Edin saw the Councilor step out, but he didn’t do anything just yet. He much preferred a steady target than a moving one. He had to account for wind trajectory with the ships that swept in or took off. The Firrerreo calmly looked through his scope, following the councilor for a long moment to see how he moved and interacted with others. Even now he could tell the man was agitated, his fists curling and his jaw clenching.

The Imperial troops around the man followed him as his guard, making it difficult for Edin to find a clean shot. There was a limited amount of time he had before he had to take his shot, but for now the Firrerreo followed the movements. He remained perfectly still and hidden, controlling his breathing and preparation.

Indeed the Warmaster was angry as he received report that the captain who had been responsible for overseeing the supplies had not only failed to see the supplies protected, but had failed to deny them to the enemy as well.

Had it been his first such failure, perhaps there would have been another chance, but it was the third such failure. It was part of the reason the Warmaster had come here at all.

He reached out and let the Force wrap around the man's neck, lifting him nearly a foot off the ground as he throttled the life out of him one slow, agonizing second at a time. No way dared move and no one dared intervene as death was meted out to the failure.

Edin watched the scene take place, and the way the other Imperials stepped back in fear. This allowed him an unblocked view to the Warmaster. It also meant everyone else was completely distracted. Edin closed his eyes and drew in a breath before softly exhaling. He watched the captain slowly choke to death and he decided he was feeling generous today. As the man began to turn purple and had his eyes bulging out, Edin pulled the trigger.

The bolt would travel the length of the land between the forest and the base, arcing exactly as he had guessed. The beam darted across past the Imperials that were staring at the choking captain to land square in the side of the warmaster’s head. Edin was already on the move at that point, reassembling his rifle and jumping up from his hiding spot. His Imperial armor offered him some reprieve before chaos ensued.

This allowed him to waltz out past the hidden base and towards the rental speeder. On the way there, he shed bits of the armor, using gloved hands to keep his prints off. Within moments, he transformed back to his journalist self as he hopped into the speeder. With a missing thruster, it was a bit janky, but it would still travel. He would slowly make his way back to the rental zone, pay for the damages and be on his way off the planet.

The blaster shot ripped across the open air and slammed into the head of the Warmaster, taking off over half of his head in a single blow. The man whose eyes were bulging out was suddenly covered in a spattering of goo as the Sith Lord was flung bodily forward, face-first into the asphalt. Not that he felt it. Death was instantaneous with such a blow, and the Force received him through one manner or another.

And within seconds, everything descended into chaos. Alarms klaxons went up, ships went into the air, and scouts went out. Soldiers were deployed across the entire area, and lockdowns would be called.

Within moments, Dantooine's senior officers began calling for reinforcements, and the hammer would come down on Datooine. The job and battle may have been done, but the conflict was far from over.
