Hi.
My name is Ben. I previously joined this website ten years ago under the name of Vazela (which I still go by). Don't worry if you've never heard of me I never stuck around the website long enough to be of any note. I re-joined the community two and a bit years ago in 2019 after invitation by an ex-girlfriend but never made the effort to join in. At both times of joining the site I was a member of two other SWRPs that were pre-occupying enough to keep me away from this one. But the website always stuck with me in-case I ever stopped participating in those other communities.
I have been retired from roleplay since December '19 and from then to now I have not written Star Wars whatsoever. The only content I have consumed since then is the occasional Star Wars Theory on YouTube and the recent shows on Disney+. I really like The Mandalorian and despite the criticisms given to The Book of Boba Fett I really enjoyed the show. In particular I liked the second episode in that series and it is because of the show that I have wanted to return to writing Star Wars ever since I finished it.
In all nine films- from the originals to the prequels to the sequels- I would say that my favourite film out of all of them was Revenge of the Sith. Watching Palpatine's plan culminate and the fall of Anakin Skywalker was enthralling for me. The film I despise most in the series is The Clone Wars as I find the writing to be extremely bad in that particular one though The Rise of Skywalker is certainly a close second.
Big fan of all the extra films they did and I count myself in the minority of people who wants another Solo film. I really liked the character of Kira in that film and the introduction of Darth Maul at the end of it was enough to make me want a sequel. I am unlikely to get one now as the film was released a long time ago but I still want another film.
I have been roleplaying since 2003. Star Wars since 2008. I begun on a children's website called Habbo Hotel where I would later migrate to a private version of the game as Sulake was cracking down on roleplay by the time of 2015ish. I am also a former member of the Chaos board owned by Tefka. My favourite characters to write have always been Sith in origin. I like to tackle dark subject matter in my writing and character portrayal. That being said I have played a Mandalorian or two in the past.
