New in Town

Good day everyone. I used to spend a great deal of my time on free-form roleplaying forums, but it's a habit that I gradually dropped as I got older. But recently I found myself with a bit of an itch for a Star Wars roleplay; no one to play tabletop with, no video game that would give me the world-building experience I wanted, so I figured I would try and find a free-form site. The rest is history.

I have been spending the last day or so reading the rules and various guidelines; the combination of free-form play with a thoroughly-defined set of guidelines to operate within is quite appealing. I've also been puttering away on a character sheet for an aspiring Sith Sorcerer. Knowing that Sith Magic is in a bit of a fuzzy area regarding the canon/Legends split, but that it's definitely being included somewhat, I was wondering if anyone might know whether any resources on that might be hidden in the Lore pages or somewhere else, aside from the mention on the general outline pages for the Force?

I'm looking forward to getting everything setting up and finding a place in the community ^_^

I just realized that I can throw a WIP version of my character in the Player Workshop, get feedback on it as I go until it's ready to be moved into the Character forum. So I'll probably have something out for people to look at a bit sooner than planned :D

That said, I already have a lot of the rough concept worked out for the character, mostly just have to work on the nuts and bolts. But something else that occurred to me is that I can start looking for people with some plans for what they want to do in the next timeline, find other characters for mine to interact with, in concert or opposition depending. I'm not certain where the best place to post that kind of thread would be, in search of potential plots and associates?

Thanks Blueberry, I completely missed the additional sections on the Light/Dark sides when checking out that guide the first time. It raises some new questions, but it's definitely leading me in the right direction! ^_^
