New to the site. I come bearing questions!

Hey all,

Hope everyone is well and enjoying this Star Wars Day! I have been involved with Star Wars RP in the past on the Starwarsrp.net site (Star Wars Chaos) and have been itching to get my feet wet again, however in doing so I have come across this site again and now I am torn on which site to choose.

I like how this site seems to more closely align itself with the Star Wars Canon as it can be a little frustrating on Chaos with writers referencing Canon and Legends content willy nilly even to the point of contradicting. However i know they write their stories much farther along the timeline to avoid most conflict. So I am trying to decide so if anyone has any advice I would appreciate it! If convinced I am hoping to move my existing characters over to this site and kind of restart there stories.

Some Questions I have.

One of my OCS is a powerful Sith Lord who influences my main characters pretty straight from where my stories begin but I am worried this sites rules will not allow me to properly have him involved.

Also could a Jedi Characters master be an NPC that I help control? Or is that not allowed?

Also my main character is HEAVILY tied to the planet of Mon Cala, however i read that Mon Cala was poisoned in a terrorist attack. How severe is the poisoning? Like on the level of Darth Krayt in Legends?

Welcome to the site! I think if you're looking to start off mega-powerful and influential, this site may struggle to fit your needs. We all love the journey to get there vs. writing it out the gate. The stories here are also very interwoven and interconnected. We're not a sandbox form of writing. These two things are usually very jarring for folks that are used to other rp sites. Now to answer your questions:

1. No one starts off as a powerful Sith Lord here. We start off as the basic Jedi Knight or Sith Champion rank and work our way up. The exception is if you have a higher-ranked character that gets killed (by your choice), you may create a new character starting at that rank.

2. The master can be NPC, but we don't really encourage rping by yourself to advance a story as this is a collaborative site.

@Sreeya got your questions. Just dropping in to say welcome to the Site, also having tried my hand on Chaos a few years back. I can say that once you get used to the way we tell stories and collab I think you'll find this site a better experience. In any case, good luck to you.
