Hey there Sithies, Sacred Bandies and you cheeky spies from other factions! Welcome to our second newsletter! So! What's been going on since the timeline dropped? Quite a bit, actually, with even more coming up in the near future!

First off, we've had a few run-ins with the Jedi on the borders of Sith space. There have been some skirmishes back and forth, some of which we lost, but most of which are still underway. The links to those conflicts can be found both in our mission board and in the Jedi mission board if you're interested in reading up on them.

Secondly, and this is the part I find the most exciting, we went to meet with the Senate! That's right. Nisara and Darth Vyrdesseus have ventured all the way to Chandrila to talk with the Senate about recent Border Alliance attacks on Serenno and Yavin IV, the death of the late High Commander, and the potential war between the Sith Brotherhood and the Republic. It's sure to be a fun little thing, but what's to come of it? We do not know, as of yet, but we'll find out soon enough!

The final thing, and this is what will likely interest you the most, is that we finally have our first main battle of the timeline! The Battle of Felucia! This battle will take place throughout the course of three different threads. You can find out all about that RIGHT HERE!

That's it for now. i'll update you all in a couple weeks when even more craziness has been unleashed upon everyone! Until then, have fun!

This is unusual of me to say about a battle, but...

I'm pumped. Hope I get picked :D

Admin Ruling: Battle results in a status quo remaining. Sith Brotherhood has a small presence on the planet and the Jedi have verified that there is enemy presence on Felucia. This is in part due to the thread outcomes resulting in 1 tie, 1 thread leaning towards a Jedi victory, and another thread leaning towards a Sith victory. Still, the Jedi did complete part of their purpose of going to Felucia in confirming the Brotherhood is on the planet. Further specifics on the threads are as followed:

-Dogfight. Jedi-leaning victory. The objective here was to stop the Sith interception of the Jedi convoy. In the thread, Cameron was written in a corner by the two Jedi fighters, as Tsunami had flown away to try to lure a Jedi away, though the Jedi didn't do that. Now, by the thread it appears Cameron timed out in the 48 hour limit to post and would have been killed as a result. However, the 2 week time limit expired before that 48 hour limit completed, so Cameron isn't auto-killed. However, Cameron was written in a corner and about to be defeated. As such, the ruling is that Cameron is defeated by the Jedi fighters and captured. Tsunami is far enough away she has room to escape.

-Mud Fight. Sith-leaning victory. Marf wrote Jabonicus into a corner. As the time limit neared, Marf managed to give a head injury to Jabonicus along with disarming Jabonicus. Narsi and prairiedog's fight was a lot of dancing around and thus no clear advantage. While Narsi attempted to intercept prairiedog's climb up a Giant Purple Mushroom, I did the math and considering the distance Narsi was from prairiedog, the distance prairiedog needed to climb, and the time of when Narsi aimed and fired, prairiedog would not have been intercepted before getting to the top, and thus would not have fallen to injury. As such, prairiedog would be capable of fleeing. In conjunction with the fact that Narsi doesn't prefer violence against women and prefers surrenders, prairiedog would be able to escape. As such, Jabonicus is captured and prairiedog escapes.

-Dirty Tactics. Tie. There wasn't very much that happened here. As Boli put it, it was basically some telekinesis stuff with an arrow and grenade thrown. It was ruled by Boli in this thread that it is a draw, with all participating parties allowed to escape.

Cameron has since the end of the thread joined the Jedi, so I think the character that would've been captured is archived. Anyway, well done Sithies you've kept the evil Jedi at bay!

Do I hear spice-party!?

First off: I can't believe there's literally dozens of videos on youtube filled with nothing but the sound of crickets for literal hours... like..really?

Now to the issue at hand:
I've been waddling in a shallow pool of nostalgia and found myself back in the fifth timeline with main factions without faction leaders. Wait what? No FL-team? Our Jedi friends may ask themselves that question in shock, but my fellow sithies know exactly where I'm going with this...

If this timeline was a pint of beer, it must've been tapped by the British because it's turning stale way too quickly. @Marf is doing her utmost best to get us back on track, but she needs some help and I was thinking perhaps painting her forum name green would be a great start. I might get into a little bit of trouble for posting this, heck even typing this I find myself a bit annoying, but with a FL whose last post was quite literally a month ago and who to my knowledge has left no message as to why she's gone.. I'm just eager to get her replaced and continue with a spur of activity to move the plot forward.

Also, you really don't need to listen to those crickets sounds for the full eleven hours, three minutes and thirty-nine seconds. Like, seventeen minutes is enough.

A change in leadership is most certainly needed. From the top down, really.

Saul, our SBZ AFL, hasn't been seen since March 15th according to his profile. Also absent without a note or comment as to why (unless I missed it). As it is, literally half of the Sith leadership roster is MIA, with only one frequently active member (@Marf) doing her damnedest to keep this ship from going under.

I'm with @Ecclessey on this. The Sith need new leadership, and they need it yesterday.

Although this certainly is the preferred way to explain a change in leadership, with the leadership being inactive a coupe would succeed with merely writing an epilogue in the new newsletter. That's because there's no one to write the opposition and the leadership characters themselves would have been the desired final PvP battles. There's also little to motivate players to put their characters up as loyalists while the outcome is already determined. :p

I've not seen Saul, our respectable Warlord, do anything but post his profile. Now I understand he has a shattered hand (literally, @Gamov ) and thus explained his absence in February and I have no idea how long recovery takes...but as it's quite the uncertainty I won't call for his head and instead leave the decision to our soon-to-be-green-named Marf.

They could of just vanished. Poof gone no one knows where to, the brother hood fights a brief but brutal war of succession and then you have your new leadership.

Seems like I picked the right faction to return to. Thankfully I've got a lot of free time to write now that summer's rolling around; I can try and make some missions or help write story arcs if it'll help make things more active.

I think the first course of action is to alert a FL for our desire for change of leadership. If anyone wants an IC thread explaining it, idc. I was just spit ballin'.

You mean going up to Nisara's palace, pitchforks in hand, and enter her palace all intending to do a coup...only to realise it's completely empty?

My reasoning behind it being empty is that Nisara, in IC-posts, has never made it back from her visit to the Senate. She made a small deviation on her return to Sith space to meet with Czerka delegates, but went inactive during that PvP/mess and never posted with the character stating she had returned. We could battle some of the palace guards if people want some PvE but otherwise its just us finding out why we haven't heard from our Supreme Leader for a while..because she never came back. (cue in possible hatred for the Republic :p)

@Marf @Appolyon @Gamov @Flamjetxx @Jack and everyone else I forgot to tag, what do you guys think?

I think this is something we should be discussing in private instead of in an outdated newsletter thread.
