Howdy everybody! My name is Nick, and it's a pleasure to meet you all.
It's taken me a little while, but I think I'm finally ready to try my hand at roleplaying in what I believe to be the most expansive, extensive, and captivating universes to ever be conceived. For much of my life, Star Wars was always a symbolic backdrop which made boys into men and planets into rubble, and I never thought much of it apart from the 'dorky space magic and lightsabers.' Lo and behold, I stumble upon Wookiepedia one day, and the entire mirage gets blown wide open. I happen upon a literal universe of content that puts everything else to shame in terms of lore and characters, and I couldn't help but become engrossed in the stories and legends that shaped the galaxy which we all have come to know and love.
As for me as a person, I am a lover of politics, religion, and history. I see the three as a triage which shapes the human condition into a patchwork of complex fibers which, much like the Force, ties everything together. It's ironic that these three volatile subjects are often quite hard to discuss, so I simply keep them all Star Wars-related since our Expanded Universe is blessed with discourse that is just as juicy.
I have been a part of several other universes in the past, mainly World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Mobile Suit Gundam, though I could never seem to find that special niche that allowed me to truly make the character I wanted to while giving me a literal universe to play around in. With Star Wars, I am able to not only put my knowledge of mecha/fantasy to use, but I am also given a chance to improve my sense of storytelling while helping to shape the events of the galaxy to come!
I'm really excited to be here, and I look forward to having some awesome adventures with y'all!
