Hi everyone. I'm never one for many words in these introduction things, so I'll get right to it. Elijah has stepped down from moderatorship due to personal reasons. He was a good tech mod, and his contributions will be missed. Taking his place is @Loco! I look forward to making him do everything working with him.
We have a couple rules tweaks. When we adjusted weapons to not have automatic or burst-fire except for really big, bulky guns, this shifted the balance heavily in favor of armors. As such, the following amendments are being made:
Armor Rules:
The maximum resistance per weapon category possible is as follows:
3 light blaster shots resistance
2 blaster shot resistance
1 heavy blaster resistance
Fabric armors such as armorweave will be less durable. This applies to all armors both light, heavy, and medium.
Weapon rules:
There is no variance in damage inside a "class". Having a reduced clip, reduced time to overheating, shortened range, etc will not boost your weapon's damage. These things have been done before, but damage in relation to weapons inside a class has always been a little arbitrary. We also have four pages of weapons approved, so at this point we're not concerned about missing roles, or not having a gun that fits a purpose.
As far as how a light blaster compares to a normal blaster to heavy, use the following:
Heavy blaster = 2 regular blaster bolts (and fires slower than regular blasters, with more kick)
Regular blaster = 1.5 light blaster bolts
Nothing else should change, you can still choose to have a revolver-style six-shooter pistol if you want. You just won't have to make a submission for it, so long as it falls strictly within the range, ammunition, firing mode, and damage rules. However, any addition such as scopes, grenade launchers, rangefinders, cable launcher, etc will require the weapon to be submitted.
