily clad men of a variety of species. Neither of the hunters were going to find any enjoyment there. Strictly business, then.

”First thing we’re changing when we assume control,” Aska began whispering to Shane, her lips concealed by the scarf. ”is getting some more variety in this place,” she finished disdainfully. While her disguise shrouded her identity, it didn’t conceal her frame and some of the bolder dancers approached her and pulled her away from Shane.

”Our shift is almost over but we can make some time for you, doll,” a what-would-be rather attractive human man whispered as he and his Twi’lek partner began to usher her towards a table.

”Wait, what? No, I-” the clone began to argue but they were clearly hopped up on spice from the duration of their shift and didn’t hear a word she said. As much as she hated the idea, she was along for the ride. Maybe she could pressure some useful information from the pair? ”Fuck sakes… The things I do for credits…” the clone groaned as she was pushed down into a booth.

"hmhnsdm" He chewed, "Maybe, but I'll still live longer than you. Mrs whiskey for breakfast, rum for lunch, and spice for dinner." Covax fired back between bites. The former merc then started bobbing his head to the thumping coming from the bar as they approached. Looking toward his partner he could feel as much as see her little grin.

Then, oh then Covax almost lost his first breakfast. Not from the fact the they were now swimming in sausage, but from the fact there was likely no othe female in the galaxy that did not want it more than Aska Ryun. So he almost choked laughing as he took notice of her reaction.

"I couldn't agree more." Agreeing with Aska's sentiments, between breaths. Covax then watched as the dancer pulled her away. "Oh, yes. Hey fellas, it's her birthday. Show her a good time." He lied. Then pulled a couple hundred in credits from a pocket on his coveralls, then tossed them on the table nearest to his....partner. The towering human was also nearly approached by a admittedly good looking Zabrak. "Sorry son. Just tacos for me." He fired at the man, Then gave him a look that told him not to press to invite.

Covax then bellied up to the bar, and perhaps the only other woman in this place other than Aska. "What'll you have stud." The larger of the two females asked. "I'll take a steak and eggs for myself. Cold beer to wash it down. My little sis there, is on a liquid diet. Top shelf for her please." Covax answered. Giving the woman a wink as he put down yet another hundred credit chip on the bar. Nothing opened up mouths like credits, well maybe bolts to the knees. But Em had advised to try and to this differently. So, credits.

It was taking everything she had to not throw up into her scarf as the Twi’lek man began to gyrate in front her. At certain points, as she pushed her head as far back into the cushion of the booth as she could, there were mere inches between her face and his privates, the only thing separating them being the thin fabric man-thong he covered himself with. An irritated glare was shot towards Covax as he made himself comfortable at the bar with the only two women in sight.

”Birthday, huh? Your brother seems eager to spoil you on your big day,” the Twi’lek whispered as he slid in beside Aska for a momentary pause in his display, lifting one of his lekku and draping it behind the clone’s neck.

”Lucky me…” she growled, trying to not come across as entirely disgusted. When they got out of here, Shane would be lucky if he didn’t get a blaster hole through his foot.

”You know, when I’m ready to get out of here for the day, maybe you and I could keep this party going at my place?” the smell of his breath was so wildly off putting that it forced Aska to turn away for a momentary breath of ‘fresh’ air but as she looked back at the man, she saw something only too familiar.

”You look like the party stopped about half an hour ago,” As she rustled through the pocket of her disguise, she soon found a small glass vile containing a burgundy dust-like substance that she would discreetly display to the dancer. His eyes soon came to life with hunger, nodding for the human man to give them some space. ”Want a hit?”

With a devilish stare and smirk to match, the Twi’lek wrapped his fingers around the hand that bore the vile of spice whilst his other moved up to lower the scarf around her face.

”Nuh uh,” Aska teased, pulling back from his touch and finally settling in to the ruse. Shuffling towards the table and popping the cork, the clone poured the dust out into two lines. Careful to ensure he did not see her face, Aska lowered her head to the table and pulled the scarf back only long enough to snort the drug before replacing it and offering a straw to the man beside her. ”It’s all I’ve got left, though,” Aska whispered as the man came back up from his share.

”Seems you and your brother aren’t hurting for cash,” the Twi’lek’s tone was sly as he watched Covax tossing around credit chips. ”I might have a guy here who can help you out… for a price,”

Bingo.

”Is that so? Well, take me to him then,”

With that, the Twi’lek stood and took Aska’s hand before guiding her towards the back rooms. As they passed by the bar and Covax, Aska fired him the most venomous stare she had ever delivered the man while flipping him off with her free hand.

Covax continued to be amused by the fact Aska was close enough to the man's junk she coule feel the sweat beading off it as he danced around. He knew he would pay for it later. It was how their partnership worked. Giving each other a ration under the pressure of certain death.

"Mm, I really missed that bitch." He whispered to himself aloud. It was shortly then that the burly looking human woman returned with Covax's meal. With a smile, he started cutting into his meal. Only this time starting to eat it with tiny little bites. Looking around as he chewed. His partner suddenly walking past, giving him the single finger salute. "Bye sis, have fun."

The crime boss then returned his attention to the woman. "I can help but notice, this place isn't exactly overflowing with clients. What gives." He asked, putting another bite in his mouth.

The bartender, Tante, sized up the would be merc. "Yeah, it's been a little slow. Why do you ask" The woman leaned on the bar then as burned holes into Covax with he eyes. He couldn't see it, but he felt as much as heard the shift of a weapon under the bar. "No reason." he continued to eat his meal. talking and eating. "I just heard some things is all."

"Like what?" Tante fired back. Then looked to a couple of the larger male dancers. Likely the new guards, since Covax didn't spot the usual thugs one would expect. "Like Mordeth isn't in charge any more ?" firing back before finishing the last bite and taking a pull from his beer. The sudden click of a safety clicking off filled the air then.

As she was guided through the back channels of the would-be brothel, the arm of the Twi’lek dancer draped across her shoulders whilst he waggled the end of a lekku under her chin, Aska silently took stock of the situation. Most of the rooms sat empty, doors wide open. Not what she would have expected though given the hour perhaps not entirely suspicious. Dare she say she was honestly relieved that there wouldn’t be too many moans of pleasure for once in her life. None, in fact.

”It’s oddly quiet here, isn’t it?” the clone asked of the dancer as he continued to guide her down the hall.

”Been that way for awhile,” the man muttered quietly, his composure diminished from the spice he had been doing all night. ”Most of the business that comes through here now is for the man we’re going to visit,” he added, finishing with a deep snort to clear his nostrils.

”So he isn’t the one who runs the place then?” Aska queried, putting on her best tone of innocence. This persona made her want to vomit but it seemed to benefit her thus far. The man simply chuckled as he came to a stop at the only closed door in the back.

”No, no he doesn’t,” he said with a sly smirk before activating the door, it sliding open to reveal a middle aged Mirialan sitting at a desk, four Weequay thugs standing in each corner of the office. On the desk sat a scale and a large pile of glittering spice atop a hand mirror.

”Oy, who’s the dame, Pod?” the Mirialan asked, his eyes wide with adrenaline and euphoria. High as a kite, she surmised.

”She’s lookin for some spice, boss. Thought you could help u-”

”So you just sit here and get high on your own stock?” Aska interjected, finally pushing the Twi’lek off her and removing her hood to reveal her hair though keeping the scarf drawn across her face. ”No wonder Mordeth wants me to replace you. You’re sucking her dry,”

”An’ just who the fuck are you, exactly?” the Mirialan, clearly agitated by the immediate allegations, stood from his chair with both hands planted firmly on his desk. His body language was all the signal needed for his guards to stand at the ready.

”I already told you,” Aska stated calmly. ”With Mordeth on sabbatical, she’s asked me and my partner to come reign in her operations on Ord Mantell. Starting with you,” While she was locked in a stare down with the drug dealer peddling Mordeth's merchandise, Aska was woefully ignorant to what was taking place in the main chamber of the Menagerie.

"Who the fuck are you?" Spat the over sized human woman. Arm still under the bar, but judging from the click, she was likely pointing a scatter blaster at his gut. Covax, didn't even flinch. "Me? Did I forget to introduce myself. I'm sorry." He reached out a hand to shake the woman's. "Covax."

The woman visibly twitched, then stammered. "You...you one of those mercs who took down that guy who massacred those fish people?" For some reason the woman actually let her guard down a little. "As a matter of fact. Was looking to do a deal with your boss. Spend some of that bounty money." He tried to ease the woman a little more. Work his way into her good graces. Perhaps made in introduction to the new boss.

Sadly the crime boss was also not aware of the game his partner was trying to play in the next room. It would seem the two partners would need some work in communication with one another. Time had not done them any favors. Now it was a matter of who's plan worked first, or perhaps, better.

”Mighty suspicious, I’d say,” the Mirialan growled though it seemed that he still retained some degree of respect for his Hutt Overlord’s influence, belaying giving the guards an order to wipe her out. The intoxicated Twi’lek dancer, not wanting to get himself involved in any sort of spat between his dealer and his employer, took a step back but was kept within the room by the guard nearest the door. ”Ain’t none of us heard from Mordeth in ages and now y’come in here and try to tell me she’s barkin orders ‘gain?” he continued, cutting his sentence to snort back whatever spice remained in his nostrils and stoking his high. ”Nah, that don’t make no sense up in my eyes, lady,”

”You’re really that dense? You really think that the derailed income from this place escaped her notice? Spice sales aren’t enough to keep a brothel afloat, especially when the guy in charge of those sales keeps putting it up his nose rather than out into the street,” Aska spoke calmly, but with purpose. A small benefit from only being a couple drinks and hits against sobriety. She was confident on all levels, no nervous shakes or erratic behavior. Though perhaps after this was all done, she’d rectify that.

”It ain’t my responsibility to keep this place chalked up with perverts and whores! It-” he began to argue back but the clone quickly interjected.

”Except those perverts and whores serve as a potential channel for your product, and with Mordeth gone it should be something you’d consider taking charge on. But you haven’t. Hence why I’m here,” As she spoke, she could see the unease in the guards around her. Certainly they were ordered to comply with this man’s word but if this woman truly was here under Mordeth’s command, then she was the one who called the shots. Fortunately, grunts weren’t the brightest bunch in the galaxy. ”You four, step outside so this moron and I can discuss what’s going to happen next,” The weequay all exchanged bewildered looks amongst themselves before complying, the door sliding shut behind them as they ushered the dancer alongside. Now all she needed was a bit of time.

Things seemed to take a turn. As the four goons from the back returned to the front, along with the dancer. The woman was having none of it. "Where the fuck have yall been, and where is got girl." She grunted towards one of the Weequay. Who gave the woman a shrug. "She's in the back, says she's Mordeth's new Enforcer. Telling Jeb to kiss the ring, and fall in."

"She always was better at this part of the job." Covax thought to himself. Covax quickly stood then, and in a practiced fluid motion, parted the coveralls and pulled his pistol from it's hidden holster. Before the Weequay talking to the bartender could think, he got a bolt to the head.

Followed by the others, Each getting a quick double tap in the chest before they could even lift their weapons. And by the time the bodies hit the ground. Covax's pistol was at the woman's head. "See, this is why I like to use droids. spiced out thugs can't protect their swinging dick let alone millions of credits in product."

The few drunks hanging around, hit the door. With dancers quickly following after. Soon it was just two of them. "Don't make me." Covax explained, "I'd rather work something out and keep you and your fuzzy little friend around. But if you so much as pass gas, you'll join your useless security."

The woman thought about it a moment and realized she didn't wanna die for today. Not if there were options yet to be played. "Oh...ok, Ok."

Now that it was only Aska and this drugged out moron, the clone was confident she had the upper hand. Between the two of them, she was certain she could force him to comply with her wishes and if not? Well, breaking a finger or two had a wonderful chance of persuading people to see things her way.

”Why don’t you put the dust away and we can talk like a couple of grown ups, hm?” Aska began as she took a few steps towards the man’s desk, her hand hovering carefully over her SE-45 that was safely tucked away underneath her poncho. With the absence of his guards, she could see the desperation grow behind his purple eyes. It was a funny thing. When you live a life of violence, it becomes easy to see experience in that field in the eyes of others. This man? He was a child playing with grown up toys. Without his muscle at his side, his projected strength waned exponentially.

”Look, we can work something out, alright? There’s no need to-” Yet as he spoke, blaster fire from the main room echoed down the empty hall just outside their door. The eyes of both the dealer and the hunter met as they snapped wide.

”Fuck,”

Whether he was jumping for cover or for a concealed weapon, Aska didn’t waiver or waste a moment. Her hand dug through the layers and drew the weapon from it’s holster. Like an artist painting smooth strokes on a canvas, the clone’s thumb flipped the blaster to it’s stun setting, settled on the small of the man’s back and fired. As the blue ring collided into it’s target, Aska cursed as she pulled the scarf back from her face before storming back into the main room to offer Covax any sort of assistance.

Poking her head around the corner, blaster held up and at the ready, she was greeted by the scene of the smoldering corpses of the guards she had just sent away as well as Shane and a rather burly looking woman at the end of his weapon.

”You really can’t go five minutes without frying someone, can you?” the clone growled, nudging one of the bodies with the toe of her boot. ”I mean, I know she’s the only other woman here but is she really worth killing over?”

"Wha...what did you have in mind?" Tante asked. Careful not to move. Even though she was starting to cramp. The large woman had no doubt that the killer before her as the skill to keep his word.

"I don't feel like explaining myself twice, nor do I feel like walking into a fortress. You're going to send a message to your fuzzy little friend. What's her name?" Covax said. Waving his gone for the woman to reply.

"Heleen." the woman grumbled. "Yeah, that one." Covax lowered the pistol and held it slight down and pulled to his chest. If he had to he could snap the gun up and double tap her before she got a shot off. Tante took it as a sign he could lower her arms and take a breath.

It was then that Aska finally decided to rejoin the party. "Well if you didn't go off cowgirl-ing around." He said peeking at the stoned green skinned humanoid behind his partner "Says the player who suddenly switched sides? For that?" He retorted, nodding toward the drug dealer.

Meanwhile Tante suddenly tried to bolt for the door. Seeing the only opening she might get. If she could reach the door she could get to the palace. Or so she hoped.

Aska sneered at Covax as he made his comment about her ‘switching sides’. Like she could ever find anything pleasurable about the swinging and swaying appendage between a man’s legs. She’d rather press her face on a hot iron before even considering that deplorable act. Then again, it would probably be more beneficial to sear said appendage rather than her own face; save other women from the torment of being harassed by it and save more women for her. Get two birds stoned at once, some might say.

As Tante made her break for the door, Aska’s eyes never moved from her partner but rather held the look of disapproval from his comment as her arm holding her blaster lifted towards the door. Before the second woman could even make it past the first clientele booth, she squeezed the trigger. With her blaster still set to stun, the bartend maid slammed into the ground in an unconscious lump far louder than that of the body guards or the drug dealer out back. Only when Tante was on the ground did the clone glance back at her.

”She’s definitely a big bitch,” Aska said plainly as she holstered her weapon. Moving towards the bar, she would sit down on the counter and swing her legs over before dropping to her feet on the other side. ”Maybe she’s more your type than I gave her credit. If you want, I can leave you alone with her for… what do you need? Two, three minutes? We’ve got time,” Aska teased as she pulled two pint glasses from the bar bay. As though she’d been working a bar her entire life, both pint glasses held in one hand whilst a single finger flipped the tap while her free hand sat on the counter. One glass, then the other, then shutting the tap off, she would slide one glass of beer to her partner.

”Maybe next time knock her out and tie her up before you start making demands of her, though,” the clone continued to tease as she finished taking a swig from the beer. From her place at the bar, she could still see the snivelling dancer who had taken her out back to pick up some spice, frozen in place from fear. A gloved hand slid along the underside of the bar before finding a security switch. She could flick it and one of two things would happen, she surmised. Either the door would seal shut and allow the team to interrogate their prisoners or it would send off an alarm and they’d need to collect anything the could and hightail it out of here. Fortunately, she always was a gambling woman.

As she activated the switch, the doors and windows all slammed shut with no indication of an alarm being relayed. Lady luck, it seemed, still was on her side. With a smirk and a sip of beer, Aska coyly waggled her finger at the scantily clad young Twi’lek man then motioned for him to come closer. ”Let’s have a little chat about how someone who’s not invited can get into Mordeth’s palace, shall we?”

Covax gave his best friend an ear to ear shit eating grin. Which he knew would only add to the salt. The crime boss could only assume the number of things his sister from another mister would do before ever jumping on a meat stick. But took great comfort in the knowledge that just suggesting in would send her brain into a tailspin.

He did however continue to hold the clone's look of distaste with his own. After the mess they had both made of this op. It was nice to see to feel like they were back on the same page. He would flinch then, not at the shot. But rather the crash of the other woman slamming into a near by table, only to skid a few inches. Like a charging rancor hit with a E-Web. Covax then looked over. "You did set it for stun, yeah?"

"You've done bigger."
He teased. As he followed after the clone, stepping on and over a guard who he'd shot dead just moments earlier. Covax sighed and took a seat at the bar just a few spots down from where his partner was pouring like a pro. Then snort laughed at the minutes. "First, I'll have you know I'm dating. She's a little self absorbed, but a Lothcat in the sack. Second, you can give me a little credit. Five maybe six minutes minimum. Ten if I'm drinking." Covax returned, before taking the beer and then a huge swig. "Beerrrp...Ahh. Besides, I know how much you like fucking strays. This one is a little heavier, maybe she'll stick around a while.?"

Covax then finished off the beer while Aska played around with, whatever she was doing behind the bar. He put the glass down and was about to find a smoke in his utility belt when the down of the windows and doors slamming shut all around him force him to look up once more. The impressed look on Aska's face told him all he needed to know. "I didn't see any good knives, I'll see if they have a tool bag in the back...Oh, or maybe one of those torches spice heads love to use." He trailed off. Giving his partner a moment to play with her desert before he came back in.

As Covax made his departure to the back in search of mock tools of the trade, Aska made her way around the bar with her pint glass in hand. Taking a long swig, her gloved hand would reach out and grab the Twi’lek by one of his lekku before pulling him along back to a chair at the counter. Near simultaneously as she pushed him down to sit, she slammed the empty glass on the bar at her side with a smack of her lips.

”Nothing like a nice cold drink before you get to work, y’know?” Aska teased the whimpering dancer as she pushed her SE-45 into his mouth. She didn’t want to hear from him, not yet. If he even knew anything useful. Every predator played with their meal before they dove in, after all. With her finger on the trigger, ignoring his continuing snivelling, the clone plucked a pair of cuffs from her belt and dangled them in front of his eyes. ”Mordeth ever invite you to rub up on her belly, big guy?” she asked, the left cuff swinging back and forth before him like a hypnotism amulet. All she got back was sobbing as he slowly shook his head in denial. Clicking her tongue against the roof of her mouth softly, the clone responded. ”That’s unfortunate. I suppose that makes you the most disposable person in this room, doesn’t it?” she countered before pulling the muzzle of her blaster from his mouth and proceeding to pistol whip him across the side of the face rendering him unconscious. ”I hope you realise you’re not leaving here alive,” she whispered in his ear.

After Aska cuffed the unconscious man to his chair and returned to the back room to drag the Mirialan dealer into the main chamber, the clone then proceeded to locate the manager’s office and shut down any security feeds. It was then that Covax returned with what appeared to be the maintenance man’s tool box. A devilish smirk crossed her lips as she contemplated the possibilities that may lay inside.

”Dating, hey?” Aska queried of her partner as she flipped the lid of the toolbox open and retrieved a roll of duct tape. Moving to the dancer, she tore a piece free and plastered it across his lips. ”Blind, deaf and dumb? She must be,” she teased. But it recalled a moment during their meeting with Emryc that at the moment, she was cautious of indulging herself. Yet she had… concerns.

”So… she the one you squirted a kid into?” the clone continued on as she moved over to Tante, grunting as she pushed the apparent woman up into a sitting position and secured her wrists with the tape, leaving the Mirialan for her partner to restrain. ”Can’t say I think it was one of your best moves,” Satisfied with the restraints in place, Aska pushed herself back and looked directly at Covax, a genuine look of concern on her face. ”Children are liabilities in our line of work, Shane. You know that, and you know that… he is more of a monster than what the galaxy could ever suspect,” He being Emryc, of course. While the building was locked down and the security footage was shut down, she wasn’t keen on taking chances on any unknown back ups still running and his name being dropped for the public or any of their enemies to potentially discover. ”One slip. One fuck up. He knows how to hurt you now,”

Despite all the razzing and constant insults flung back and forth between them, Covax was likely the only person left in her life that she actually cared if he lived or died. He had to know that if anything happened to this crotch goblin of his, it was all on him.
