⌬ THEME ⌬
The wind was smacking him in the face continually. His cheeks were numb and he was pretty sure he swallowed a bug somehow despite not opening his mouth. The reason for this, there was a giant hole in the acrainian cutter he was piloting. The ship had been taken from a Sith Crusader not an hour ago. Now Brent was flying towards a village in hopes of getting the cockpit quickly sealed up and safe to pilot into space.

"Miss pointy ears...you doing alright?" He asked with some amount of genuine concern despite the name calling. If she corrected him that would be fine with him, that meant she had enough energy to still be kicking. She had been rendered unconscious earlier and had recently become lucid again. She had been focusing on trying to heal herself and was probably a few steps away from passing out again. "We're almost to the village. I'll take another look at those injuries once we stop alright?"

It was just visible on the horizon. The ship was moving slower than normal. Partially from the mild damages but also because he did not want want to feel what it was like to get a bird in the face at the speed of sound. The ship would come in for a landing. Already some nearby pedestrians were stopping and staring at the cutter. The landing gear groaned and one even bent further from the strain and damages the belly of the ship had received. "That doesn't sound good."

How do I get off of this blasted planet! Kye had been separated from his small GA strike team on the recent Tython attack. It hadn't gone as well as they thought - especially for Kye, as he found himself alone, without a ride off the planet. An hour beforehand, he had stumbled upon a small village. He was now scouring the streets looking for something that could help him.

It was about then he heard a strange noise, and noticed a commotion near the outskirts of the village. Krif. He thought as it could be a sith patrol. Moving quickly through the crowd he glimpsed the battered ship landing. Who is this...

Kye stepped slowly forward, extending his sense and reaching out to see who or what was inside the ship. It was battered, but it may be a way off-world.

She had pushed herself past her limits. Far past her limits. Sakadi barely felt the wind smacking against her face, as she fought to stay conscious. She had entered a healing trance when she caught the blaster bolt, but not even her healing techniques would be of any help at this point. She looked pale, sickly and was on the verge of puking. The injury she had sustained could have been life threatening, were it not for the power of the Force and her fellow Jedi's care.

Carefully did her hand slide over her chestplate, moving to her injury . The cut was deep, the wound large. And more importantly, it burned like hell. She didn't even hear Brent talking over everything she felt, everything that distracted her. She saw his mouth moving with her blurry vision, but that was about it.

Sweating from the healing trance which she tried to keep going, did her mind wander off to her encounter with the Sith. She could've won that kriffing fight, were it not for that lightsaber. A double bladed weapon, with crossguard and the function to split? Yeah, it had caught her completely by surprise. If they ever met again, however, she'd demolish him.

But none of that mattered to the Knightess. Not her devastated body, not her loss to the Sith Crusader, but the fact that she had failed the Grandmaster. That they had lost the Forge, no, lost Tython. What was to be the beacon of hope for the free Galaxy had turned into a failure.

Sakadi clenched her teeth together tightly as Brent initiated the landing. He may have been a good pilot, but the damaged state of the ship made it near impossible to prevent the turbulence that came paired with the landing. Taking another deep breath, Sakadi delved deeper into her trance.

Powering the ship down he took the time to lock the ship down. Then again, it had big hole in it. His port scanner had given him access so for now he just used the basic security redundancy that the Crusader had put in place. Brent had sent a communication to Arda. So they might be going to pick her up after this.

Getting out of the seat he went over to Sakadi. "Hey, wake up sleeping beauty. I don't think you'd want me kissing you awake. I prefer to only lock lips with women who give consent. So if you don't wake up I'll just smack you a bit." He was joking of course and did nothing but a little nudge to rouse her from her trance. Going to get the first aid kit from the bulkhead he grabbed it and brought it over to Sakadi's side.

"Let me see." His hand gently moved Sakadi's that was trying to keep pressure around the wounds she had sustained. He began to apply more thurough first aid and make sure the wound would not get infected or any worse as the Knight moved around. The kolto from the rev-all he had given her earlier along with her own healing trance had made her capable of being concious and mobile now. But it would be awhile before she would be moving beyond a normal walking speed probably.

Getting up, he put the first aid kit back and disengaged the loading ramp. By the time he got outside a few people from the village had gathered. Most of them were twi'leks but there were a few others in there too. Seeing in the crowd a Bothan staring particularly hard at him Brent just looked back at his recently stolen ship and then returned to look back at the Bothan like it was just any other day.

Kye shoved through the crowd. The man inside gave a rather... human look. He needed to get closer to see how bad the damage was. And, as he approached his heart sank. The landing gear was crooked. There were gouges in the belly of the ship, and with a hole in the blast shield... well, it wasn't going to be space worthy.

Feeling particularly "jedi-ish" Kye called out as he approached, "Do you have any wounded?" His Bothan voice gravely. Perhaps it was the force, perhaps it was a gut feeling, but Kye stepped forward to speak with the man quickly before Sith came to investigate - he was running out of time.

"Who are you?" Kye asked, eyeing the human up and down, and inhaling deeply. Kye wrinkled his nose slightly at the smell of burning flesh and sweat. This one had been in the battle. "Are you with the Alliance?"

Kye hadn't been on many field missions and didn't know many people.

For a brief moment, her trance allowed her to escape from the pain of her wound, as the pain slowly faded and felt less severe. That was, until her ally woke her up again.

Snapping back to reality, Sakadi stared straight at the Padawan. She was a little shocked to see him standing so close to her; she had no recollection of even getting in the spacecraft to begin with. Heck, she didn't even know how the battle had ended. All she knew, was that she had lost her duel.

She allowed Brent to treat her wounds, but the Knightess didn't really respond to anything he said. She was still contemplating over their loss. Besides, she was too depleted to perform her usual telepathic speech and she doubted that Brent understood sign language. When he was done, Brent prepared to go outside. She lacked the strength to join him however, so she decided to stay aboard the ship instead.

After a minute or so, the Sephi took a deep breath and pulled herself up from her chair. She almost collapsed again, as she tried to find something to hold on to. With trouble, she moved through the ship, holding on to anything that could provide her with support, as she opened various lockers aboard the ship. She was looking for a specific item. Well, item.. A tool, one similar to what she had lost.

Still a little dazed, Sakadi went through the stuff that formerly belonged to the red-skinned Sith she had faced. She went through Sith scriptures, armor parts, simple tools, but none of it caught her interest. Except that one item she was looking for. From the brief exchange she had with the Sith, she believed to know what kind of man he was. If she was right, he would have it here. And he did.

After opening the fifth locker or so, Sakadi found the tool she was looking for. A compact, fancy hilt, resonating with the Dark side. The Sith had a spare lightsaber aboard his ship. The hilt felt cold when she took it; the corrupted crystal reacted heavily to the touch of the Knightess, that much she could tell. For now though, it would serve its purpose.

"Yeah but I think she'll manage" He said generally to whomever had inquired about the injured. "I'm someone looking to get my ship repaired." He answered. If this Bothan could help with that then he would maybe tell him his actual name then but for now he was focused on being space worthy rather than introductions with a random local.

"There's one that operates a shop just down the block. He'll service your ship where its parked though." Said one of the other members of the crowd. Other people were listening. Another reason he did not want to openly say he was a jedi and with the alliance. "Thanks." he said and started walking with a purpose down the block.

He would head into the shop and see some older fellow. His shirt was stained, probably from working on other vehicles recently. "Howdy" Brent said as he came to the counter. The man barely looked up from his data pad containing the 'Deep Core Brain Twister" of the week.

"I've got a ship that needs some repairs. Can't fly very well with a broken cockpit window." The man raised his eyes from the datapad again, this time with a more acknowledging look but one that had judgement as well as some mild curiousity. "We mostly work on speeders and bikes. Not a lot of ships come in an out of here." He threw a thumb over his shoulder at the numerous speeder bikes and a few land speeders. "Can you do it?" He asked again. The man did not say no. Instead he tapped his datapad, switching to a more proffesional screen where he could record the damages he would inspect. "We'll have to see. She down by the landing pads? Lead the way. Juilz!" He yelled. "What?!" a female voice replied. "I'm going to check on a ship. Mind the shop!" A swear came through as metal on metal clattered in the background. "Fine!" With that said and done they started heading back to the landing pads.

"I know my way around a shhip." The Bothan spoke quickly. He grew up on a planet filled with intergalactic travelers.

Perhaps the man didn't hear him, perhaps he didn't care, but he walked off. Kriffing Humans. They were so proud and didn't truly understand family and protecting each other.

Kye threw caution to the wind, and as the man walked away, Kye charged up the ramp. He could see how bad the damage was, but also could see if this "she" needs assistance.

As he climbed the ramp and turned the corner he came into the chamber Sakadi was in - just as she took out the saber with the corrupted crystal. Instinctively Kye snatched his hilt from his belt, putting it in a ready position, but not igniting it.

"Who are you?!" Kye growled, but also glancing up and down the damaged person's body. Did he mistake these people - maybe they weren't Alliance... but sith?

For a moment, she just stared at the weapon. The hilt was a little too large, it felt much heavier than her own and most importantly, red wasn't her color.

Feeling a little dizzy, the lavender-skinned woman sat down on the floor. She had to remember that her wounds weren't healed yet, despite the rapid healing and fresh bandaged Brent had applied. If it weren't for him, she would've been dead. The Knightess made a mental note to thank him later, as she took a deep breath. Did the Sith have water aboard of his ship? She felt a little thirsty.

As she scanned the ship, looking for something to drink, she heard footsteps. Was that Brent? No.. it couldn't be. She was a bit dazed, but the intruder's pace was different from that of Brent, and that was troublesome. She was still tired and depleted, could she summon enough strength to defend their spacecraft?

As the stranger turned the corner and stepped inside the chamber, Sakadi tilted her head. A young Bothan? What was a Bothan doing on Tython? Her eyes followed his hands as he reached for his lightsaber. Was he a Sith?! She had no idea where they were, which suddenly made her aware of the danger she faced.

Sakadi crawled back a little as the young man growled at her. She needed more distance between her and the strange Bothan, for she wouldn't be able to fight him physically. A Force based assault, however? That was a different story.

Summoning the Living Force through her body, Sakadi conveyed a telepathic message.

"Sakadi Marathi Sinvala. Jedi Knight. Identify yourself or surrender."

He made his way back from the shop. The Bothan seemed to have give up and stayed with the crowd as he went and came back. The old man was in tow. "By the Force, ya crash into a cliff or something?" The man said. "Kinda...yeah actually. Though I was hanging on the cockpit from the outside when that happened." That warranted a judgmental look from the engineer. Brent just shrugged and kept walking.

The crowd was starting to disperse. Nothing new was coming of them just standing around watching the inert ship. The repairman would circle the outside of the ship. "I'm gonna have a looksee. I'll let ya know in a sec." Brent nodded and headed up the ramp, not knowing that Kye was already inside. Brent rounded the corner to see the canine-like man and draw his quickdraw blaster quickly, leveling it at the center of the Kye's lower back. "You know its rude to board a ship without first asking permission." He had no idea who this guy was. He has asked questions and was being nosy. Now he had walked onto his ship that he had just stolen from some sith. Brent had to think more than just about himself. Sakadi was still injured and he had to make sure she also got some help.

Confusion was quickly followed by relief. He was ready to fight, but his mind was filled with words and understanding. "Sakadi Marathi Sinvala. Jedi Knight. Identify yourself or surrender." He was confused by the experience, but then quickly relieved when the words hit home. His arms went slowly down as he spoke, "Thank the Force. I'm Kye Gruu'kran Jedi Padaw-"

He was cut off as another voice startled him. "You know its rude to board a ship without first asking permission." The man spoke. The same disrespectful human as before....

Kye knew better than to move suddenly, so he slowly raised his arms, lightsaber hilt still in hand.

"I meant no intrusion... friend."

He hoped the Jedi Knight would speak on his behalf.

She observed his stance carefully, as he lowered his arms when he spoke. She wasn't in the mood to be surprised again today, not after that red-skinned Sith had flanked her twice. No, she was a lot more wary now. He sounded relieved to see her though, which made her doubt that he was going to attack her. Although if it was part of his plan, he had lost his chance to do so, as she saw the familiar figure of Brent appear behind him.

With the return of her ally, Sakadi dared drop her guard a little. The stranger who had boarded their newly obtained spacecraft was an odd one. The way he talked, the way he carried himself, it was... unique, so to say. Nevertheless, the Knightess could tell that he had no ill intentions. Besides, she could sense his alignment to the Light side of the Force. She just hoped she wasn't wrong.

"It's okay Brent... I think..." she telepathically conveyed for both of them to hear. "I'm doing a lot better already thanks to your help." she continued. She didn't know what exactly had happened after she had passed out during the battle. All she knew, is that there had been an unbelievably cold darkness around her. And a single light; him. It made the Knightess wonder, if it had been someone different, would she still have survived that battle?

So... how is the ship? And what is our next move? I take it we'll go look for Grandmaster Breaux?"
she asked him soon after, wanting to get off this planet as soon as possible. The Jedi assault had failed, and she figured that the Empire would come looking for any stragglers.

"That's too bad, friend. You did such a good job at it." He responded. His eyes looked past the Bothan though after hearing Sakadi's assurance she was fine. The Drast kept his weapon on the new arrival though all the same.

With his free hand he opened it and pulled the saber from Kye's hand. He would know he was a force user at that point. Once it was in his grip he looked it over and ignited the blade. Immediatly the interior around him was cast in partial blue light from the blade. Giving it a look he lowered his blaster and then turned off the lightsaber.

Walking around Kye he headed towards Sakadi, tossing the lightsaber over his shoulder as he went expecting the Bothan to catch it. He was off the hook. "Yup, the GM, could probably use our help. I have the local repair shop guy taking a look. He'll get us fixed up in now time." His attention began to look towards the different boxes off to one side that the previous crew had left. Brent noticed that the Sephi had found something. He let her know he saw the lightsaber by staring at it for a little bit longer than normal but said nothing.

Turning back around he looked at the bothan. "Well you going to introduce your new friend Sakadi. I guess the Jedi Order doesn't teach padawans common sense. How long you been with the GA, kid?" He crossed his arms as he leaned against the bulkhead.

His head was spinning. Was the Grandmaster in danger? The Bothan scowled as Brent walked around him, barring his teeth slightly. The human tossed his saber, Kye caught it and fastened it to his belt again.

Kye's eyes met Brent's as he spoke. The words stung, and Kye was slightly taken aback.

"Excush me, but we are on a hoshtile world in a kriffing broken ship with a wounded knight and you want to make shmall talk? And you think I lack common shense? Do you really believe we are going to repair thish ship before the sith find us?" Kye didn't bother to hide his disdain for the human male.

The Bothan looked back to Sakadi obviously looking at her for cues rather than Brent.

The local repair guys? How were they going to fix the damage inflicted to the ship in time? They only had a small time frame to get off planet. The Sith had been prepared for the attack on Tython, but they would still need time to recover. And those who weren't, were likely rushing to aid their Empress. Her gaze shifted from Brent to Kye, as the Bothan Padawan voiced his concern in a rather.. crude way. His disdain was visible and it was something Sakadi heavily disapproved of. Something she wasn't afraid to hide either.

"Is there anything we can do but make small talk? The way I see it, we are stuck on this world and our only way out is to repair this ship. The question isn't whether the Sith find us first or not, but if we can hold out until the ship is repaired. And if we're lucky enough, we might even be able to aid the Grandmaster." Sakadi stated with a harsh tone. She understood why the Bothan felt a little attacked, but he didn't need to lash out either. Feeling the tension, Sakadi continued to convey her thoughts.

"Right now, what matters is that we stick together. As far as I know, we are the only three survivors besides Master Breaux. We'll have to get along if we want to get out."

Brent patted his pockets. "where did I put that?" He spoke to himself, rudely as Kye tried to express his frustration and confusion in equal measure. "Ah, there it is." The man fished a bottle opener from his pocket and went over to the fridge before pulling out a bottle of some kind which he believed to be some kind of alcohol.

"Well...the way I see it. Sakadi is not going to heal any faster by worrying over her. We can't leave until the ship is repaired so we may as well wait in what little amount of comfort we can manage." He pointed towards the fridge for Kye or Sakadi to search the Crusader's old things. He was completely at ease since there was nothing he could personally do to hurry up the process. The Jedi Knight said as much telepathically to the two of them.

The Drast would take a long gulp from the beverage and then grimace at the taste. It as not exactly what he had expected but it deffinitly was alcohol though not a kind he particularly enjoyed. Moving over to Sakadi he had her sit down. "So unless you can speed up the repairman's job, can make this planet friendly, or teleport us to the Gee-em you should probably take a chill pill. Or you could always get off my new ship and save yourself..." He waved his hand and wiggled his fingers like how someone might do to express a scary scinario. "Careful, there are sith around every corner. I hear they eat children and steal your retirement fund."

Regardless of what the young and passionate Bothan did Brent would turn his attention back to the Sephi. His hand moved over the wounded area of her body to focus the force and assist in the healing process. It would take time and he was nowhere near adept enough to do as much as he wanted but at least if some surprise came around Sakadi would be less injured. The rest of the time there would be spent in whatever kind of semi-relaxed state he could manage until the stolen vessel was repaired.

Feeling the disapproval from Sakadi did nothing but sour Kye's already sour mood. She was correct, which only made him more frustrated.

He's blue eyes shifted back to Drast - icy cold - as he continued his diatribe. Kye was dumb-founded. He understood the gravity of their situation, and was starting to understand the need for them to be calm and wait, but to be so... haphazard.... it just rubbed the Bothan the wrong way. Kye understood meditation and being patient, but also knew himself - if he didn't do something he would likely explode.

With his teeth showing he spoke, "I'll see if I can help at all." He then turned to walk away and growled a nasty expletive in Bothese toward Brent.

Walking into the back hatch where the engine and other major systems interfaced, Kye took a deep breath and calmed himself before looking around to access what damage he could to the systems. The damage seemed significant on the actual hull, but it was worth looking internally. Plus, it gave him space - which right now he needed.
