Well, as far as I'm concerned this is in a finished state. As her story progresses (or the moderators interject their own ideas and/or criticisms) she'll change, but for now, this is all anyone needs to know!

SHADOWS WITHIN THE FORCE
Noon appears to possess a mystical understanding of the force, with the talent and precision to mold and shape it beneath her will. While capable of utilizing any number of basic feats displayed by the Jedi and the Sith with great skill, she can also apparently create a terrifying presence about herself that negatively affects the mind, oft in the form of dark illusions that are capable of driving less-than-stalwart minds insane. Diving into the more queer aspects of her control, she appears capable of creating energy and altering physical matter.

Whether that means turning the soft flesh of a docile creature into quills fit for a razor beast or generating a veil of shadow to blanket light sources, she has clearly mastered the use of alchemy within the force, though it does take considerable effort and substantial time to accomplish. On her person, Noon carries with her a heavy yet small (to her) sphere of an unknown black metal that she commonly levitates around her person. The sphere is not perfectly smooth, decorated with dents, scratches, and scars that make it appear more malleable than lead, but on a whim, it is capable of transforming into different shapes of varying sizes and strengths. The most common form it takes is that of a long (six feet from the hilt), crudely designed but insidiously black sword, with no specific markings. It resembles a four-pointed-star with one tail serving as the blade. The unknown metal used in the sphere's construction appears to be capable of defending against lightsaber blows and blaster bolts, and can cut through other metals of varying strength with relative ease.

On a final, and perhaps the most important note, Noon appears to be drawn to the force itself. Locations with a strong force presence apparently 'feed' her abilities, and force users caught in her grasp without the will to resist often find themselves drained of their ability to use the force, and sometimes to the point of death.

"Log entry 3-22-1423-6A. My name is Professor Marki Utenialla and I am continuing studies from the expedition (unintelligible static) with the (unintelligible static) corporation. Ahem. The first thing we know about the 'Forsaken Queen', as the deceased patrons of this dead world called her, is that she was not really a Queen at all. In fact, Noon, a name we've only just now deciphered from the ancient texts and holocrons buried in the depths of this planet, was something akin to a priestess, or perhaps even just a steward, to a small order of what some may call knights.

They held influence over some magical force that apparently pervaded the entirety of the planet's culture, entwined in their beliefs and their everyday motions. From what was deciphered, these knights were composed of an order that oversaw two chapters; the Holders of the Moon, or perhaps Moons, or maybe even stars, and the Holders of the Sun or the day.

These knights monitored everything on the planet, from a planet-wide government, which happened to be its own separate entity in the form of a council of six-hundred and thirty-two ruling members, to general happenings in the smallest of communities. They were everywhere, and perhaps served as some form of peacekeeper, but the texts aren't very clear on much of that.

What is clear, is that something went wrong with Noon. In service to both chapters--and undeniably female and beautiful if the sculptures we've recovered are in any way an accurate representation--she was a healer, often using her abilities to manipulate this magical force of nature to mend wounds and temper the minds of the weak into strong and willing members of the order she served. What isn't clear is how or for how long, but that's not interesting, what is interesting is what was transcribed on several tablets we found further in! Mention of strange objects appearing in the sky, and terrifying hooded figures that towered over the local population appearing in several communities. They... (a soft scuffle, followed by yelling can be heard in the background) Hey! Hey, what are you doing? D-don't touch that!"

"Log entry 3-35-1425-8E. My name is Professor Marki Utenialla and I am continuing my studies from the expedition (unintelligible static) with the (unintelligible static) corporation. I apologize for the lack of updates in my personal log given the date, we have suffered a series of... accidents, I guess you could call them, during our extraction of the (unintelligible static) relics. Apparently, many of the tombs within are booby trapped, and though I don't mean to sound excited about all the macabre details, the defense mechanisms for protecting their dead are quite brilliantly designed. Oh, did I mention we found tombs beneath the (unintelligible static)'s foundation? Entire chambers devoted to the deceased, I think. Though there's nothing in the texts about them thus far, and we've still been unable to open the so-called holocrons we've found littered about the chambers.

What are holocrons doing here anyway? Oh! Back on topic, I think we may be getting closer to where Noon has been buried... we've also found more... (quiet shuffling is heard as he stalls a bit for a thought or two) ...scripture that details the strangers that visited this world, and why Noon became such a focus in it. Apparently, upon visiting, they were searching for those capable of using a mystical power very much similar to the power the Knights of Night and Day--something we've decided to call them--and that power is very similar to the mythology behind the force.. Thus, they found Noon. Though, according to the earlier texts, she wasn't always called Noon. She has a name but we can't decipher it, some of the volumes were badly damaged and what scraps remain offer very little insight into who exactly she was.

What we do know, however, is that the visitors eventually found her and took her as one of their own. At first she tried to get away and even tried to fight them, but over time she was ultimately corrupted by the visitors' power and then earned her namesake, Noon. We think the name is a literal translation of not just a title, but a time of day. Midday, Noon, or the one who stands between night and day. Though, that is just a bit of speculation on my part. Anyway, where was I... Ah! Noon turned on those she served with a great new and terrible power at her fingertips. She had the ability it appears to infiltrate and alter the minds of those too weak to resist, and eventually even their bodies.

According to the lore she turned them into great and terrible beasts, unleashing them not only upon her own people, but upon the visitors as well. Realizing their folly, the visitors attempted to stop Noon, but the power she wielded had grown to such terrible proportions, that they were incapable and fled back to the stars. With no one to oppose her, Noon began to reign terror upon her own world, but there's no clear motivation as to why. It's my theory that she had grievances with the Order. There's evidence of slavery, sexual discrimination and the torture of 'lesser beings' in the earlier texts, but not enough to prove anything solid. But the theory stands, something her own people did must have driven her to this misery, to create such an empire from the horrors her people experienced, using their fear to rule absolute. That's all we've been unable to find unfortunately, as we're still exhuming many of the tombs. With the new security precautions in place to prevent more accidents, it may be some time before we find anything substantial."

"Log entry 4-77-1945-0A. No time for introductions! We've done it. We found what we were looking for, and quite the find it is! Beneath leagues of tombs and hallows, we found a massive chamber nearest the core of the planet. Though it proved difficult to get into, we finally unsealed the main archways and discovered a pristine interior, untouched by time. Within is a dome, with pillars made of some kind of black metal and bricks like platinum decorating the ceiling and--you won't believe this, at least I didn't at first--the Tomb of Noon. Not only that, but countless historical texts and holocrons were found as well. Though... we also found a strange spherical object hidden within what we assume is a vault of some sort. It's small, barely the size of my palm and perfectly smooth and black, marked with a single gold icon that looks similar to prehistoric drawings of a star and a moon. It's surprisingly cool to the touch and... it makes me feel uneasy whenever I hold it. Perhaps it's just my imagination, or maybe there's some form of technology at work here we don't quite understand? I've mentioned it to (unintelligible static) and they've shown a great deal of interest in this over everything else.

Now that I think about it though, many of (unintelligible static)'s employees have been acting strange as of late. Even members of my own team have started to show queer signs of fatigue when we've barely lifted a finger. Environmentally conditions are a bit cool but ultimately comfortable and we've been tested for every disease and illness known to man. Most of us should be in perfect health but it... everyone appears very tired as of late. Perhaps it's just all the excitement, it can be very overwhelming! (There's a moment of silence and subtle breathing, the professor is clearly contemplating the situation) Perhaps there's something more to these chambers than we're aware of? Maybe another defense system that could be slowly affecting our health? Anyway, tomorrow I will begin deciphering these new texts to learn more about our comely host, Noon, and perhaps we will finally open her tomb and see what awaits within- (a sudden crash is heard, followed by loud, distance talking) Huh? What is going on? (Shuffling is heard as the professor presumably stands or moves to another location. Other footsteps can be heard as well, all hurried with more talking. Everyone sounds worried.) Moori? Moori is that you? What are you doing Moori?"

(A new voice is heard. That of a woman, calm, collected and entirely sure of herself... but also tired.) "Whisper, whisper, whisper. That's all they ever do. Whisper, whisper, whisper. Always behind you..." "Moori? Moori come away from there, Moori. Come now, come away from there-" "Can't you hear her, Professor? She's calling for you, through the crowd of liars and thieves. She's calling for you, reaching from a mound of leaves. She wants you to come, you hold the key to her salvation. She wants you to come, you hold her deliverance and her damnation..." (Moori appears to be hysterical, her voice very sing-song and lyrical.) "Moori, I think you may b-be ill, come away from there at once! Come now, there's something in the air m-"

"It's not just in the air, good Professor. It's everywhere. It touches everything and everyone, it flows through us. It penetrates us... and she controls it all. Can't you hear her? She's begging for you. You're her salvation, her hope in this very dark world. She's calling for you, through a crowd of liars and thieves. She's calling for you, reaching from a mound of lea-" (A sudden scream is heard, but it quickly becomes distant, as if someone is falling. Professor Marki cries out and other screams and gasps are heard.) "She... She... why did she do that?" (Others begin to talk about it, asking who and what and why. Moori has apparently thrown herself into a dark tunnel leading several hundred feet down to the fabled Tomb of Noon. It is unlikely she has survived.)

"What you just heard was our greatest mind throwing herself to her death... maybe there is something more to the air here than toxins or chemicals. I'll be making a request for more (unintelligible static) employees and equipment, and for the time being hopefully we can acquire some chemical suits. I would rather the chambers be evacuated in full, but the (unintelligible static) overseer believes it was just mental distress. I'm not so sure."

LOGS [DEATH] [DESTRUCTION] [DAMNATION] CRITICALLY DAMAGED... LOADING NEXT AVAILABLE LOG. PLEASE DON'T LOOK BEHIND YOU.

"This will be my last log entry. I don't know the date. It has been three weeks since we lost Moori. Two since we lost half the research team. Three days since we lost everyone else. People have... started to change. Some hurt themselves, some hurt others, but they all shared the same thing in common... they sang songs and childish rhymes through it all. I wonder why nothing has happened to me yet... is it because I hold this stone? Is it a key of some sort, or a ward of some great evil? I am a man of science, I don't believe in the supernatural, but what I'm experiencing cannot simply be explained away. Maybe it is all a part of some cruel joke? I have set a distress beacon in hopes (unintelligible screams) arrives with reinforcements and a quarantine team... but I don't think anyone is going to show up, not any time soon.

I don't think anyone is coming. I am alone. I still can't hear her despite the chanting of those who died. They always seem to tell me that she is calling for me. Is it because of what I hold? (Mild mumbling comes from him as someone seems to be whispering in his ear, the voice is feminine but barely intelligible) Why does she want it so badly? Could it really be Noon? Could she really still be alive? If so, then she must never have this, and if there is someone listening, hopefully from some place far away, it is important that... for your sake, that you never come here, and if it's too late... find this stone, and never let it go. I... I can hear her! Mere whispers but it is there, scratching gently behind my ear. She's trapped somewhere... somewhere deep. I think I know what to do... it has something to do with this stone. What would you do in my place, I wonder? I have no choice now. The entrance is gone, it moves whenever I try to leave, and the air grows colder... I'm going to throw the stone down that accursed hole and be done with it. (Shuffling is heard for several moments, before a noisy wind permeates the background ambiance.) It is done... I didn't even hear it land. I didn't... I... (his breathing is cut short, as if he saw something. For several moments nothing is said or done, but the noisy wind in the background persists.)"

Pbbbbt I hate what I wrote. This is why I shouldn't write when I'm tired, because it looks good then. Now that I'm awake I don't like it. This is going to take longer than I thought.

It seems to me you are taking an ancient kind of route with her. If she is indeed powerful, I would very much like (If I unbench my Sorcerer) to do threads where I learn from you. Maybe the learning of alchemy/magic if you did go that path as @AchillesHell mentioned.

She'd probably be pretty good with any of that.

Mmhmm, that's what I was thinking. She's very powerful within the force, but she also utterly relies on it for everything. She's not physically strong and her health, though technically immortal as long as she uses the force to keep herself alive, is pretty bad. The whole idea was her basically being a mummy, haha.

You know what? You took a character with no given description and wrote a story to her that is phenomenal. We don't actually know anything about her, but we know enough about her through this story that you don't NEED to know more. This is something I want to see in-thread very badly.

Really enjoy this... like a lot..

I currently and slowly making a Backwoods Voodoo Witch type character that would be really in to the type of zaney stuff going on in this story, it would be lovely to role play with you sometime during this timeline! I only have this so far, as a taste for the character.

Updated her force powers to better reflect the new rules and of course, her 'horrifying' nature. I'm also thinking about making her a known secret to the Jedi Order and/or Council, like something they hoped might stay buried but is now out n' lurking around.

Excellent character, both scary and intriguing, i like the vibe given off by the character... especially with this playing in the background on my youtube haha which to be fair i think suits the character from what ive seen and read (i like the Mummy feel too). I would love to engage your character in an RP sometime when the timeline begins. So far, to me however, Noon looks sound and is well put together- so no criticism from me :)

Going to be updating this again soon. Maybe not this morning, it's already 4:25 am, but possibly later tonight. Will be ending the above as a backstory and creating a new section played in the sense of 'intelligence' reports or something like that. We'll see where I can take it that'll be fun n' interesting.
